Thanks Nic, an absolutely perfect way to close out 2023. The bell drills/tests are the best by far cause let’s face it; 1. It’s a far better alarm signal than a piezo will ever be and 2. In ten years there more than likely won’t be any bells left. Keep saving those 439D’s as you modernize, they will most certainly become more and more collectible with each year that passes.
By the way, I realized that your deck and the neighbors deck actually has string lights, because most time during the nighttime videos and the daytime videos, I saw the string lights at night time on your neighbors deck, and during the daytime there were that saw the string lights on your deck
At least the EST is being replaced. Maybe an NFS-320c or NFS2-640 (depending on how big the old system is) with some XP6-MA cards (to cover the zones) and some power supplies (to cover the old signals and/or new synchronized l-series devices) would be an ideal retrofit replacement. I’d also put some ACS Annuciator cards in the panel to make disabling things/controlling things easier.
Hey now I have a question about strobes. How do you actually prevent people with epilepsy from having an “allergic” reaction to strobes? I mean, the strobes are all unsynchronized.Greetings from Germany and keep it up. :-)
I like those bells set on continous🥰
You can't beat the sound of a good bell ! Many of our UK systems use continuous bells on their fire alarms, as always a great video, many thanks. 👍

The “flat screen” joke deserves recognition.

Nice video as always.👍 PS: You wrote storbes and not strobes in the title.
How old do you have to be to become a fire alarm technician?
