@@piotrnapora5810 Interesting you probably have the LR2 with the turbocharged engine. The old 3.2l inline6 is from Volvo and is super reliable automatic transmission is a 6-speed Aisin which every Toyota owner can say is also super reliable. It's the electronics that can make you go bonkers.
@@chriskonte1909 Wrong. It's a 2014 Freelander 2 with the 2.2 td4 HSE Diesel engine. No car has the right to have a rear differential crap out under 100k kilometres
@@piotrnapora5810 Ah ok that's interesting. But then typical AWD and RWD car problems ^^ My friends Audi had it at 108.000km in his Q5 and another friend's dad in his Renault Koleos AWD.
I just bought an lr2 and I luv it! The previous owner took very good care of it! The reliability is the only thing but Soo far no problems!! Thanks for sharing
Yes, too far so good. it rides soo smooth. you have to watch your speed. I have to stay on top of the maintenance. I luv it! thanks too much for asking! I wish i would have gotten the navi system.
I have a 2012 LR2 HSE Lux with the 3.2 inline 6 made by Volvo. I love this lux SUV and actually use it for offroading. Very capable in mud, sand, snow and rain. Solid vehicle and sits tall. I installed a roof rack/thule as well running boards and a class 3 hitch. Crazy versatile. I can take execs to business meetings in style and load tons of gear for camping on the weekend. Back seats store flat for a huge cargo area, hitch hauler, bike rack or trailer can be used with the hitch and more storage in the Thule! Super reliable. I've owned Grand Cherockees in the past which are great but like this better. We have a 2016 Jeep Compass we also love too but it's a 4 cylinder and not as powerful. If you're a business person that loves the outdoors and you like a lux SUV with 6 or 8 cylinder power the LR2 is a winner!
I am seriously considering upgrading to one of these and prefer manual in white. Probably because I have an 05 TD4 manual in white now.. I am in contact with a dealer who will take the TD4 in part ex or full deposit for finance, if I go down that avenue.. ? The main problems I had with the TD4 are the space between the A frame causes me back pain trying to get into the drivers seat having to put my head right down with my chin on my chest just to negotiate past the roof, then once inside I can hold head up properly and I am only 5 10". There is no option to lower the seat I can find in the handbook or looking around the seat at the controls.. The other problem is the idiotic design of the battery terminal connection nut and bolt which attach and do up vertically. I have changed over the negative terminal to a horizontal one and just about to do the more involved positive terminal.. I say more involved because it has three cables to re attach.. that should be fun..? So I am hoping when I test drive the LR 2 the seat height can be changed?
2:19 Lord have mercy you wear that seatbelt well. At least the one you are driving has a drivers armrest. It is very annoying not to have armrests for the driver if the vehicle is auto.
Добрый вечер У меня вопрос. Если не сложно отпишитесь как будет время. Вообще в фрилендере 2014 года На панели приборов пишет машина? У меня ещё ничего не писала пока что Например ну что она требует. While this is for a 2014 model, what do you think of the 2015 LR2? A local Chevy dealership of mine has one for $15,500 with (approx) 84,000 miles, and I'm thinking about buying it and sucking up (pun intended) the high gas bill. I'm also thinking they'll go lower just to get it off their lot since it's not a Chevy. Thoughts?
One thing you didn't mention - and it's the reason I bought an LR2 - is the gas mileage is much better than any other Landrover or Range Rover model. I can afford the top Range Rover, but I think the gas milage is unconscionable. The LR2 is pretty decent.
Nice spelling and grammar. You are obviously a highly educated individual to have developed such keen powers of discernment. And how were you able to uncover my lie the way you did? Astonishing. Your parents should be proud.
Great review, I think you nailed what this vehicle is about! Got my wife interested to test drive one, hope she bites because I can't stand BMW mall parking lot rated SUV.
She said something along the lines of: if you're going to get all this performance, and stay at such a low ($50k) price point, you'll have to give up somewhere, and that's the interior. Nooo LOL. Cherokee trailhawk, $42k buys you 270hp, 9speeds, lockable rear axle 4x4, amazing infotainment system, and an awesome interior.
I've had LR2 for 5 years with no problems other than wear and tear. Very comfortable, reliable and capable car.
I call bull. The one I co-own is so bad that I'm pressuring my Dad to find a sucker that wants it before it craps out completely

Pretty sure if you could afford a top of the line model, you would not be worried about the gas mileage.
It's an environment thing, not a price thing.

Even the upcoming Renegade trailhawk will surpass this vehicle in every way except it'll have a mere 184HP, otherwise, it's superior
