  • The Land Rover brand was built on a reputation for off-road ability, something that still holds true today despite most of its vehicles sold relegated to mall-crawler duty.
Case in point is the new LR2, a vehicle that, as Graeme Fletcher describes it, has the ability to "blaze an off-road trail ... with remarkable ease."
The LR2's remarkable ground clearance, terrain response system, hill descent control, and great approach and departure angles all contribute to an awesome trailability that set it apart from the competition.

Imagine having to press a button to open the door. How inconvenient. Is this guy for real? I have a 2014 white sd4 dynamic & i absolutely love it.

This is my car and I absolutely love it! I agree100% about the horn, though I don't have any of the drama you described with putting the back seat down. I also don't have to press the smart key at all to start mine.

I've got one, I dont have to remove the head rests when folding down the rear seats, as for the horn, really.

Exactly. I've never removed them either and have folded the seats flat numerous times.

Yes, there are better options available, however, the key point of what he stated was "you can take a wheel where a never wheel has went before and, get back safely" I think that says a lot about the LR2 and it's capabilities.

Lol the privacy cover and horn are what you're so concerned about? Get real.

(2:05 to 2:16) Oh dear you have to take the key out of your pocket and press a button. I'd rather do that than have someone stand outside the house with a transceiver and be able to open the car because the key has been cloned. What a cock!

I own an earlier 2010 model where I have to put the fob in the dash and like you say I much prefer that over this modern keyless entry crap

I personally love the horn design, I drive with my thumb over the horn so I never have an issue when using it

Mixed review, picked out some good points but the bad points were just really picky little things.

I am happy with my LR2. This is not a Range Rover and of course it is a scale down model and entry level. The car pundit has more to complain than appreciate!

Sorry but this is utter rubbish. I have a 2014 sd4 metropolis and I love it. the fact you have to press the button to open the car is better as it removes the option of relay theft by scanning the cars key from inside the house so thieves can't get in the car without setting off alarms. As for lane departure etc it's just more electronics to go wrong and is just what I call lazy driver aids as they just make the driver more lazy and less observant of the surroundings as your trusting a sensor to do the work. I had all that on my previous car but never used any of it as I kept it all switched off. Trouble with modern car manufacturers now are they are just making drivers more lazy and it's why accident's are on the increase because drivers are relying on these lazy extras on cars that are not necessary. They need to stop being added and start making the driver actually have to control the vehicle themselves without all the unnecessary computer aids. The LR2/Freelander 2 is a proper drivers car and gives a luxury drive to wherever you are going. The main bit the guy said that was the only true bit of this "review" is it will take the wheel where a wheel has never been. That's because it's a well built 4x4 vehicle by the most iconic 4x4 manufacturer in the world.

What an absolute cretin worst review I’ve had the misfortune to watch, I’ve had one for 5 years and none of the negative points he mention bothers me in the least.
If he’s a so called professional I think he should seek alternative employment.
