He is one of the best vocalists of all time.
❤
He is the best as far as I am concerned. I am 69 yrs old.
People that age being able to sing like THIS.... Have all my deepest respect. I've seen Robert Plant many times... Including with this band at WOMAD festival ❤️
The acoustic guitar player looks like he's playing in the gig of a lifetime! He's like a little kid at Christmas while he's playing! Must be an awesome feeling!
Well he's played with Robert since 2002 so I would chalk it up to loving the energy of the performance.
I've been onstage in front of maybe 1000 it's a feeling that you crave the whole time after.
I wish I were one of the lucky ones
Not for the fame or money just the feeling of everyone who is there is amazing
When people are good at what they do. Nothing like a bunch of musos doing what they love.
Hit it on the nail!
Roberts voice has evolved naturally and his covers of the originals are a new and grown up sound that is very appropriate. A wonderful live master journeyman.
Canis very well said!
Maybe he has allowed himself to changed with age ... you can't really be that 20 year old as a 70 year old but a 70 year old has a hell of a lot more experience that's for sure. Unlike some "rockers" who cling to their youth I think Robert Plant has evolved or just changed and gone with it ... nothing wrong with that especially when a lot of his voice is still so great!
Agree! Couldn't stick Led Zep - self indulgent musical masturbation.
But the stuff he's being doing (with collaborators) the last 15 years or so...WOW!!
@@hairyrichardson8921 ...and I have to add, he is extremely cool, gives me the goose bumps, his voice and expressions are so beautiful. I seriously respect this dude.
And the influences that takes one there…
He always has had hasn’t he😇
After all these years Robert Plant is still the coolest guy in the room lol.
Lad likes the CIDER..😂
He said he's too far away from MIDDLE EARTH 😎
most flacid
❤
The pure emotion in his voice is chilling....
PASSION HES NO FAKE ITS HIS DESTINY TO BE THE MAN HE IS !!! YESHUAH
I agree. He’s been this way from the beginning.
Saw him last Nov and I was completely in Awe he was that good .
His voice still sends chills through me❤❤ so talented
Totally. I still get chills listening to this song and Stairway.
Outstanding!! Thank heavens Robert is still with us!
This is one Plant that continues to grow.
Nice!
After 47 years of listening to this legend, I still can’t get enough of this renaissance man. Trying like hell to find tickets to see him and Allison ANYWHERE this summer!
No matter how much praise people throw on robert, he is still vastly underated.
I agree. Everyone talks of how innovative Zeppelin was, but forget to mention that Plant became a great band leader and a far better singer afterwards.
Well said 👏
He’s not underrated to me I just discovered him back in October 2021 and I just can’t get enough of it from the band a joy to him and Jimmy and now with Allison I am just blown away by his graciousness humility and naturally his voice
?
I agree. Though I had a thought as I was writing this. There is one thing: Once you sing with Jimmy Page playing guitar it is all downhill from there
I saw some foot of Robert from his 2022 show. Calling him underrated would be understated
Is it just me, or did he grow into this song? I find it much more moving coming from “aged and reflective Plant” than “young rock superstar Plant”.
YES!
I think Robert grew into his music as he got older! I love the music even more now!
I agree that was amazing
Agreed. The voice so much smoother and has a lot depth to it. The emotions are very prominent now than then.
We all season my friend..signs😂 of YER progression...
When you are known for your talent and not for your PR image campaigns thats when you know you have made it. Plant will always be one of the greatest.
The beautiful voice still sings, it’s a beautiful world
I see you a man which brings happines to those of us who were there in the 70"s . We need more of you in these dark times. With all the hatred. You make my life easier with all the haters against me.
Oh the 70s, wonderful 70s
I hear ya. Entered 1970 @ age 12, exited '79 age 23. No matter what happens in other decades, I'll always be grateful that I was gifted that one incredible stretch of time to come of age in!
Saw him and Allison Krause in concert in Lake Tahoe, this such a great song
The Legendary Robert Plant with one of the best Melodies of all time. 👍🙌🙌🙌🌟
Like a fine wine...
like a sweet love, like a sweet wake up....
We are both Leo's birthdays a day apart . But both so wise!
Always so beautiful of an artist as a poet. As Robert is.
She drank it all.
Robert my dear...the tears on my notebook is the best thing I can give to you...tanks so much...so much. From Patagonia Argentina with absolutely love and respect. Tyncho.
Such a nice comment Martin.......beautiful
Going to Patagonia with an aching in my heart?
What a feeling when I saw him performing this amazing song!! I cried a lot!
We learned about gratitude and humility - that so many people had a hand in our success, from the teachers who inspired us to the janitors who kept our school clean... and we were taught to value everyone's contribution and treat everyone with respect. And I want to specially appreciate you for being a big fan. Thanks for your love and nice comments on my post, it means a lot to me and I would like to know more about you and how long you have been a good fan of mine Okay then I will direct you to my gmail address platform where we talk more on my leisure hour.

Though I rarely comment here on my RUclips pages, I was attracted by the emotions in your comment. I'll like we get along and stay in touch. Where are you streaming from?
Saw them in 77 in Cleveland best concert all time for me
Wow how amazing
Last year I was able to take my wife and 1 1/2 year old son to see Mr. Plant live performing this song. A precious moment and memory I will never forget!
Damn Robert, you are still a magic man.
Please keep singing Zepplin songs. It takes me back to good times. At my age 64 that all I have are GREAT memories of zepplin songs. The 70's. H.S. years.Best time of my life.
yup
Robert Plant. You have a mysterious way of pulling out the threads of life from places in the universe. The band is just a tool you use to do it. Amazing.
Happy 70th birthday to a true legend!
I just love listening to well-rehearsed musicians playing in a grove and having a great time. Also, I like seeing the smiles and nods of reassurance from Robert. What a pleasure to watch.
I've never seen him frown in the last 5 years. (seen him LIVE 5x) I've not ever seen him happier!
I remember him as a young God! Now he's an older God!!! But still a God!!!
A god he shall remain.
Sorry to disagree with you on your assessment of his current status. His voice has deteriorated dramatically. Go listen to Paul Rodgers from Free and Bad Co. He is at least 70 and his voice is truly amazing. I wish you well Tony.
@@gusgone4527
Yeah Plant lost his range after 1995 but he is amazing anyway. the greatest voice of all time together with mercury
@@gusgone4527 he's a God with narrower tonal range.
@@gusgone4527 the same with steven tyler, he is over 70 and only got better with time
This is so good... Almost better than the original. Robert's voice, in fact, reflects the experience and knowledge he has gained as a singer. Beautiful. This has been one of my favorites for 40 years now.
I'm going to assume what darkmaitri meant (not right to do, I admit). Your average singer hits 70 years of age, and doesn't have half of the kickass talent of RP! I've listened to several other songs he's done 'lately', and it's pretty much as good as it ever was. (MHO)
ruclips.net/video/UbwYbRVODmo/видео.html one of my favorites.
he lost his voice decades ago, but we forgive him.
@@markadams7328 ain't so. not even close. not in this galaxy anyway.
in the '70s his voice was INSANE...... Somewhere near the Soprano range. His voice has been dead since the early '80s.
me too
Absolutely LOVE this. What a brilliant performance.
This is as wondrous and beautiful as when RP was younger. Like his voice, this song gets more resonant and beautiful, as time goes on.
Robert Plant’s “I’m in the Mood” is one of my absolute favorite songs.
Thank you for all your sacrifices, hard work, collaboration and creativity to bring such great music to us over all these years. Truly a mega accomplishment to be immensely satisfied with!
Robert making it last!.. Making it good!.. What a wonderful voice! Such a magnificent performer! Robert remains unequaled.
Beautiful. A fresh take on a classic. He is fronting some truly fantastic musicians. Well done !
...one of my late mom's favorites...R.I.P., Mom...🌺
Its great to see Robert still performing after all these years. He can't hit those high notes anymore, but still impressive.
The musicians have good dynamics as well.
Of men and truth
Happy birthday Robert Anthony Plant! Best regards from Russia 😍🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹💖
Your comment from Russia shows an appreciation of western music Best wishes to you!
Incidentally my wife is Ukrainian ..
I hope this war ends soon ❤

Might be my favourite rendition. Hearing the rasp of his age but still being able to hear that 20 something Robert Plant at the same time is awesome.
That's why I love modern Robert's voice more than the one of his youth. His vocals now just hit me in a different way.
He getting classier every year...
my favorite voice ever. such a poet, fantastic fresh reimagined take on his original.
One of the best vocalist around.
I’ve been listening to Him for 51 years only gets better

Even if Robert Plant decides to sing nothing but LALALA the whole show we will be still same happy.
What a glorious legendary man
I am 52 years old, been a Zep fan since the beginning. Mr Plant continually amazes me .. so much depth accrued from meager beginning. Realize us that we have it all inside us from the start. No Doubt!
Can't be a better rendition after all those years than by King Robert himself. Like a good old wine
I literally followed the words of the song and came to California with an aching in my heart.
Never looked back. Thank you Robert and Zep...
Plant you are awesome I wish every lady loved me as much as they love you
I can picture myself walking in the woods on a crisp fall day to this song, back in the 70's.1:45 the look on his face.
I remember too🎉
@@suekuhn840Damn I miss the 70's😢
I WANT MORE OF ROBERT PLANT WHAT A TRUE CHAMPION HE IS A VISIONARY WHO NEVER GETS IT WRONG LIKE A SONG WRITEN IN MY SOUL FROM ME TO YOU !! THANYOU ZEPPELIN!!!!KARFOOFU
Im grateful i have seen Robert Plant And The Sensational Space Shifters live in Denmark few years ago
MR. PLANT...simply the BEST!!!
@karen Y'all are the damn best. I'm honored to have the kind of support that you show me, thank you. How are you doing it is nice meeting you here btw.
OMG Plant still sounds great--looks good too
I can only imagine what the music is like in heaven. In the meantime, this is about as good as it comes in my book. His music touches my soul like no other.
No arguments there.
still setting the bar for the younger rockers to aspire to... love the way they have acousticed it up for all of us now we are a bit older and more appreciative of real instruments notjust distorted rock noise...jolly well done
Robert, you have definitely graced my life.
When I see this a rush of great memories of the 70’s floods back. The sound is so poignant now. Robert and Jagger have each kept a high degree of their singing voices. Just check out any vids from the last couple years. It was good to be a young man back in the early 70’s.
Jagger sounded amazing on the Lonesome and Blue record a few years back; and Robert, well what can you say? The man keeps moving forward with that unmistakable voice.
Plant just keeps gettin better and better
kiwizeppelin lol no
He’s really good
Are you kidding? He’s nothing without Zeppelin. Plays lots of Zep tunes without Zep. Wtf? He doesn’t rock.
Bill Heisey Wise men speak because they have something to say. Fools because they have to say something ~ Plato
Try to be the wise man, not the fool.
I don’t know about getting better, when you consider he’s in his 70s and can still pull off these songs, it is amazing. His voice has aged gracefully, and he’s working within the age imposed limitations that we unfortunately all face.
This is a special band with the Great Singer Robert Plant !
Always brings a tear to my eye. The lyrics, the vocals and that mandolin. Beautiful!
I watched older version of this song after watching this.God bless Mr. Plant
Led Zeppelin's last American concert was at Kezar Stadium in San Francisco - I believe it was in 1979. At the time, I had lived in the same district (Sunset) in S F. where the stadium is located. I was 11 years old and had yet to discover Led Zeppelin; in fact, it would be less than a year later that I had. Around 1982 I had turned my mom on to Zeppelin, and by 1983 I and my mom were fortunate enough to catch Robert Plant on his Big Log tour when he and his band played in Oakland. Phil Collins was his drummer throughout the tour.
It was amazing. I would love to see him once more before he retires. I'm glad to see Sir Robert Plant alive and well, and doing what he does best. Keep on rocking! ❤
Robert Plant is at his peak. Incredible body of work with this awesome ensemble!
Fall of '72 communing with fellow hippies, living in a couple of teepees in the woods of the Kettle Valley near a one horse town, Rock Creek. One of the teepees had turntable and speakers hooked up to an old industrial inverter and car batteries. At one point the blotter acid came out and we watched the sun go down onto of a high ridge and the moon and stars come out. Somewhere in all of that someone put on the the fourth album with this. The memories a single tune can evoke.
I saw these as they were released. I love his stuff he's done as growing older.
Saw them in denmark what a concert...Amazing!
Good Vibes between Robert and the talented Band Members. Thanks for sharing the classic songs. This video brings back memory of our family enjoying the amazing show at The Capitol Theatre, Port Chester, NY
Compare him to other singers his age and he sounds almost unbelievably good. It's like he hasn't age at all since 1980. What a voice!
I saw them Monday night at Clear lake, IA. Absolutely amazing. It looks like we will be able to see them again in concert. He said he was talking to Willie Nelson the week before and Willie asked him if his albums were coming to an end. He told Willie he was going to keep making albums. Best concert I've ever been to and I've seen a lot of them.
Neverending great voice of Robert!!! He is a God's Gift to us all, really!!!
Midnight summer in Buenos Aires, suddenly hear and see this...is... the beautiful things in life

As I watch him today my mind keeps switching him back 50 years ago - he is amazing!
Fantastic ! I understand why he does no longer need a reunion.
exacttly! He has moved on following his heart and soul - he doesn't look back.
just unreal what do you expect he's robert plant the voice of the entire universe sings through this guy kh
Oh, so good… Robert Plant never disappoints, such a great song and he is so smooth with his words, fits well with the musicians ♥️
I love this song and the beautiful mandolin. When I close my eyes I am magically returned to the early '70's. Robert's voice still sounds strong and luscious. His band is perfect with him.
It was wonderful to see all of you in Moorhead, MN 2 years ago. A small outdoor venue, it was magic🌟💗💗💗💗💗

Hello from Colorado USA 🕊️
I experienced PAGE/ PLANT 2x Live
I'll see you in June 2023 in TAOS N.M.🤘😎
I have always been impressed with how he continues to surround himself with talented musicians. Glad to see him still perform, music is part of who he is and he shares that gift with us. Saw him with Page in Boston in 1995 then with these guys on 6-15-2005 ( my birthday) in Providence RI. Best birthday present ever. Thank you Robert.
My treks over Utah hills, mountains, and deserts was filled with Robert Plant's music. Especially on star filled nights around the campfire.🌠
This is a song he can still pull off, as no high growls or extended vocal reaches.
I was before watching this song in 1975 ... amazing song. Regards from Brazil.
This ol boy can still bring a tear to your eye.
Oh yes
This song sure does
His voice is a treasure and I always go to beautiful places in my life when I hear him. Great memories of sharing his music with my precious Mama who has moved on to her Heavenly home. I cherish those years and my heart is always lifted hearing his timeless voice! ❤
ROBERT PLANT FOREVER! LONG LIVE ROBERT PLANT!
Обожаю вас с 1974 когда впервые услышала в СССР Роберт, вы мой любимый певец самого наилучшего здоровья счастья
i first saw Led Zep in 1979. Saw Robert Plant live many times in the 80s and 90s. Saw him again last year he was fantastic brought tears to my eyes just magical. And the band are great. I love his recent stuff its different and I like the way he is constantly changing. Of course his voice has changed but it suits what he is doing now. Fantastic
You can come to California to see me Robert lol..xoxo..

Watching this is a gift to the soul during these coronavirus times
"Going To California"
Spent my days with a woman unkind
Smoked my stuff and drank all my wine
Made up my mind to make a new start
Going to California with an aching in my heart
Someone told me there's a girl out there
With love in her eyes and flowers in her hair
Took my chances on a big jet plane
Never let them tell you that they're all the same
The sea was red and the sky was grey
Wondered how tomorrow could ever follow today
Mountains and the canyons start to tremble and shake
The children of the sun begin to awake
Watch out
Seems that the wrath
Of the Gods
Got a punch on the nose
And it started to flow
I think I might be sinking
Throw me a line
If I reach it in time
I'll meet you up there
Where the path runs straight
And high
To find a queen without a king
They say she plays guitar and cries and sings
Ride a white mare in the footsteps of dawn
Tryin' to find a woman who's never, never, never been born
Standing on a hill in the mountain of dreams
Telling myself it's not as hard, hard, hard as it seems
Beautiful lyrics
It is truly beyond me that even after all these decades Robert Plant still has such an incredible voice.
