- NOT the Coron Philippines You've Seen Before 🇵🇭
Coron, Philippines is one of the most popular Filipino destinations in the Philippines, so we decided to get away from the crowds. The Philippines has a lot to offer outside the main touristy spots in the Filipino islands. In this video I'm joined by @KenAbroad as we explore the less traveled areas of Coron, Philippines!

You need to try adobong pusit. The chicken adobo you had here is adobong manok sa patis. They leave out the soy sauce and use a bit of fish sauce instead. That's my favorite version. 21:31
I was curious on your opinion on a budget-friendly island with a nice Beach near Calamba? My next time going there I would like to go to a nice Beach but not so touristy like Boracay. Thanks brother for all your videos
I bought you a few coffees
... love the channel ! A lot more fun than my channel 🤠🇺🇸🫡
@@FlipandTheBlueMule oh that's awesome!! Thank you so much for this, I really appreciate it! Thank you for watching also and good luck to you and your channel!
Great video, great day! Always worth it to explore off the beaten paths!
Always! I'm looking forward to watching your version of this day!
Wow, what a beautiful view! I think Palawan is the most gorgeous place….Thanks for sharing your experience with us…
Palawan has incredible scenery! Thank you for watching!!
Another great video Johathon, best vlogger in the Philippines by a mile..👌
wow thank you for saying that!!
Again and Again The Philippines wins Four Major Awards in World Travel Awards!!World's Leading City Destination which is Manila, World's Leading Beach Destination, World's Leading Diving Destination and Global Tourism Resilience Award 2023.❤️🇵🇭
That’s awesome! Did they specify the best diving locations and specific beaches?
@@travelescapesOFFICIALtry Tubbataha reef. It is kinda expensive. Not every one can go. But it is a world best. You can research more about. It is one of world's UNESCO heritage sites.
It was an online voting.
@@Spy-hp8ki Not everybody can vote, only those who were invited to vote. Of course, those who were invited are travel professionals or in the travel industry.

Sa wakas!! A vlog with Ken Abroad!!! 💛 Im happy to see my favorite vloggers in one frame!!! Hahaha! Ken is very very kind and easily to connect with the locals like you!
This video was really satisfying. I dont know if it was intended, but it was structured in 3 act structure, with a lowest point before a climax and everything too. I never see that in most vlogs, and when i do see it, its usually obviously forced. But here it feels natural.
I say this because it made the ending really satisfying. This is probably my favorite video of yours.
Oh thank you so much for saying that! I really appreciate when someone recognizes the effort I put into this. And for the climax and resolution, it actually was discussed in the moment of that day, hahha... as it was raining at the gas station we decided to go back because we thought we'd miss the sunset and it didn't seem worth it to keep going... then I said that this would be a horrible ending to the video 😂 just giving up and going home... so we decided to wait longer for the rain to stop and found a beach closer to us to have an appropriate ending for the video.. haha... A lot of thought goes into these! Thank you for watching and recognizing that!
That beach is totally awesome, no crowds just perfect!
Yep! That’s the best part!! 😂
wow you collab with ken abroad. Its good to see you both. Enjoy
Wow kuya Jonathan I'm happy to see together kuya KEN of Ken abroad enjoy to travel together 💖❤️❤️

You are definitely living the dream. Looking forward to watching the latest video.
Thanks for watching Jason! I always appreciate the view and the comment!
Hi! The lagoon is where the fresh water from Busuanga river and the salt water from the sea/ocean meet. The river is safe to explore, no crocodiles. Also there is another bigger town called Salvacion, where the municipal building is located and there are also hotels and restaurants in the town. Very safe place.
Great Video, this is one of my favorites. I moved here to Palawan last month and a huge reason was your bucana beach video. I was going to go to Siargao on vacation, but at the last minute changed to Palawan after watching your video. I went to Bucana a few weeks after you did, I went through Puerto Princesa and decided to make this my home base.
We all know Ken…Hi Ken 👋. Nice watching you guys together.
Hi 🙏
nice collab with Ken 😁
Glad you enjoyed it!

I can just imagine the sounds of nature there at night and the lights from the fireflies in the mangrove areas. 10:00 Can you? The young kids really speak good English. I like that and they don't shy away from foreigners.
Jonathan my friend we love Busuanga- me and my family was in Coron for 12 days last week and it’s awesome 👏… Busuanga Safari is fantastic too!… hi guys….
Yeah?! What animals did you see on the safari? I didn't know about this

The little boy at the store seems bright. I hope he gets a good education where he is now.
Cool video, off the beaten path! You were speaking partially Bisayan and Tagalog mix it was cool! The people are super friendly Love it! Have fun guys! HAPPY HOLIDAYS! I’ll be there in 2 weeks in CDO for Christmas with my wife’s family there!
When they say native chicken it refers to the chcken being of the native variety which is smaller less meaty, tastier than the foreign variety.
Woah ken is back...
My kind of vacation.. great beach with as less people as possible.. relaxation defined.
Wow, Jonathan you are friend with Ken? Ken will stay permanently in the Philippines.

Hi Jonathan, nice video, nice scenic ride & the view on the beach is awesome. I love it. The language there is Tagalog & yet you keep on talking in Bisaya. Ayo-ayo, amping 💕
Thank you for watching! Yes, my problem is half the time I don't know if the word I know is Bisaya or Tagalog because in Bohol everyone can understand both.. so they always understand what I say in Bohol.. then when I leave the Visayas I'll say the same thing and they don't understand
I love it when you always say "palihog" or please. That's being very respectful. Daghang salamat/thank you very much for doing that. Kalbo is Tagalog for bald while in Bisaya it's opaw ❤️
I'd wake up 5 30 am in the morning having a scorching hot coffee beside the cold breeze and slapping sound of ocean wave
sounds perfect! I'd love to live out there in that spot!
The adobo chicken looks so good, it made me hungry🙂 Thank you again for sharing your Travel video.
It was delicious! Someone else just recommended adding pineapple to Adobo, which I've never heard of but sounds amazing to me! 😂 I want to try it... Thank you for watching!
Adobo is one of my favorite Filipino food dish, and yes, some people cook the adobo by adding pineapples, but i prefer without pineapples. But, you should try it with pineapples, you might like it?🙂 @@travelescapesOFFICIAL

60$ is expensive for a boodle fight... we usually pay aroud 100-200 pesos or (2$-4$) for a home or with friends boodle fight
It is great to see you with ken.enjoy and take care Jonathan❤🇵🇭
I was researching about natural disasters in the Philippines, Palawan seems the place with less worrying one to live in the Philippines.
the east gets hit with the storms first... Palawan is west and is one of the last ones to get hit with the typhoons, and by then the land has broken them up a bit

Maning may balat (peanut with skin), maning kalbo (peanut without skin)
Bald peanut is the term?!? How appropriate for me also being Kalbo! 😂

The first record of the well-loved Filipino dish was in 1613 by Pedro de San Buenaventura, who was compiling a dictionary. In it, he listed the dish as “adobo de los naturales” because of its similarity to certain Spanish and Mexican dishes.May 1, 2023
Oh your with Ken ,I thought he is still in Manila.
FYI
Boodle is a military (academy) jargon (coined by cadets) w/c meant (food) bounty. Its a (chow hall) snack smuggled in the (barracks) locker and fought over (when the urge/craving erupts) … thus the ‘boodle fight’. US military advisers (w/ the Phil. troops out in field) saw the locals gathered around … chowing down on the grub (on banana leaves) devouring the bounty of eats with bare hands. One asked, “What’s going on?” The other replied, “Its a boodle fight!”
Keep up the good work bro!

Your videos are interesting. I love to see that the three of you enjoying here in the Philippines and eating Filipino food. 👏👏❤️Well done👏
That view was amazing.. wishing I was there..
Jonathan, the "native chicken adobo" does not refer to wether the chicken is bone-in or boneless but it refers to the kind of chicken that is free range ,very healthy and good tasting usually survived on their own. It's not the chicken raised commercially and raised with rapid -growing feeds and harvested at a certain age.
Heyyy thank you for the clarification! No one else explained that even though I asked 😂
I love the drone shots.
Bro waiting for the next vid
Had to fly home to the US abruptly for a family matter. Trying to find time to edit footage from the last trip I took in the Philippines. Hopefully soon!

Hello Richard! Great to see you back here again!
Ken really knows the area.
That was his first day on the island! 😂 he just used google maps to go towards a beach and we stopped along the way any time we saw something that looked interesting
How did you know?😮
A good adobo normally have an intense & BALANCED flavor that’s why it’s eaten with rice. It has simple ingredients but the key to a good adobo is the technique in cooking it.
Beautiful beach Jon ⛱️ ❤. Stay safe and God bless you always 🙏 🍀🎅🎄🤞🤗
I was wondering about the other side of Coron and you showed what it looks like. Thanks.
You can mix chicken and pork as adobo. Different Provinces different menus for adobo.
Hahahah not you making the ladies feel bad for not wanting a picture 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 that was too funny
😂 it was just a funny situation all three of us sitting at the table, she walks up to Ken and asks for a picture, then they all walk off for a photoshoot hahah... Steven and I were quite confused with what just happened haha

Adobar is the Spanish word for marinade.
Yeahh that makes sense!
The lady is so nice, typical Filipina, very hospitable. ❤
It is super cliche but the secret beach in the end is postcard perfect. Very nice indeed. Love the Philippines.

If I were to do a channel it would be about the least touristy areas of Phillipines and Thailand
For both of those countries, Tourism is confined to a few very specific areas, but there is so much to explore outside of those areas!

You are right sir, before spanish came we have the dish with vinegar and salt only, when the spaniards came they introduced soy sauce, adobo is form the spanish word adobar meaning marinate and we adapted the word and became adobo
soy sauce is from the Chinese
