  • In today's episode I solve a two-decades-old electrical/lighting mystery that could very well end up being a game-changer for those who teach in our High School Classrooms! Stay tuned!
And speaking of mysteries, why do I always seem to be wearing a red t-shirt on the days that I decide to film an episode?
Hi there, my name is Arne and I perform facilities maintenance at a three-campus school in Langley BC. With 1200 students, three schools and various other outbuildings, there's always something to do. I love my job; not only does my work benefit many, every day brings new challenges, which keeps me on my toes and in problem-solving mode.
Like everyone else in our province and country, as a school we are now approaching one year of navigating the Covid-19 pandemic as best we can - and the "new normal" isn't so new anymore... which is probably why it's taken me up until now to release my first episode of season 2. Thank you for your patience.

Thanks for answering, just seems weird, as all power switches I have ever come across work that way. Must confuse the tourists.

Why not install a double switch in the existing box and do away with all that crazy shit lol

Valid question, and that’s exactly what I did on subsequent conversions. Unfortunately, at the time I came across this, supply chain issues due to the pandemic didn’t make that possible.

Why did you put the switches upside down?

Perhaps it's different in your country but in Canada UP is ON and DOWN is OFF. The other way and the writing on the switches would have been upside down.
Check here, you can read that the switch is in the OFF position: www.homedepot.ca/product/leviton-single-pole-toggle-switch-white/1000105587
      Thanks for your question.
