This is how you “get cardio in” whilst seated in a char, rollator, or scooter. You will combine 3 multi-planar exercises and perform each for 20 seconds on and 20 seconds of rest for multiple rounds - this is called HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING or H.I.I.T.
The benefit of HIIT training is that short, quick, intense bouts of movement raises heart rate and metabolic rate in a way that elicits a physiologic response without taxing your brain and body.
In this drill you will be doing these HIIT reps using arm motions AND trunk movements.
    You will be performing:
    1. Arm running - Move arms like you are running fast, keep your core gently braced.
    2. Boxing - You will be alternating punching arms in a jab-cross movement + rotating your trunk.
    3. Jumping Jack Arms - Move your arms in a jumping jack or snow angel motion, moving from your shoulder blades and not your hands.
When you move in all three planes of motion and focus on stabilizing your core, this will activate MANY MUSCLE GROUPS thereby boosting metabolic demand and the possibility of breaking a sweat - whew!
I’ve had many Gymmers tell me how fun these cardio drill are and how much improvement they have felt in their core strength, body control, and ENERGY!
These are really powerful and easy to do everyday without overworking yourself.

I have limited mobility with my right arm and shoulder so can’t do the exercises using it. Is it ok to just use one arm while doing these?
