Edwards est fire alarm systems are in a lot of public schools in my area specifically my county and thankfully they had no problems with them even though Edwards EST has had trouble over the years but in school I went through that use that company for a long time they have not had any issues.
Not sure about the first one the second one was some sort of floor scrubbing machine usually it’s things like space heaters kettles plug in cooktops etc.
One of the cardinal rules of electrical work is that you NEVER reset a tripped breaker without checking for the cause of why it tripped!! What if you had a damaged receptacle? Or something plugged in that was defective or has a bad cord/plug? You could very well end up with a fire or someone getting seriously hurt. The way you guys did it in this video is far worse than letting "anyone" else resetting it.
Yep but they won’t operate as efficiently or effectively in subzero temperatures that was the case of older heat pumps but these brand new heat pumps they work down to 20 below zero temperatures good for you up in Canada because in Canada it does get that cold
I should have been more specific in my reply to your question about them. They are nothing special. It is literally just some light fixtures that are not controlled by a switch or light and control that just stay on all the time they are nothing different than any of the other fixtures.
@@nics-systems-electric QEL is the only electronic latch retraction that I use for exit devices that require electronic latches. I use it for access control systems and for fire rated openings where dogging isn't allowed. I hated the old EL devices because, the solenoid always needed adjustments. I have very few problems with the QEL which is a motor.
@@chadrowland5234 They don’t seem to cause too many problems for us we have at least two on all 28 schools and some schools like this one in this video have many of them sometimes we seem to use just a normal rim latch 99 series with electronic strike for access control not sure which would be more reliable The QEL‘s are great when you want to have a removable double door centrepiece
@@nics-systems-electric The removable center piece is known as a mullion. How I pronounce it is like this, mol-liun. Like saying "million but replace the "i" after the m with a U. But it is called a mullion. The QEL is great for dogging fire rated devices and double doors with a mullion but sometimes I use electronic strikes with CD99 devices and dummy handle on the outside. Both are terrific options. Have you ever heard of the CD99 device?
Dang, I wish my school looked this nice
That was quite interesting, I'm all for seeing more of these from you!
Nice video good job on the maintenance keep up the work I love your vide
Awesome! 😎
Really cool
Nice!! DO you have any videos of you doing a test of the fire alarms at your high school?
Yes it’s a long one 45 minute video but my favourite fire alarm testing at any of the schools

Nice video! Im about to upload a video to my channel of some fire alarm installing
Nice
Nice a bit of a elevator clip!
Honestly, I think I like the canadian exit signs better than the American exit signs.
The that I live has a NFS-320 that monitors both fire and security as the security zones on the security system keep going into alarm
This only happens if the resistor is connected
What caused the breaker to trip in the school(s) that you’ve worked on?

Just film the floor like the other fire alarm techs do lol
I could do that
How could heat pumps work up in Canada in a very cold climate?
Heat pump still operate in the cold

Can you show us the night lights, please?

12:23 is that William Isaac Shart Elementary?
Yes lol
Was that Lake Ontario?
It was a big lake won’t say which one for privacy
@@nics-systems-electric Alright. Nice video either way.
@@nics-systems-electric No fair! I give up on hide and seek!
At the very beginning, that sounded like a Von Duprin QEL device activating.
Yeah it was we use those all over the school district along with Salto access control systems
