That's a new style of yours Uncle Chesterton....having a play where you have to guess what the ending is....you old smarty-pants .....how innovative of you.

    Thank you Chesterton
    Here's a short synopsis
"Based on the light comedy by James Bridie from a play by Bruno Frank
A widow has been fined for non-payment of her dog licence, and her dog, Patsy, has been confiscated. This starts a storm of trouble in the little Scottish town of Baikie. "
    Cheers from Canada North

Super play. Very well acted by everyone. The missing conversation over the cup of tea would have made a more satisfactory ending.

This was a great play. Reminded me of Ibsen's plays, which flew in the face of the convention of his time. My favourite character was Mrs. Flanagan. How the actress was able to spew out all that dialogue without taking a breath, I'll never know. She deserves an Oscar or its radio equivalent. Thanks for posting this.

According to Genome, this Gordon Gildard adaptation / production is from 1939 ! Features Halbert Tatlock playing Willie Thomson, the Lord Provost...and a really enjoyable little romp in the style of Whiskey Galore....

The ending is missing. Any possibility of your providing it? Or was this the way it was broadcast? :) I think I can see where it was heading, but it would be nice to actually hear the end of it.

Lots of comments about the ending being missing.
The play is well over at the point that the 'ending' goes missing. There is probably about one sentence missing, but it has no consequence at that point. Everything has been already wrapped up by then.

I was glued to this lovely story. Then there was no ending. I replayed twice.. disappointed. If you can’t do a complete story I won’t need to return.
