@@oldtimersniper560 I didn’t have an issue. But people who want to play live service games will have an issue. Any game that doesn’t need an internet connection can be played offline. When internet goes out just sure your Xbox is offline and no issue. 90% of my game collection is digital and never had an issue. The games are way cheaper online when they go on sale. I currently have 131 games on my Xbox series X.
It's not telling you that it needs to verify the owner of that game because your internet is off order servers are down it's telling you that because you're sharing the profile with someone else so you must have someone else's Xbox as your home Xbox
Is your Xbox series x set as your home device. That would get around the internet requirement. For the PC app there is a setting that allows for users to not require a login to the Xbox servers for 15 days. Basically allowing you to play Xbox games without verification for 15 days

At first, I tried it about a year ago and it it didn’t feel very smooth, but I’ve been playing on cloud gaming for the past two weeks and I’ve been playing gears five multiplayer without lag. It’s awesome.

My Xbox Series X|S is set as my Hime Console. So, I didn't have any of these problems.
It would make a lot of sense if people specified the fact that it's user error as to why you can't play your games when Xbox Live is down, and not Xbox.
Your "Home Console" is for playing offline. If you are playing your games on a console that isn't your home console, that is an online feature. So, of *COURSE* you won$/ be able to do so.

You can set your xbox or pc to allow offline play by making it your home console in the settings. Not difficult.
You had to set your console to offline in network settings to play your digital games.
Can't say I'll be sad to see cloud gaming going away. Digital games will never be better then a physical imo I've never had any problems like you described with the downed network. That also why I hate always online games

Ray, these layoff numbers are astronomical! I am inclined to ask, are they "REALLY BEING LAID OFF" or is the department being shutdown and the employees are being RE-ASSIGNED! These numbers would greatly affect the overall Unemployment numbers and I doubt the Government would not have stepped in and press Microsoft, being the huge corporation that they are! In any case my heart goes to those that are actually being laid off this day and age!
I couldn't access fallout 4 yesterday because of mods, which is also stupid. All these companies are taking a page out of Apples book and they want you to sign up for endless monthly subscriptions so you never own anything. And even if you do own it, there's some loophole to make it a negative experience to make you think well maybe I should just pay the monthly fee, It's not that much. I'll quit gaming before I pay a monthly fee to rent lame old games, & a small handful of cool games. As any homeowner will tell you renting is such a waste of money compared to owning your home. I'm 50 and I don't understand this obsession with non-ownership. You rent your house, you rent your car, you rent your games, you rent your music, you rent your TV entertainment, you essentially rent your phone because you no longer have the right to fix anything you own. I know I'm at minority in this, but f... cloud gaming, f... game pass, f... Netflix, f... Apple, and f... Microsoft, for not letting me play a game that I've bought now three times. I secretly wish something catastrophic would happen to the Internet as wonderful as it is. Currently there is no litigation of such Laws. So, do your part and Write and Call your State's Senators and Representatives, repeatedly even to the point that it could be considered Harassment.

I have no issues with cloud gaming. It’s great. My only problem is not enough games. Most of the game are old games that I’m not interested in.

@@mstree9985 its called Options theres room for both but to completely force everything Digital is not good for gamers or games what happens when a game you really what to get is delisted it is now gone now way of getting that game Again. Forza Horizon 4 is a good example of that its being delisted soon good thing for that game there is Physical copys of it. Not gonna be the case for a lot of games going forward. Look what happen when the xbox network went down last week you were unable to play digital download games because it could no Verify it was the right account playing that game. Theres a lot of reasons going all digital is really bad for games going forward. You may be unaffected atm but there will be a day when you wish game consoles had discs an more then one way to get them games relying on there Servers to always be up an never hacked is just Delusional thinking.

We need compensation for that outage. I didn’t have access to anything for like 8 hours! Completely unacceptable that game licenses aren’t locally stored.
This is just one part of this huge problem.. Having a solid disk is better in my opinion, being able to play any game off-line is much better (!), playing on any system that can read the disk, should be the primary need from all gamers IMO 😁👍

Same Xbox servers were down yesterday which sucks it lasted 6 hrs until i finally was able to log in. i also tried to play on pc Xbox games and still crashed due to Xbox servers down 😐
What about physical games can you play those ??? That’s why I always buy physical for my big games that I want to play a lot !!!
For the casual gamer I can see how this might not matter. But for players who play competitively 8 more frames can make a huge difference especially in high level competitive games where fast paced gameplay can make the difference between which player comes out victorious.

I have a 1Gbps internet its blazing fast, then I play Xbox clouding and the picture breaks up in dark games , cloud is useless crap.
Same issue my wife's Series S is my home console in order to play my games and verse versa , shes learnt when playing on mine to log me in first then switch.
My Nintendo switch still works even with out wifi and it's play's physical with no patch needed day 1 for Paper Mario , if the switch 2 does this no more other consoles for me.

I'm going to keep it real with everyone commenting on this video the only reason I still deal with consoles is because I'm poor if I could I'd go PC all the way it's the only true way to game however like I said I'm poor so I'm going to go with a console but only a console that is made by a company that purposely takes a loss on their consoles to save people money the processor in the series x is worth more than the price of the whole console think about that folks

Use Klarna or Affirm and pay off one thats recent pre build then in 5 years save up for the cpu and gpu upgrades youd like. if your paying a service fee to game online on consoel you can afford a pc thats around 800 that will burn those consoles into dust. DDOS attacks still happen though even on pc games.

I got a 3k setup, built it 5yo ago and still rolling wonderful but definitely not for gaming, I find much more enjoyment sitting on my couch and having a system dedicated TO gaming no multitasking.
U can build a PC that can run games better than these consoles now for around the same price. U just need to educate yourself and u will have to put it together yourself.
The home Xbox trick didn't work for me the other day when we had the Xbox network outage I couldn't even play a single player game I bought digitally for an example Fallout 4 it asked me to sign in and that was all my Xbox marked as home Xbox so that does not work
Actually you should be able to play them on the original machine you downloaded them on. Thats been around since the 360 when you purchase games and have a home console or multple consoles sharing games the home console is the parent and you would or used to have to move the license over. For instance since its two different systems both my xboxs games downloaded work currently as they are the place i purchase and downloaded them to and i can play them offline. Switch your console to home or the license to your main xbox if you have multiple games should work.
With cloud gaming I can’t even get through the into of any game without it bugging like crazy.
Since we have a steam deck anyways now a console version that can play xbox games and ps5 games would be awesome

The reason why can be traced back to when a group of teen kids known as Xbox underground got a hold of a Xbox one while it was still being developed and having a little bit of coding background they began using their unauthorized access to the breach the computer network of Microsoft and its development partners, including Activision, Epic Games, and Valve, in order to obtain sensitive information relating to Xbox One and Xbox Live. Basically allowing them to not just know about games that in the works but more importantly grant them exclusive access to future games files that at the time could be played offline before this was even an issue. But they messed up because one of them began making copies in an attempt to sale them and gain profit. But of course word got out pretty quick and got caught. There’s a whole RUclips video on them it’s pretty crazy and sad how the whole thing ends up playing out.

You couldnt even play all versions of Minecraft, I was play Minecraft Java and had to relaunch. I couldn't even play because it couldnt sign into my Microsoft Account, so I think it was the whole Microsoft account stuff was down. I even tried windows bedrock edition, it loaded up fine, but couldn't sign in to play online.
I only use Xbox Cloud Gaming when I play Fortnite.
I do own and play games native on my s. Thing is I can at least stream certain games on Game Pass so I do not have to dedicate hard drive space to it. 360GB does not get anybody very far.
I've been saying digital ownership is bad since it started glad I had my emulators on my Xbox

@@majorasspain5341 Yes and No!, it's called that if I pay any money for any software, whether servers go down, i cant afford internet this month and systems become obsolete, I still own what I paid for and should be able to play it however and whenever I want. Otherwise just charge me a rental fee and tell me I'm just renting the software (ie gamepass) and I'll be content. Then I don't shell out 70 to 100 bucks on something I don't own physically and can't play after 5 yrs or so,. Then in another topic try to slap me with pirating (another subject) for trying to get back something I paid for but was never physical media!

If you guys haven’t figured it out yet let allow me to enlighten you. The reason Xbox servers keep crashing is because Xbox secretly updated your edge browser app which can’t be uninstalled btw, to be updated to having AI copilot installed. And you if you dont know Microsoft prohibits their own employees from using Microsofts AI Copilot and it’s because of huge privacy risk it poses. But the real reason they I suspect they are crashing is because Ai uses a lot ad I mean A Lot of processing power and bandwidth so what I’m assuming is happening is that the majority of Xbox user have allow apps and games to automatically update in the background which edge app that know has ai is drawing all this power and background processing to update its content to and thus also putting a strain on the amount of bandwidth the console is now consuming now one console my not be a problem but imagine how many console are now doing this while connected to the Xbox network especially if people use instant on instead of energy savings mode.

I got every xbox and ps except a ps1. Just remember the cheap made xbox 360, which i have 4 of them still. All with the RRoD. Xbox one sux ass. Last good system they made was the OG xbox, clock caps removed. I got 3 of them and they still work. Maybe because of the custom FW I have flashed, they lasted this long, not sure. Not expecting to much out of the series x i have either. Hoping it just lasts this time.
Only thing i had to fix with all my PS consoles was a lazer on the ps 1, 1 time. I gave that system to a friend

Both Xbox and PS let you designate one console as the primary console and play offline. If not using that specific console, you must be online. At least Xbox lets me copy the games between my consoles via external drives. PS forces me to download games for each individually.

Ray you're experiencing an issue I've had with Xbox, Home Xbox, and Xbox digital library since the Xbox One and I've been waiting for them to resolve this is as long as I've been wait for Xbox to be able to save multiple Wi-Fi networks smh the Home Xbox is an ok idea but it's useless for ppl that have multiple Xboxs in the home being able to only have 1 Home Xbox is insufficient especially when Xbox is having issues on their end as you can see and it's not the first time Xbox has been down but this problem still exist decades later smh what's the point of pushing digital games if they haven't resolved this issue that takes away access to our digital library it's ridiculous Microsoft/Xbox or who ever is atvthe wheel these days need to figure this out either they need to increase the number of Home Xboxes you can have or they need to give us that family plan they were testing or they need to ease up on the DRM or they need to stop pushing the all digital bs or they need to do all of the above but they need to do something this as been an issue for to long for "The world's most powerful console." Oh and the gpu thing happens all the time in pc games. Where some companies support say amd more than invidia or intell or are cpu bound and gpu doesnt even matter. Since the consoles are more like pcs now even with their similar tech, again this is bout to happen and shouldnt really be a tlking point when the margin of speed or frames is less than 2-5% even a 10% difference isnt enough to say one way or the other if in reality doesnt translate to the average person even noticing.

I’m genuinly tempted to swap my Xbox for the PlayStation with the current insane amount of bugs and issues the new Xbox’s have it’s INSANE. We had to repay our internet and it went out for like 5 minutes I had to restart my Xbox over 7 times, re do all my internet setting and Xbox live setting and reset the router multiple times for hourssss u til it finally worked, my partner with the white Xbox one connected with in minutes and our phones connected pretty well

I brought bf1 in like 2017/18 soon after whenever it came out and space engineers in 2020 and I couldn’t play them without game pass (correction my main recent saves I couldn’t play but I could make a new world to play in but I didn’t want to) but I could play destiny 2 and Warthunder pvp fineeeee with out it soo why tf is recent saves in a game I brought in 2020 and another in 2018 not playable but online pvp games were like tf
That’s true about Xbox’s VRR I played Star Wars Jedi Survivor on both Xbox Series X and PS5 and Xbox’s VRR is way better, PS5 was screen tearing and lagging like a mf but on Xbox series X I never noticed any screen tearing or lagging. Not picking sides just saying ny experience.

I think that these employees are being reassigned. Xbox's main focus is to release high quality 1st party games. They need the teams to do it because the life of the ecosystem lies in the balance.
They did say that they wanted to give these developers the time they needed to push out a quality game however, timeliness don't really satisfy the public.
So how do we achieve effectively go back to a 1-2 year turnaround and have they maintain the quality that the audience demands? Bigger teams with the talent to match.
Also, the outage is another reason why hard disk won't go away. Whether is be the servers down or a power outage in the area that many mid-east and southwest states suffered from with the crazy weather the U.S. had this year.

Tell your buddy Jimmy to put down his Steam Deck for 5 minutes and hop in Halo Infinite streamed on a ROG Ally or Logitech G Cloud and compare the quality. The deck is awesome but for Game Pass games, I stream instead. Better quality visuals, despite some compression artifacting, no dealing with storage space and MUCH better battery life.
Why couldn't you just stream from the Steam Deck. You do know XBOX Cloud works on the Steam Deck too right?
