Growing up in the 70's there were so many great bands and musicians, Floyd, Stones, Sabbath, The Who, Rush, Queen, Deep Purple, Bowie, etc and then there was Led Zeppelin who were the kings!
And one of the nicest guys ever. We were very fortunate to meet him during the Shakin' & Stirred tour having been a kid who saw Zeppelin in '77 also at MSG. Lucky indeed.
I Absoulutely LOVE This "TALANTED MAN"!! I Swear His Voice Is To Perfection In Whatever He Sings. Robert Plant, You Are "The Golden God", The True LEGEND!! FOREVER......
This performance really brings out the nuance and subtlety of his vocal delivery which is so often overlooked by those who only remember his powerhouse wailing.
Jack Kilman you perfectly put into words my exact thoughts and emotions, upon listening to this reinvention of one of my most favored Zep Classics. The ages conveyed in Mr Plant's voice adds a depth, richness and layers of emotions that one developes only through the passage of times. I can hear many lifetime's in the way he sings this piece now, that I had never heard before when compared to his delivery, back in his younger years. Mr Plant's voice and delivery resonates so much deeper, than I had once believed possible. ✌💖
This is EXACTLY why he will often talk about his early Led days and say things like he had a long way to go with his voice back then. Somewhere along the way, he got progressively aware from just going over the top with it and emphasizing more and more the character, subtleties, depth of emotion, and sensuality of his voice.
+M ...Yeah, there was a traffic jam of such size we had to park two miles away and walk to the stadium! 70,000 people covering the entire bleachers and the football field, with many thousands more outside trying to hear the show for free... it was a world's record for a one night show at the time. Impressions... amazing sound system, great setlist, lighting and efx were spectacular, and it was Zeppelin on the Houses of the Holy tour! No Quarter...
They did Tampa June 3 in 1977 also and a couple of days prior to that show I saw Plant, wife and kids ( one child would die only weeks later) and some other guy at Disney World. I asked if I could take a photo and he obliged. I took a few more as he walked away.
I was there with my hs gf, halfway up the west bleachers. Bota bags, joints, even pipes were passed. No problems at all, the cops were cool and let us be. Chuck Berry had us all singing My Ding-a-ling...man, that was a great show!
I was skeptical to hear someone try and replace Page on a song like this, brought his own classical spanish guitar vibe and blew me away - really well done!
It looks like being poisoned; shot; dumped in a river; and being a hundred and forty nine years only made the Mad Monk stronger. It's hard to keep a good lunatic down.
Not many singers can do what Robert Plant does. Grow old gracefully and vocally be able to carry on the way he has. How lucky are we to be able to listen.
@Robert Plant If that is really you Mr. Plant, it is an honor. I've seen you live with Led Zeppelin to singing with Alison Krauss. I generally don't comment on line but this one brought back a lot of memories. thanks again.
Recently, I have made Robert Plant my go to when I am feeling a need for peace of mind and dreaming. Splod ™ Wrong. Freddie liked some of Plant's stuff but NEVER said Plant was better than himself. Show your source for that claim please. And anyone with ears and a brain knows Plant has always had a nasal, whiny, shrill voice...and sang off key ALOT. Freddie's voice, had great shimmer, tone, color, richness, vibrato, resonance, flair, range, perfect pitch, clarity, personality and dynamics like no other in rock or pop music...and in comparison to Plants screechy whine...is light years ahead.

Growing up in the 70's there were so many great bands and musicians, Floyd, Stones, Sabbath, The Who, Rush, Queen, Deep Purple, Bowie, etc and then there was Led Zeppelin who were the kings!
What a fantastical guitarist this dude is .... Robert is so blessed to have him 🎸🎶🎶✨✨✨
Liam Tyson, lead guitarist from Cast, brilliant underrated band.
Thanks for his name & Band - will look them up now
To be fair, it would be hard for him to settle for any less on the zep tunes?
oh my god the voice is ... fucking amazing
I still have goose bumps when I hear this song.
✌💖
Totally agree with you ... the range and variation in power is MUCH more effective
This is EXACTLY why he will often talk about his early Led days and say things like he had a long way to go with his voice back then. Somewhere along the way, he got progressively aware from just going over the top with it and emphasizing more and more the character, subtleties, depth of emotion, and sensuality of his voice.
I love his voice and his demeanor. He’s an icon of the age of real music.
*WORLD NEEDS ROBERT PLANT SING MORE SONGS. EVERY SONG SINGS TIMELESS*
The guitarist is awesome. Wow
Thank you for the beautiful comment, I’m glad you never stopped loving my songs ❤
“I can hear it calling me the way it used to do.”
That line acquires even more meaning fifty years later…
Makes me smile, remembering Zep at Tampa Stadium, May 5, 1973... keep the fire burning, Robert

Kennedy center honors led zepellin
Saw Lzep Knebworth in England in 1979 - brilliant
Immaculate Robert! And that Rasputin guitar player: a virtouso.
Werner Julinho Mantilla Pizarro- Liam "Skin" Tyson
I was skeptical to hear someone try and replace Page on a song like this, brought his own classical spanish guitar vibe and blew me away - really well done!
Awesome!! Robert still has it and that guitarist killed it!
I'd be lying if I said that I was a big Zeppelin fan back in those days, but I gotta hand it to Plant, he still has the chops.
After 50 years Robert Plant still go it !
Rasputin can sure play the guitar these days!!!!!
hahahaha
Hahahahaha
It looks like being poisoned; shot; dumped in a river; and being a hundred and forty nine years only made the Mad Monk stronger. It's hard to keep a good lunatic down.
Rasputin !! Lololololololol 🎭😂🎭😂🎭😂
😂
Not many singers can do what Robert Plant does. Grow old gracefully and vocally be able to carry on the way he has. How lucky are we to be able to listen.
@Robert Plant If that is really you Mr. Plant, it is an honor. I've seen you live with Led Zeppelin to singing with Alison Krauss.
I generally don't comment on line but this one brought back a lot of memories. thanks again.
that guy on classic guitar...amazing
Recently, I have made Robert Plant my go to when I am feeling a need for peace of mind and dreaming. I love going through the many years of his music, interviews, and so enjoy listening to his great lyrics and magical voice. He is such a great musician and a craftsman of his own soul. I so appreciate that has shared himself with us all for so many years.
His voice didn´t change anything from the 70s....He´s for me in the top 5 best rock ´n roll singers of all time...unbelievable his voice!
Name another musician with a more recognizable voice in rock n roll. Bon Scott maybe. Plant kills it every time
Charles Geer- Jimi Hendrix and a Jim Morrison, but I get your point. Robert Plant is #1!
Roger Waters. "Weird Al" Yankovic. Elvis.
Jeff Buckley...
@@joeyhuebner10 Plant. Elvis. Cornell. Morrison. All very recognizable. But Plant is hard to miss I agree. Unless someone is copying him that is, cough cough.
David Bowie
Браво Роберт👋👋👋Твой голос всё ещё будоражит душу!!!Отличная команда 👍
Музыка🎤🎼🎹🎶 Восхищает!!!!!!!
Robert plant you still have a magnificent voice,.
His voice is pure magic
You are beautiful as you have always been Mr. Plant. You alway will be. you have aged so beautifully, but it's no surprise. I only wish you could see this comment and know you have one fan that is totally memorized by your beauty and tone that it's magical. you are the best!
Trisha Rydalch You're not the only one, he's been fucking "fans" for almost 50 years
Idiots^^
I AGREE ROBERT PLANT IS THE GOLDEN GOD OF ROCK. HIS SINGING IS STILL MAGICAL,MYSTICAL, I HAVE BEEN TO AROUND 50 OF HIS CONCERTS, AND IMAGE A MAN TOURING ALL OVER THE WORLD AT 70YRS OF AGE. ROBERT WILL BE FOREVER YOUNG KEEP THE MOJO PERCY WE LOVE YOU.
50 shows ..should of bought his albums would of been way cheaper and more beleaveable
Trisha Rydalch No f*ckin’ auto-tune goin’ on here :)
This is the finest front man and singer of the 70s. Period. No one else apply
Darrin Ros Sorry but that accolade has to go to one, Freddie Mercury.
Darrin Ros don't forget about Freddie Mercury
Don't forget about Freddie Mercury
K knkmmmm knkmmmm Darrin Ros j k
A rock God then, a rock God now and forever..this just gives me chills and feels!!!
The era of Plant and the so many talents from Britain, unrivaled,IMHO
This is a man who flat out just lives and loves music! Never stop Planty.
He sure knows how to find talent too, this guitar player is fantastic!
Robert Plant is getting better every day. What a beautiful voice!
Mateus Tavares thats pushing it but he is still my favorite and in my opinion, best singer ever
Robert did the right thing to go out on his own. It is the artist in him that makes that call.
Plant has such a contemplative face, especially during that solo. Such a mystical atmosphere they created here.
My life wouldn't be complete without Robert Plant's songs.
I Can Hear Plant Calling Me The Way Zep Used to Do...
YEP ! )))
😂
Exactly!
Nice!
@@tdhawk167 & U 2! BADASS, GRRRL! TY!
