Thank you. You made diagnosis, gathering tools and removing my CRACKED shifter bellcrank, quick and easy. Ordering a new one right now :) Next up is to figure out why it's so damn hard to shift.
Mine was as well, that rod that connects to the bellcrank is most likely bent (even if only so slightly). I was able to straighten mine out in a bench vise no problem...mine shifts a lot smoother now.
@@marcslis7015 Without the ATV running just try to shift it with that side cover off and you should see the rod flexing, where that bend is is where you may need to straighten it out a bit. That's what I did and it made a huge difference.
Are you referring to the clutch? I have just recently done that... But didn't make a video although I could explain it fairly simply, not near as hard as you might think.
The bellcrank you linked is steel. You replaced the OEM aluminum one with a steel one? Has that worked fine so far? I just would rather have that $20 part fail than the transmission
Agreed and no the new one was also aluminum, the main description says "steel" but then below it says "aluminum, alloy steel, zinc"...its aluminum just like the original.
Do you know on average what it cost for part and or dealership to fix this? Family member broke my clutch pushing down on park and now it’s hella loose!
Then unfortunately you have bigger problems my friend...maybe JB Weld? Not sure what all would be involved in replacing that other piece but I imagine a lot.

So if I have the same symptom with the loose shifter but those two parts are still good and intact, what else could it be if mine is stuck in reverse?
Any check engine lights? Failing clutch can cause "clutch walk" and make shifting hard or impossible.
