Love my G4. Samsung has QC issues, no DV and worse imaging processing. If you like extremely vibrant colors then i agree the Samsungs are nice but there is much more to the viewing experience than that. Since a majority of what i watch is upscaled, LG is clearly the winner with its image processing. Thats much more important than slightly more vibrant/saturated colors, especially for someone who is more of a purist and enjoys watching content as accurately as it should be seen. Your bias against LG is clear and its fun to a point but its also getting extremely old.
I own a C1. It sits in a closet. Better technology replaced woled. I've said numerous times if lg goes QD-OLED I'm running out to buy one, and that it's game over for everyone else. So stop being quick to label. LG is behind the times. You bought the wrong tv. You'll see that when lg has better color filtering.
The take about 11 year old colors is extremely unfair. For instance, back in 2017 LG Woleds had substantially less color coverage(by 15-20%) in P3 and rec 2020 compared to 2023 models. And more than two times less brightness and color luminance. Plus a ton of other problems They are indeed stagnating now. But that hasn't been going for 11 years. That's just untrue
I went farther back than your example in this video. I took the B6 vs the C4 on rtings.com and showed you the color is exactly the same. I'll see you and raise you. The B6 from 2016 has P3 coverage of 99.5% vs the LG G4 only having 98.4, and bt.2020 coverage of 75.8 on the b6 vs 75 on the G4. The stagnation has been going on since 2016. And here is a VERY tangible example of that. I understand you may feel it's unfair or untrue, but it's not. Woled colors are dated. The 11yr old color mention, refers to the outdated way of using the white subpixel that sours colors. Nothing I said was unfair or false. You should know by now, I root everything in fact. The brightness is a non benefit when it washes color.
I agree with you. But what about the samsung woled tvs they have better colors? Because its easy to find anything about the qdoled, but the samsung woled has better colors not like the qdoled but better than lg?

I was looking into the LG 90 SERIES QNED. It's 1,800 right now. My top 3 85in tvs are Hisense U8N, Sony X90L, and LG 90 QNED. Which would you recommend? All 3 are 1700-1800 on the 85 in. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

I have a 83in g4 a 83 s90c a 65in g3 and a 65in g1 oh and a 77in a80J I believe the g4 colors look more natural than my s90 the colors appear hyper colorized, overly saturated. And I like the operating system on the lg more than the s90.

You just said you tweeked it. I showed it out of the box. If you needed to tweet it, it clearly was not to your liking. Nobody can escape how ugly lg oled is out of the box. They are not plug and play tvs.
@Quantum_TV I just used a pre existing profile Cinema Home and reduced the warmth from 30 to 20 , not exactly the calibration everyone keeps talking about. Granted the Cenima Home wasn't always their, it came later with one of the updates, right now expert (bright) preset and Cenima Home are the best presets for me, I just play with how warm the picture should be but otherwise it looks fantastic.
Interesting. I just saw a shootout where the LG G4 beats the Samsung S95D, Sony A95L, and Panasonic Z95 A. They didn't compare game modes for reasons I can't remember.
LG needs to update the 2021 Magic Remote, it's awful. If you ever tried the C9/CXC that remote is way better than that crap they came out with in 2021.
@Quantum_TV I do agree. But would I think is unacceptable is samsung leaving off dts audio support and Dolby vision. Now I know how you feel about Dolby vision, but that still doesn't excuse it. Just have it like everyone else.

One of the biggest reasons I choose LG over SAMSUNG is the warranty in my region . LG gives you a 3 years warranty for the C4 and 5 years for the G4. SAMSUNG gives you only one year warranty for all their tv's models which is ridiculous. I prefer a quiet mind. I am always with LG tv's and never had a single issue. I have many friends with SAMSUNG tv's with so many issues. I do learn a lot from anyway. Thanks!
I wanna get a S95D but I play a lot of games on my 4090 (and soon 5090) but I’ve heard that the one connect box is ass for pc gaming at high refresh rate and resolutions. So I’m leaning towards the G4.
The more I see you say that, the less I believe you ever had a G4. Anyway, I need one for the best possible input lag and Dolby Vision, plus being brighter at lower temperatures will help it last longer. (Which is probably why they offer a 5 year warranty that includes burn-in.) Still, there is the panel lottery to contend with. Might lose, but I’ll just exchange for another if it’s too noticeable. Or I could just wait another year or two and get something way better… hmm
