I've had this one in concept for a little while now and am really excited to share it with you! What do you think of the result? Let me know! I personally think it has a cool vibe about it. I'm excited to see how it progresses. Anyway, enjoy the video and have a great day SerpaSquad!
I'm usually amazed by not only your artistry but your presentation of information and video capture, however there's something special about this one, at least to me anyway. It's simplicity of aesthetic along with the different but fitting glass orbs coupled with the choice of sand/ rocks in the foreground really hits the mark for me. Well done!
Side note for anyone making their own aqua/terrariums: pull the tape off immediately after you apply the silicone beads. This will ensure a clean line. If you wait for too long, the silicone becomes tacky and the edges of your silicone seams will peel up slightly. It won't harm the tank, but if you want a cleaner look, this is something I'd recommend. I learned it the hard way!
Hi Tanner, I wanted to tell you how impressed I am with all of the tips/tricks you teach us. Most people would just show it being done. You really make it easy for someone who wants to try this out for themselves. I appreciate that!!!
I'd be interested in learning about automatic misting systems and how you could use them to optimize the health of plants and critters enjoying their environment. Love the channel! Keep it up!
Tanner really doesn't use any automatic misters. He's got a MistKing on his three gecko enclosures (I think it's a MistKing? I know it's some sort of mister) but that's really it. The MistKing is the absolute best on the market tho.
Your honesty should be norm for digital media going forward; you teach and show us exactly what you do, and are completely honest about any paid promotion. Bravo.
Thank You so much for taking the time, explaining the tools, materials, and your thoughts so clearly. My Grandson is 6 yrs old and a little engineer. He watches your videos with great interest and has attempted to recreate your beautiful works. I appreciate your thoughtful and kind ways of explaining! Kind Regards ✌️
dude I found your account looking for a crested gecko vertical build and I saw the first Henry one you made when you had less than half your current subscribers, and it was super helpful, I converted a 30 gallon fish tank to vertical and initially only planted Pothos and dracaenas from Home Depot, but Its going 4 years strong with lots of new inhabitants such as a green anole, millipedes, snails, dubia roaches, a variety of springtails and isopods, flatworms, and beneficial fungi and mushrooms along with mosses and my favorite part is an orchid thats doing surprisingly well for a a crested gecko jumping all over the place lol. The devitrivores are becoming the most interesting part to me, how all of the plants and inhabitants synergies to form a natural forest ecosystem, I haven't had to clean the tank once and it looks pristine, and they make the soil extremely fertile essentially producing compost. The only maintenance I ever do is trim the Pothos leaves and put them back in, over four years its vines have grown deeply rooted and completely covering the background wall and its an amazing effect having sturdy living vines waffles(gecko) loves them. Its also good that the "bug" population is so high because it provides the lizards with the experience to naturally hunt. Since I watched your video, Ive been hooked and enjoy watching your builds. How much you have progressed especially in your vivarium builds is amazing its inspiring to seeing how innovative you can be. Keep up the great content
I finally did my first two terrarium for free and they are thriving.. but I think I'm addicted now and I'm researching more and more thanks to Tanner. Now I have a new hobby!!
Absolutely wonderful! I love when you do scapes that are quite different. The fish definitely give it a pop of colour. I am always in awe of your talent.
Tanner, I've always enjoyed your creations, and your latest videos just take them to the next level! The set up itself is beautiful, and I really appreciate how you share the steps along the way. I know it is a lot of work to film separate shots of just the tools, and then go back and edit it music, but those details are noticed, and appreciated. I think it's humble and encouraging that you share that you've been doing this for a very long time, to help manage expectations for those newer to the hobby. Awesome build; those rasboras and snails are lucky!
Wow. Anyone else amazed at the amount of incredible ideas and pioneering methods that Tanner has produced? What a unique setup! I also really appreciated the more informative video this week. Perfect timing, because I’m planning on cutting glass today for a new setup I’ve been working on lately. Thanks for going over the process! ✌️
Bogs are amazing. I love this build Tanner. I've had a large outdoor pond for 10 years and a prerequisite when I built it was a large bog. It's made maintenance a cinch and my water is always crystal clear - always.
This is so gorgeous. I really love how the orbs just look like they were set down in some water and are thriving. Your eye for scaping things up is spectacular. I just re-watched the upflow tank you made previous to this last night and this is truly a wonderful second go at it. You've inspired me to add water into my plant room. One day when I have the courage I'll give it a try. I don't know if I'll ever add animals- but I will totally have water features.
I know you ended up dismantling this one for your move, but I love it a lot. It's a very cool concept and the spherical shapes of the orbs add an interesting affect to the overall look and design of the aquarium that is uncommon.
This is amazing. Also your killing me with all the inspiration you're giving out. I have started building tanks for other people because I am out of approved tank space in my home 😂❤️
@@johnfanning571 I totally help for tips. I am very good at building lower maintenance systems that also look pretty decent. I recently built a Betta tank with peace lily and pothos on top for my little old neighbor lady and walked my friend through a set up so that she could start her tropical plant cuttings in it.
Have been kicking around the idea of a above water planted tank for a while and return to your videos repeatedly. You are so very good at breaking down your process so that it is easy to follow. thank you so very much! You truly are the reason that all my reptiles have fully bio-active. Thank you for helping me to give them the very best!
I love that there are plants but let the tank itself is so clear and we have such a good view of those gorgeous fish. I never heard of them before, I think they're my new favorite in the animal room. 😍
I thoroughly enjoy your videos! Your talent is utterly amazing! One thing you do unlike others is you afford time for the viewer to enjoy the outcome… I so appreciate that. Thank you!🫶👏👏👏👏
Would love to see a true bog setup used with inline with several tanks, in hopes they could become maintenance free. Thanks for the vid, always enjoy them!
I love the look of this. The over flowing bowls make a stunningly simple statement. I thoroughly enjoy your channel and getting to see the results. Love from Australia.
I have this plant I bought on impulse that would be perfect for this type of set up, I've been having trouble keeping it moist enough. This gives me a really good idea for what to do with it!
I find it weirdly relatable how many videos you’ve done with bandaids on your fingers. If I had a dollar for every time I nicked myself with a knife or a pair of pruning shears, I’d be able to retire right now, at 22 years old.
I had to rebuild a fishtank that arrived broken this week and ended up re-watching a bunch of your videos to give me the moral support to get started. Love your work mate.
Id love to see more things done in jars and everyday items I love all of your mini terrariums and it would be cool to see a collection made from just dollar store items that anybody can do and anyone can afford 😀😊 I know you've done alot before but you have so much more experience now I think it'd be even better and a good throw back
Have you ever considered more of an aquaponics type setup, with edible plants as part of the scape? I don't know if there are any riparian type plants that would be really edible, but it might be interesting to convert some of that nitrogen to something usable, rather than just plant growth that gets regularly pruned

the whole idea & concept of this tank is super cool Serpa! Really unique way of thinking how to incorporate the water echange system into a tank. For your question toward the end of the video: I think it looks cool, but perhaps a tint of red/orange somehwere to break up the wood/green
good to see some of my favorite fish in a scape of yours. porkchop rasboras (and harlequin rasboras) are very charming & beautiful little fish that i wish were more popular. they always look great in planted tanks with their unique coloring. great work as always!

Love it! Gorgeous! I really can't wait for winter in the north woods to end here so I can do some work outside like this... Tiny apartment has enough room for a tank but not enough room to make one.
So nice! This reminded me of one of my old never-finished projects since a few years ago, and gave me some ideas on how to fix the problems that made me shelf it in the first place! I'll give it another go with that 😁
I'm always amazed by your creativity and skill with your scaping projects, it's truly a treat to see each new creation. I really appreciate you explaining each step, it's nice to know what's going on and how you reach the final product. Thank you for making these incredible videos, I can't wait to see what you do next!
1.) I'm happy to see you put espei rasboras in there. For being the prettiest Trigonostigma they don't get nearly enough love. 2.) With the glass orbs; how you keep the inside/outside clean? I assume on the outside you'll just use something like a magic eraser to wipe it down regularly, but how do you keep the inside of the glass from being covered with algae and other biofilm?

Overall I think it looks amazing however I think the top plants contrast with the scapes scale otherwise another great build for the animal room.
Tanner, please buy some running pliers! They aren’t expensive and it take a lot of work out of cutting glass!

You'd think I would get bored of seeing a rimless tank being built, but I love watching it everytime.
Beautiful scape and great design! The glass bowls will look neat when you can start to see the root systems as the plants grow.
I realy like the flow of the wood in this build. Very gentle but striking. Lovely build as always.🙂

These are honestly one of my favorite tanks that you do! Having the plants above the rim.
This was the most beautiful and serene scape you've ever made. My jaw was on the floor.
