I recently wanted to upgrade my television and coincidentally came across your video about the S90D. I was so impressed that I purchased the 77-inch model for my master bedroom. The picture quality is absolutely captivating, and when paired with my Q990C soundbar, the experience is truly immersive. I am so pleased with this purchase that I am considering getting the same TV for my living room. Thank you for your insightful guidance.
Bro I just heard about the power surge man that freaking sucks. I’m so sorry! I’m on firmware 1120 because that’s what I had to do to set up the TV and then of course I immediately turned it offline and to me the S90D is definitely not dim! Of course I am coming from an LG C1 so maybe I don’t know what a dim QDOLED looks like but everything you said about the contrast and the color and the 3-D like imagery is definitely something I’ve seen since day one and I’ve never been so happy with a purchase! Also for anyone doubting you, you are so not lying about the sound! I have the S990D sound bar system to go along with mine and when I’m using Q Symphony, which I highly recommend doing for anyone that’s not, but when that’s turned on, there is some. content that is so loud I can’t have it any louder than like 12 or 13 in the numbers on the remote! It’s unbelievable!
Sorry but what's wrong with people wasting money on minimal improvements on TV like cmon... Do you also buy the iPhone 16 just because it has 1 more camera than the 15? It's a scam.
Hi, I recently joined your channel (paid member) and just bought a 77” S90C based on your advice (it was also to good a deal to pass up). Can I use your newest calibration settings for the S90D to calibrate my TV or should I use the settings on the video you did a year ago for the S90C? Thanks again for all the great work!
Right now I’m sticking to the TCL, but I will invest next year if you so happen to find the E 90 or E 95 from Samsung to be a quantum OLED upgrade. Until then, my queue M875 inch will dominate my living room, but I do hope that Samsung does step up more so that way I will invest in a E 90 or E 95 for my room upstairs.
cant wait for lg to start making the QD oleds now i have lg c1 77" and its awesome im not changing it yet plus i have your setings on my c1 and its realy great thank you q
Can we please get an updated calibration and settings video for the Samsung S90d, especially as it pertains to gaming? I am joining the community on Thursday this week once i get the ps5 pro. Just want to make sure i get the updated settings for the s90d.

@lakeshow1646 well I did put QT settings on as soon as I got it out of the box so not sure about that but I do play nintendo switch alot and it looks really good I can't say for sure how would look like with ps5 pro since I am also waiting for it

I bought the s90d and my a95k smashing it in clarity the highlights are amazing tho I wish samsung had better processing so I'm returning it for either the 95d or the a95l 77 in
Where are you having a problem with the processing at?? With 1080 and 720p content, the Samsung processor is just as good as any. Only trouble it has is with 480i and below content or where it has to polish a turd. Are you really watching reruns of Andy Griffith and MASH?
It will be interesting when you compare the S90D against the new contender, hoping to ruffle the American market, the Panasonic Z95A they are already bigging it up in the UK
Big Dog Quantum God Bless man and much love, I have the LG C1 cause of you man and it's the best MOTION I have ever used, is the Samsung S90D even better for motion , the same, or worse. If the motion just as good or better then i'm a get the S90D if not i'm a stick with the LG C1 thanks bro. especially the GAMING MOTION performance
I agree with you on the S90D and S95D. But what would you buy if you had to get an 83" or 85" TV and money was not the issue? When you take QD-OLED out from the options, things get a lot less clear.
Honestly I've bought Samsungs before, have a QLED Samsung in my living room as we speak but the one thing I wish they would do better is their processor. Samsung has been in the electronics game long enough with TVs and cellphones most notably that there's no excuse for them to be lagging behind Sony, LG, and Pansonic when it comes to motion processing and low res content smoothing/upscaling. I can't stand when I I have a TV that looks amazing in 4K but then looks like trash when watching blurays or regular network television. 1080p or less content will never look as good as 4k obviously but there's clearly some companies that do low res or SDR much better than others. I've heard the S95D handles low res and SDR content better than previous Samsung models but haven't had a chance to check that one out yet.
I feel you but this is where something like the nvidia shield pro comes into play. No need to sacrifice image quality for upscaling. If that isn’t an option for you, S90D/S95D have the same upscaling capability and it’s about on par with LGs of today. Not quite as good at smoothing though
I was thinking of getting a Hisense u8n 100 inch really just for the size but after coming across your channel I’m leaning towards the s90d 83inch but the price for the 77inch seems to good to pass on. Please help with this dilemma lol
Costco has the Samsung 85 inch QN85 on sale for $1800. Would this be a better buy than the TCL QM8 that is $2000 for the 85 inch? Also, is there a calibration for the Samsung QN85?
Asking the question to Q and the community im going to buy my first qd oled in the coming weeks. For the same price i can get a 65" S90D or a S95C . Which one is better for my money

I’ve got LG C1 and I don’t see any reason to change it. I’m still waiting for a new technology from LG.
It's sounding like, at least for the near future, TV tech has peaked and most of the industry is pivoting to bigger rather than better
Same here, it's a Great TV. People upgrading TVs are just like people upgrading iPhones. Wasting money for minimum improvements
