Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 and went on to become one of the most influential, innovative, and successful groups in modern music, having sold more than 300 million albums worldwide. The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Jimmy Page brought in John Bonham, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant to tour as The New Yardbirds. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released its self-titled debut which was produced by Page, as were all the subsequent albums. It marked the beginning of a 12-year reign, during which the group was widely considered to be the biggest and most innovative rock band in the world. Видеоклипы

This concert was back in 2007, Robert Plant is 59,Jimmy Page 63, John Paul Jones was 61. I am happy they got together and performed, they sounded awesome!
Impressive how Robert can still sing this way with his age.
He lost a lot of the higher part of his range but he will always have that fantastic rock vocalist distortion and tone he was genetically blessed to have been born with
@MaTtRoSiTy - I think Black Dog sounds better a step down. More room to play vocally as well since singing it this way isn't nearly as a demanding as the original key.
Er singt eben wie Legenden singen!!! Legends never Fall !!!
You do not understand Robert is the man Like chewbacca knows han
I just began to listen these older tapes, and I think they are all better now than ever. Even J. P. Jones is tops in his game
Nothing can buy John Paul Jones's smile. Priceless.

More mysterous than it seems at the first sight.

Not only did John Paul Jones write the riff to this song, he doubles it on the bass. Everyone's looking at Page, but Jones is just as impressive here.
Agree..awesome!
They were all on a par with one another regarding musical skill, talent and ability to be creative, no one bandmate was above the other, which I don't think you can say that about many other bands. While Jason does an adequate job , you can clearly hear the difference without John.Without JB its not Zepplin.
Jones see always impressive
Jason Bonham deserves accolades too. Cat never missed a kick
Look at the way Page is holding the pick and slopping around...I'd say JPJ is actually in better shape with his chops

I get your point that recognition was more inclined towards the other members, but at the end of the day he was in Lez Zeppelin the greatest rock band of all time.
@@berndjungmann5600 Yes Page has really lost it. I mean that bit he plays at 3.04, I can't believe how wrong it is.
Imagine playing with the legends your father played with. GREATEST. HONOR. EVER.
Good on you Jason!!!!
I know right, how cool is that.
Plant was his godfather
The difference here is that Jason's dad was a legend himself, and the other guys are like his uncles.
I wonder whether Jason ever gets fed up with hearing and reading patronising shit about how he must feel so honoured to play with the same band that his late father did?
I wonder if he just wishes that dickheads would stop comparing him to his dad.
This clip shows that Page and Plant are well past their sell by date and should have retired after live aid in '85 where they were utter shite.
I wonder whether deep down he just sees them as aging rock stars who although were good back in the day they were no pioneers of rock.
Somehow they are now held up as the greatest rock band in the history of music.
John Bonham - great drummer and very inspirational to many but actually there were better before him and better now - I think that Jason is a more creative percussionist...

Holy shit Plant sounds incredible
Always has.
This was autotuned. I remember early bootlegs of the O2 concert and he did not sound like this. In fact, the very night of the concert, this song was broadcast on BBC News. If you listen carefully to the official release that came out quite a few years later, you can hear the processing on his voice. Anyone who seriously believes he hit the high note in Whole Lotta Love is deluded.
