why is this controversial? They've had Sisters of Battle in Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Soulstorm pc game since 2008. I've had a blast playing that faction. My favorite character line in the game/faction is "Faster than blasphemy!"

Custodes are super powerful warriors with near demigod like strength, speed, and durability, they deal with the physical threats for the Emperor. The Sisters of Silence have a supernatural ability that makes them super effective against the more super natural, immaterial creatures like demons and stuff. Custodes can’t do what the Sisters of Silence can do, the Sisters of Silence can’t do what the Custodes can do. They fill out each other’s limitations in protecting the Emperor. THIS is what I call TRUE EQUALITY.

After all gw themselves told us they've been in the lore all this time you know previous editions call them the brotherhood of demigods and now all this time they changed it this edition too gathering of demigods.
