Does it actually have full time AWD? I thought LR2 is front wheel and LR4 is 4 wheel drive

It uses a Haldex system which is FWD based during normal driving conditions, however, when it detects slippage or when the modes are engaged (sand, mud&ruts, snow mode via interior controls.) it will distribute power accordingly. The FWD based system also saves in fuel consumption as well. The LR4 employs a full time system whereas the LR2 does not.

So r u saying don't get a LR2? Thats what im afraid of too. The differential issues.

@@andy8034 don't. Look up a RUclips video that says LR2 steering column locked error. Mine just got out of the shop for four weeks trying to hunt down a new rear differential a week later I get this message. I fixed it using the RUclips trick and I'm trying to get rid of it this week.

i have a 2010 with 937546 miles & still drive it regularly across texas to florida and back. Minor issues but i keep it maintained myself.
