Phenixtri i dont think finding a mag is the problem. The problem is making a diagonal mag well. He used a Sten gun to make this, so he would have to completely rework it and design then build a new magwell for it. It's easier to just use the well that is already part of the gun

I had always thought that a side-mounted gas mag wouldn't work, but just recently a company, Northeast Airsoft, revealed their STEN GBB. Do you think an MP18 would be viable if a STEN is?
There is no point making it gas powered. The mag will feed without the gas just fine. I just have to figure out how I can get a pistol mag to feed an SMG :D
Oh no, I mean to build an entire gas powered SMG. Mechanically it would be simple, just an open bolt SMG. But fabricating the parts would quite the challenge.
You could make „hook-like“ charging handle a weld or glue it onto the sten charging handle to make it look more like an mp18. For the mags it might be unpractictal, but you could make a drum out of steel and weld it onto the end at a slight forward angle, but thats probably too cumbersome for airsoft.
So cool! If someone thinks "It's a mp28" they can try to make one. Just thinking can you fit a P90 hop up to an ver. 7 gearbox? Even by changing the nozzle of course. Can I use a P90 nozzle on a ver.7 gearbox? Btw I'm a friend of your friends in pirkanmaasoft :D

also, the boxmags for the mp18-28's was only pattented since 1931 (weaponsman.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Schmeisser-US1833862-2.png) there were plans for WW1 but it wasn't implemented in time for use in WW1. all the ones with boxmags are post war rifles.
I can not ... I mean bergmann in the m18 version has a large, 32-cylinder snail magazine ... and in the mp28 version it has a smaller magazine such as on the recording ... so this is not mp18

headslash55 Luger magazines worked in the MP18, so there were rare situations when the Luger box magazine would’ve been used for whatever reason

A tilted mag to a straight magwell is pretty much impossible. The only way would be to make the magazine undetachable.

It was done to get rid of the luger snail mags and to go to simpler box mags.
