Thank you for getting straight to the point without bullshit talking or gay music

No problem at all. BTW, easier method would be to put the car into sport plus, then move the shifter to the left into sport shift then you're ready to brake and hit gas for the launch sequence

Once again, it sounds nice !
It is rare that an F30 335i sounds nice from the cabin (on youtube at least :) )!

Thank you! In this vid I had just a muffler delete with a Y pipe welded on with bigger 4'' tips. All windows and sunroof closed.

Hey man, I own a 2013 335i xDrive. Does the launch control work with xDrive too? I tried this exact thing last night and when i tried to rev it to 2-3k the brakes started screeching cause the car was trying to go. Any suggestions? BTW it is an M sport car has all the options but even at the deal they never mentioned launch control. I've seen 2013 328i's with launch but they were RWD.

R R Yea I would definitely think it has that feature, seems weird to not include just because x drive. But honestly I don't know for sure I've never attempted in an x drive myself. I would think it would be even better feature for xdrive

OMG - That wheelspin is extreme! I really wish I could launch this car at a stoplight, but unfortunately, it spins way too much. I drove a 2014 335i RWD recently, and when I tried to brake torque it in Sport+, I too got a lot of wheelspin. Is there any way to avoid wheelspin and launch cleanly?
Nice car btw. It sounds much better than any other F30 3-Series!

Empire State This was done in a parking lot with slick asphalt so I couldn't hook up at all off the launch. And I had worn tires as well. With new shocks and tires, on good pavement, I get just a bit of wheelspin and it hooks excellently. Btw, found out after this video an easier way to put it in launch mode. Just stick her in sport + and put the shifter to the side so it's in sport too, then just brake and gas all the way down and ready to go!

Empire State Also, I recommend the launch mode vs the brake torque to get off the line best. Like you said it's too easy to spin if you try and brake. The launch active sequence seems to do a good job of managing spin, and I personally believe it shifts even harder than sport when you activate the launch. It's the only time it chirps the tires 1st to 2nd with good traction.

Oh - I didn't know that! Luckily the 335i owner is one of my close friends, so I can drive it again later this weekend. I launched it in automatic mode: I simply changed it to Sport+ but kept the gear lever in D instead of S. I stamped the brake, then the accelerator, then released the brake, but I left a 100 foot long tiremark on the road. How exactly do you put it into launch mode? I looked all over the internet for videos but can't seem to find many launch control videos. Since a used 335i F30 may be my next car, I definitely want to make sure I can launch it well!
Also, is your car sDrive or xDrive? I drove the sDrive, so maybe that accounted for the wheelspin. I got the revs up to 3k rpm before letting go of the brake.
      Thanks for replying!

Empire State rear wheel drive on my car. Launch mode is simple, sport +, shifter in sport, brake all the way down and gas all the way and it should pop up in the lower right corner of your dash saying launch active.

    Why is cruise control on

Probably was using cruise control not long before that, but not sure that vid is a few years old! Check it my newest vid of the car launching in its current form with pure stage 2 turbo

hi. if my f15 does not have sport plus mode will the launch control work on simple sport mode?

    • @ashtonreich1154
      @ashtonreich1154  3 месяца назад

@kul1ock honesty, I'm not 100% sure with that f15. I'd just try to put into sports mode, then bump your shifter over to the left into sport shift after putting into drive, and firmly press brake, then push all the way down on gas and see if anywhere in your heads up display or dash you see the checkered flag come up showing a launch mode actually engaged. If it doesn't work try the same thing with traction control completely off. You do that by holding the traction button for 5 seconds

Oh yea pretty slow as a completely stock car and spinning with those horrible tires. Check out a vid I just uploaded, quite far from stock now I think you'll see a bit of a difference!
