Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 and went on to become one of the most influential, innovative, and successful groups in modern music, having sold more than 300 million albums worldwide. The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Jimmy Page brought in John Bonham, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant to tour as The New Yardbirds. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released its self-titled debut which was produced by Page, as were all the subsequent albums. It marked the beginning of a 12-year reign, during which the group was widely considered to be the biggest and most innovative rock band in the world. - Видеоклипы

really ¿? anything interesting you would like to share with us about that show ¿?
:)
@@criaturaimaginaria5230 Earles Court wasn’t the best place to see bands, huge stone columns everywhere. The sound was appalling (I recorded and still have the entire show on tape) They started with ‘rock and roll’ it was a total mess. My friend can clearly be heard saying WTF is that! Then we all start laughing. We spent all night out in the freezing cold waiting to buy tickets, at that point we felt a little let down. Bob was struggling with his voice and was adjusting vocal melody to accommodate his lack of range. The drum and keyboard solos were far too long. England had beaten Scotland 5:1 that day and the place was full of disgruntled Jocks in kilts. The big screen (first ever I believe) was out of sync. The laser show (first time ever used) was pitiful. We missed the train home and slept on Paddington all night.....still, I met my wife there which wasn’t a bad thing 😊 I wouldn’t have missed it for the world!

Pure raw unfiltered talent. Something that so desperately needs to make a comeback.. but prolly won't. Music is all about money now, sad.

Precisely. I believe whatever is out there these days, will never touch what the 60"s through early 90's had . That level will not be reached again. The quality, quite simply cannot be replicated.

I was at this concert!
17 years old, wide eyed and optimistic.
This is still one of my favourite songs by them 🎶❤️
I wish I'd been there. I was 10 at the time but subsequently became a fan of Zeppelin and ELO, far more Zeppelin these days. The brilliance of youth they wrote most of the best known songs before they were 23 years old.
I too saw them in 1977 in Atlanta i was 14 my sister took me i have been hooked sense i love them all they were the perfect match ! Page and plant get the most attention but they both know what they had and when Bonzo passed it would have been like driving a car with one wrong size tire on it

Played this on a juke box on New Years Eve of ‘94. For the woman I would marry She’s my California girl, wearing flowers. “Are you for real?”
It's crazy this band consisted of what most people would say is a top 5 musician for each of their respective roles. Plant vocals, Page guitar, Jones bass, Bonham drums. May be a long time before we ever see that combination of greatness again.
It's aggravating that there is so little footage of John Paul Jones playing, even in a song like this. He gets shown for a split second. I want to see him too! His contributions were huge!
Aye mate, you're absolutely right. I think the cameraman / director really missed something here. JPJ was such an important part of the band (there were no 'bit-players' in Led Zep!) Also, personally gutted because I'm learning this on mandolin and I'm trying to see as many different versions as possible.
You get it!! I experience the same thing when I'm trying to learn his basslines.
He made his music stand out and i dont think he would want anything other than that. its always like this in rock bands, the lead guitarist and the singer gets all the praise. Real one knows that's not the case, at least not for this band. He is the unsung anchor of this band.
I'm sure you're right. He seems humble, but I wish he got the respect that he has earned, from everybody.
Agree!
At seventy I still find this magical. So glad I got this music in my lifetime.

"There will never be another one like them"?? I don't know about that, there was this band called the Beatles, perhaps you heard of them hahaha😂
@@ScottDavis-sj1rp Yea, the beatles were great and all, but comparing them to Zeppelin is funny.
@metalgeniusjoe5602 What's "funny" about it?? Don't misunderstand me, I personally think Led Zeppelin and perhaps the Who were in the top 3 -- the Beatles, again being # 1. And when I was in high school in the 1970's i.e., class of "79" I actually liked the Who and Led Zep more than the Beatles. But over time I actually came to the conclusion that the Beatles were better than both of them. But hey, to each their own. So Merry Christmas and Peace Out Bro.
@@ScottDavis-sj1rp You're right on all that. I guess it's all personal preference. One thing is for sure, the 60s and 70s put out the best music. Hope you and your family have a nice holiday season. Take care.

Same. Love Led Zeppelin. Just heard this on Sirius and I am completely blown away. This song takes on a life of its own if you listen to the lyrics. I should expect nothing less from a group of gentlemen who were known at one point in time as “THE #1 BAND in the world” on Atlantic Records. Can’t argue it. Proof is out there. Amazing song.

John Paul Jones never stops to amaze me, that guy is a band on his own...😎
Look at Jimmy Page digging JPJ's riff at 1:52. Gotta love those little moments where a master appreciates another master's craft.
Jimmy always looks like he was born with a guitar in his hands. There will never be a better rock guitarist/composer/entertainer. Jimmy is Kareem without a Lebron in sight.

He is indeed, but the LZ screen time always seemed to be something like Page 55% Plant 42%, Bonzo 2% JPJ 1%

I'd have to agree with you. There were some great bands, but when you go through LZ's body of work, it sure stands the test of time.
I would have to say the the beatles and jimi hendrix’s recordings were better, and laid the groundwork for Led Zeppelin’s amazing contributions to rock
