Love that moment at 2:32 when Pascal almost goes to the ride but manages to get back to the hats !
Yeah that was a good save! I was grooving too much to even notice 😂
Ooops.. could ruin the whole cover..
Almost 😁👍
Yep!Saved it and didn't miss a beat!
I like the fact that they left it and didn't do a retake. Just shows even drummers as talented as he is can still go oops sometimes.
Man juked us all out of that ride @2:32 lol
Be interesting to know pascal’s thoughts on playing these songs
no thoughts, concentration
Damn! Spot on man. Sounds incredible. Sounds just like Bonhams kit too. Love those cymbals.
That Paiste big beat ride is the best sounding cymbal ever.
It’s the standard 24” 2002 used here
@@Matibeos You're right. They both sound incredible.
We feel Bonham while watching this. Nice to see such a high quality cover
I like how Pascale hangs his arm in the air just a bit to catch the crashes at the right time.
Just keep the Bonham coming guys!
Solid timing coming out of Plant's vocal lines
Pascal is such an amazing talented drummer. An absolute pleasure to watch. Wishing you guys all an awesome week. Keep up the great videos.🌹
2:32 good save!!!
Just Amazing. Great performance.
That was a brilliant cover. Very well executed
I'm really impressed with how nice the tom sound is considering no close mics. Great cover all the way around.
Honestly, this has to be one of more awkward-to-drum-to songs out there. I’d like to know the process of creating this drum groove in Bonham’s head and what made him want to play it this way.
Such a freakin weird ass timing.
Ik my first time playing this song made me so confused like the timing is weird
Dazed too... Sorry 😎
Jack Daniel's
the explanation is simple: while most drummers or maybe in majority listens to the bass John Bonham doesn't but rather He listens and go with the flow with the guitar for example the drums and guitar in immigrant song are pretty much the same.
@@mooncarvlog Yep! Good point.
That was incredible!
Great job!! 👍
Those 2002s are 🔥 awesome cover
Once again, you guys killed it.
Great drumming skills, that are captured with really good sounding drums in a very professional way, to me.
Recording + mixing hits the nail on the head.
kinda cozy lookin stage. I can literally smell the smoke and feel into these old days i‘ve never ever witnessed.
This is quality content! Really appreciate it.
You really captured the entire mood and feel of this song. The sound, drums, shirt, hat etc really tasteful and great playing. I really like that you posted only the drums. All around great job!
You rock guys!!
I'm loving these covers from LZ!! So damn accurate and the sound is amazing!! Wish I had that drumset🤟🏻🔥
Great Performance!!! BRAVO
Just terrific drumming! 🤩 never noticed before that 16th kick pattern "Good times bad times" type at the riffing just after every verse!
Thank you very much!
Glad you guys did this song. There are so many great Bonham choices, but this is the song that made me want to pay drums. Excellent work as always!
The mix is absolutely WILD, matched so well
Amazing Sound and cover!
Congrats,. new drummer generation!!! Rock-'n'-roll will never die....👏👏👏🎵💯
Excellent job! Love those triplets on the big bass drum! Bonzo always added a little something to the groove!
Diggin that kick drum, great vid!!!
Outstanding.
Great performance and kit! I saw Zeppelin perform this in 1977, the most amazing live performance band ever.
Freaking awesome!
Excellent !!!
Superrrr!!!!!!
Very well done! Great job ! Interesting video, too :)
Great job young man ! Bass Drum Triplets, Toms Tuned and Snare Drum all sound great. Next up - Rock & Roll, ending solo always gave me fits 😎
Awesome!!!
Great cover! This is a great song! Rock on. 🙂🥁🥁🤘🤘
Perfect.
By the way excellent recording and mixing open air quality which mimics the 70 s sound.... Bravo
Way to go Pascal, excellent.
Probably the best Bonzo-Cover on RUclips!!!
Outstanding young man!!!
Man those cymbals are nice to look at
Nice!!!!
Great job!!!
Absolutely magnificent. John Bonham at his best.
Wow!
Lovely
Hammer! Perfektes Timing! Perfekter Drum- und Becksound! Perfekter Hut! ...Alder, das Ride!
very nice job dude congratulations!!!
love the bonzo hat
HELL YES, I WANT THAT BASS DRUM
Crushed it.
amazingf.
Muito bom !
Very nice
Dude u r awesome I love Zeppelin John Bonham best drummer ever
Good work! Please do Good Times Bad Times!
Man, I'd love one of these huge Ludwig sets....
Listen to the drum solo at the beginning of heartbreaker live. That’s the feel that can’t be duplicated
When I started seriously playing the drums, I would sit for hours, drumming along to Led Zeppelin. Some musicians have some sort of secret ingredients. They can just listen to a piece of music and automatically know how the drums should go. Of course, the hat made a difference😂
Black dog is my thing
This is REALLY freaking impressive. My only critique is he's hitting the cymbals too hard however I understanding the high energy that is in the moment of playing such an iconic song. Great job man!!
Excellent job! Really good work listening to Bonzo's little stick click cues. Your Ludwig kit and the PAiSTe pies sound quite nice, too!
Esto debería tener mas "Me gusta".
Suggestion: maybe you could do the Pearl Jam sound specifically the drum sound on ten
Can’t wait for Scott Rockenfield’s drum sound next please!
Nice lot is that Classic Maple out Legacy kit?
I’m old now, but this song has always been strange to me, the guitar is going all over the place while the kick and snare seem to fall in all places but make sense
Also nice hat
Ohhh cool micing
Ludwig Zep👍🔥
When that Aston Barrett one coming?
What I wouldn't give for a foot cam to see what's going on down yonder. 🤘😵🥃
pls do bob bryar! MCR songs
Where's the one!?
I could be too dumb for it, but I cant find the right timing to start the fill after the singing, when the guitar starts too.
Any advices?
Awesome cover by the way!!
No, some of them are slightly out of time. I don't know for sure, but I've always suspected it was the result of editing together multiple takes on analog tape. I think they may have realigned them to be in time here. AoD, can you confirm?
@@terrydrums I didn't change the playback's timing but built myself a little click as a count in before each part starts.
@@pascal_thielen Ah, good thinking.
@@pascal_thielen hey! Which is the counting!? Does it change between the bars!? Greetings mate!
Nice how about All My Love by Led Zeppelin
Sounds just like bonzo. You know I could never figure this one out
Plss do nick mason😏👀
Also Great camera work, non obstrusive as we focus on the gestures of the drummer. How many camera, positions?? 4 or 5 if I recall.!!!
Thanks, yes we shot this video with 5 cams in total
@@ArtOfDrumming what cameras, resolution?
24fps? Thanks for any reply
Great video! But, at 1:31 that fill is wrong; I am unfortunately a bassist and not a drummer so can't say what's exactly wrong, but Pascal is playing the exact same phrase twice, while Bonham plays two slightly-different phrases, e.g., the second phrase doesn't have the flam/trill (I *think* that's the term?) but just straight eights, while Pascal's has it.
I did that on purpose. Bonham (I suspect) played it kind of sloppy and the last floor tom and kick accidentally aligned. I didn't bother and just played it the way I felt it, repeating the first half.
@@pascal_thielen Cool! I slightly like the asymmetric version more, possibly because the sloppiness is more organic, or just from listening to it so many times that the original is burned into my ears :D
@@pascal_thielen Awesome cover dude! I think one of the fills is 16th note triplets and another is 32nd notes but im not sure. maybe the first one is LRK and the second one is RLRK. Doesn't really matter, you still killed it!
@@pascal_thielen This is the way I play it as well, although with a little more space between each hit. There's a guy called George here on RUclips who plays it the proper way, and it's definitely with slightly less finesse. No disrespect to Bonham though, I've learnt everything from him.
The proper way is apparently snare>snare>rack tom>kick, snare>snare>floor tom>kick,
snare
....all the way down to the bowler hat.....
You would think he would be going off on drums since the guitar is jamming out, but I guess it's better to remain in background to focus on the guitar
you -you playing on factory skins ? It doesn’t sound big down to the mallet on the pedal ?
Look up bonham big drum sound
Carpenters and pornstars don’t Nail It this much.
#nailedit
Take ya hat off
At :45 Bonham hits the ride as a crash, not the crash. You are also rushing the beat a little.
I love Bonham but hate him when practicing this song because every snare roll intro has such weird timing😂
Bonzo vibes be like..
You are absolutely nailing the drum sounds but still off on the left crash being too high pitched. Replace that for a lower pitched cymbal and you will be golden.
He forgot the stick click before each verse.
That crash is too small hit 2 cymbals to get the big sound
This possibly might be the most easiest Led Zeppelin song for me on drums...
Heartbreaker, 1973 live at Madison square garden, remastered on RUclips. I don’t understand all the effort, expense, and time alotted to covering drum parts. Jason Bonham can’t do it. No one can. It’s just like guitar in that it is in the hands. Period.
That first for pattern is incorrect... Revisit the song and listen closely
Great apart from the stupid hat !
Drummers…most important member of the band and least appreciated by the audience.
Try to swing the groove a little more... Bonzo was a swing drummer.. Over all nice job.
