Very good story, suprise ending of coures. loved listening to the old commercal spots, they are classic. I liked the ones refernceing the energy crises at the time.
I hate those commercial spots.. just as annoying as today's commercials. At least thanks to RUclips I can skip them :P
There's an episode of Alfred Hitchcock with Gloria Swanson that is the same exact story..one of the best episodes of Hitchcock thanks for posting..
Chill, dark nights...the time for ghost stories and fantasy! Perhaps two radio play ghost stories I’ve produced AND a brand new mystery listed on my channel “Claude Chabot Presents” right here on YT AND a radio fantasy comedy, “A Trip to the Moon” starring Joyce Randolph of The Honeymooners, which features Larry Robinson, who, as a child actor, actually worked with Orson Welles. Here’s the link: ruclips.net/video/Hex2ltykNTM/видео.html--Claud. If you don’t want to click the link just search “Claude Chabot presents” on RUclips.
That first Diet 7Up commercial is pretty awesome 😂
"Happy Birthday in case I forget... You're a stupid boy, you know that?" That dude made me chuckle.
Another good line: "I guess you don't have experience writing suicide notes."
What a tale..!
I remember this with Gloria Swanson and a very young William Shatner as Davy
yes Gloria Swanson the locked room with Helen Hayes son!!
+Martha Smets TV version of the locked room Alfred Hitchcock

Now the still pic makes sence
the good old days, when "they're computerized" was considered *special* and illicited "ohs" and "ahs" from onlookers (or "onlisteners" in this case.). ^^;
The girl did the voice of Trixie on Speed Racer, and I think the guy playing her boyfriend did the voice of Speed Racer's mechanic Sparky.

Davey lied about his age. Yeah, big deal! You go down to the DMV, you tell me there ain't a hell of a lot of people (especially women, even these days) SWEATING BULLETS when that person behind the counter asks, "Date of birth?"
