An insider spilled the beans. Amazon studios, who has the rights to make a 40k show, insisted there be women in power armor and not a sister of battle. Amazon forced them to include this to pave the way for a female custodian in the show.

Yes. Sisters of Battle is one.
Imperial Sisters of Silence and Sisters of Battle and Aeldari Howling Banshees aspect warriors are all female only. Some of the Imperial Death Cults seem to be female-only but I'm not sure if this is canon or not.
Anyone making the claim female-specific units and forces don't exist in 40K is full of sh^t.

I feel the same as you Tyrone. I've been hovering around 40k because it looks cool, it looks fun, and it looks like something I could totally fall in love with. But the sheer size of the lore and not knowing at all where to begin makes me hesitant to get started. On top of that there's all this new b.s... *sigh*

the strange feeling of "I'm glad I'm not into this". I've thought about getting into this but I didn't even know where to start. They have different games that are on different genres... and from the Steam page of each of the games it looked like they didn't sell well.
I think the most successful game is Total War: Warhammer, which is not 40k. Because there is a difference between Warhammer and Warhammer 40k, 40k is in the future, while the other is medieval fantasy 🤨

The lack of female custodes has been a huge plothole many writters have always wanted to fix but thr very black library was afraid for decades to.
Unlike astartes which are just horrible human grotesque experimental weapons, custodes are the peak human condition, the perfection of human genome, the whole genome.
