Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 and went on to become one of the most influential, innovative, and successful groups in modern music, having sold more than 300 million albums worldwide. The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Jimmy Page brought in John Bonham, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant to tour as The New Yardbirds. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released its self-titled debut which was produced by Page, as were all the subsequent albums. It marked the beginning of a 12-year reign, during which the group was widely considered to be the biggest and most innovative rock band in the world. - Видеоклипы
My uncle broke up with his first girlfriend in the 70's because she said she didn't like Led Zeppelin. Love that man.
Yup sounds toxic. Wise man
She was probably jealous of Robert Plant!😂
Haha! I saw LZ in Oakland, 1977. I was 17, nothing compared, well, I'm a Deadhead too. Diversity you know!
@@laurie1536 Zeppelin is my favorite band and The Dead are #2, I feel this too.
@@XXAbbott I was on a classic rock bender last night here on YT. Watched old Janis Joplin videos, one with her singing with Tom Jones on his show in about 1969 ( good duet but cracked me up, Tom Jones doing his best to match her. Hilarious! ) Also, came across some old Joe Walsh ,The song "Meadows", love that song! Hadn't heard it in years. Played it 3 times in a row. haha A fun trip down memory lane. ( Thanks to my 36 yr. old daughter giving me a few cannabis gummies. lol )
This gem was the first Zeppelin song that my dad introduced me to in the 80s. Its 2024 and now my sons are rocking Zeppelin
Que show...uma herança pra sempre...uma joia de som verdadeiro
There's music, good music, classics, masterpieces...and Led Zeppelin
can we just take a second to appreciate the bass player John Paul Jones? He keeps the groove going this whole song
We will never see 4 better musicians united into one band. Every one of them was in the top 5 all time on their instruments. So glad I was around during those years.
Too bad the youth of today won't be able to see Zeppelin live.I could feel the force of the sound hitting me and couldn't hear for 2 days.It was f___ing great.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is the greatest band of all time ❤❤❤❤
Led Zeppelin's Madison Square is the greatest rock performance in human history ☮️
Listening to Led Zeppelin makes me just plain happier than any other band.
It's magic music.
Oh yes.
Their sound is inimitable. Some have come close but no band in my estimation has captured the magic of Led Zeppelin.
Led there be the best
Jimi page + Heroin = Orgasmic Music
Four extremely talented musical artists who created their own fantasy world and invited us to join them simply by listening.
Yeah
They seem to good to be true. But are just like any other band, but their skill is just unmatched.
Greatest band of all time
No question in mine and everyone else’s opinion.
we are lucky to have heard them
One of the best musical observations I’ve ever read 🎸 Rock and Roll!
I never tire of listening to LZ. No other band is so enjoyable, song after song.
I always thought this solo was one of Jimmy’s best. Masterpiece on all levels!
Its up there for sure. never paid alot of attention to this song. You have a point.
1973 is when LZ was at the top of their game. Nothing else really compares.
The people can compile as many lists of great rock bands. Led Zep will always come out as number one. Greatest band ever.

Yep. There are good bands and there are great bands; there are excellent bands and exceptional bands; there are elite bands and there are iconic bands...

Turning 50 this year. I feel that.
The Zep always makes me feel good. The memories and the people.
23 year old here. I look around at people around your age who got to live through these days and I just think of all the experiences you guys all got to have compared to people my age and younger nowadays. You guys honestly probably got the best of the very best of all the times and places you could be born in as a human being in all of human history. Even though I never got to live those days, I'm glad they existed because they're a standard of what we should be holding the modern world to now. It seems like life back then took much better care of the soul vs nowadays
This is Jimmy Page in '73 when he was at the top of his game. Powerful and melodic and beautifully structured. Wish I could go back in time and watch it all.
So true!!!
Amen.
❤
Yes indeed!
WOW.
A collection of four geniuses that make up the GREATEST rock band of all time. John Paul Jones, the guy always in the background, must have contributed more to a band than any other bassist in history.
Some people call Jimmy "Sloppy" i call him ROCK N' ROLL !
the natural flow and vibe is what Rock N Roll is all about.
well I would reply to that, as they dont even grasp the things he does , the stuff he plays. If you really wanna learn, and are a guitar player, try do a decent exact cover of this and good luck.... ;)
I would take Page's slop over Vai or Satriani's virtuoso garbage nonsense any day of the week 🎶
The dude could come up with note after note after note. We all know the intro is one of the most famous of all time and my personal favorite. How in the hell did he come up with it? Say Fellas, I was playing around last night and came up with this intro in about a minute, what do you all think? This is why he is considered one of the absolute best. Sloppy? I've watched hundreds of covers of this song, 9 times out of ten they can play the intro good, but can't ever seem to get the tempo right. Sloppy my ass.
Anyone that calls Jimmy sloppy is certainly no guitarist. He is without a doubt the most incredible guitarist/composer of of gui
Jimmy Paige is the most prolific and epic guitarist/composer in our worlds history
Enough Zeppelin?

The respect between the band members is salient! When Page wants to do his thing the rest of the band steps down and pays homage!
This was when all 4 of them were at their strongest but balanced with expertise.
Sometimes I actually wonder if I'm imagining that Led Zeppelin existed , they are that good .
Many dreams come true......
Nice!!@@user-zk9bl9pm8h
This song is why I play guitar. My dad would play it on guitar and I just couldn’t get over it, I had to learn to play it myself.
It’s one of the first really great rock songs I learned. My brother had the record and it took me a long time to figure out the intro. This was way before RUclips.
Your dad used to play it too huh?
Yep! Lmao it was that one song that would take the most amount of time to learn but was so worth it. Beautifully executed by page. Alittle upset that they didn’t include the full version of the song like on Spotify
AWESOME!!!! Bonzo is the reason I play drums 🎸🥁🤟✌️😊
This is why I didn’t bother trying😅
My 21 year old son just walked in and heard this. He was pretty much blown away.

Now, I am 46 years old. The concert was in 1973. 50 years have passed. Why do I love these old concerts, although even in my life I could not count on the fact that I would ever be able to visit them? And yes - Led Zeppelin, for me have always been the BEST!
From Russia with love!
I was fortunate enough to see them in concert in 1976. I can't begin to put into words how magical it was on that day. I speak of it often to this day.
I agree!
How can we be nostalgic for a day we never lived?
Russia, get out of Ukraine!

Greatest Rock Band ever
I'm now their age - 70s - and I still rock to their music. Page's guitar get this old girl going!
Same here! I've loved them since I first saw them in concert, as a warm-up act, at 16. Yes, unbelievably, they warmed up for Vanilla Fudge (remember them?),but not for long!
Now 70, I still love them, at full blast, of course! They were the greatest!
Almost 70 here - have loved them forever… I hope I pass listening to them.
I'm 81 and still can't get enough Led Zep. 4 guys making the incredibly complex music of a 50 piece orchestra plus something else beyond....😮😮
Jimmyyyyyyyy!
no shame in that- we had the best music- no one can ever argue that

March 1975, Seattle Center Arena. A group of friends 2:12 from University of Idaho. I was a sophomore with a crush on the guy who spearheaded the trip. Waited outside in the rain for hours, then a melee when the doors opened… amazing no one was crushed! Great concert with a classic irreplaceable band.

The tone of those original Les Paul's is magical. Bonzo's drums are beautifully tuned as well. These guys KNEW they were the dogs bollocks! Brilliant. From '69 to '75 they RULED 😎
That's thee Les Paul that Joe Walsh gave Jimmy Page all those years ago

Fantastic! I love Jimmy's style! He's always right on the edge of disaster!
Loved your comment só to the point 👍☺️🙏❤️🌈 the quality of this video is amazing and it shows the reactions of JPJ to JP solo: at one point trying to make sense of the direction he’s taking and eventually smiling of rejoice on he’s pulling it back, so amazing what a band! Some good musicians have argued that Page’s improvising style is unique in a sense that he is more like a riff-maker, I see him pulling ideas from jazz (especially free jazz but a lot from John MacLaughlin Mahavishnu Orchestra) to draw his way through the harmony building loads of rhythmic patterns on the way (masterfully followed by Bonzo while JPJ holds the groove), to me his great solos aren’t like any other soloist (either jazz or rock) because he can rewrite the song and bring the whole band and the public with him. I just love it to bits ❤
I like that, and might have to steal it, lol
@@RamblinJer 😂👍🏼👊🏼🤘🏼
that's a good summation...he's so sloppy that i expect him to shit the bed, but yet, he still pulls it off...
He actually said almost the same thing as a quote, but I could only find it in Italian. You could translate it with google: "Ho vissuto rischiando. Mi è semplicemente impossibile essere prudente.
Danzare sull'orlo dell'abisso: è così che si deve vivere."
Song Remains the Same arguably the best live rock album ever.
A time when rock concerts were surreal experiences that stuck with you for a lifetime..

LED ZEPPELIN is the BEST band EVER!
The bass and drum work on the solos from this show are just so godly and it’s criminal it’s not talked about more. Page absolutely destroys these solos but the bass and drums are nearly equal.
nothing compares - in a league of their own
Nearly equal???
More like absofuckingloutely equal.
Totally agree! As a bass player in a 3-piece, I love when the guitar player feels the groove like Page did at the beginning of the solo, before he goes off and does his thing. A good guitarist will recognize a killer groove by the bass & drums, give them space while joining in a complimentary accompanying way.
That JP guitar tone... wow!! My ears can chew on that tone forever and the sweet juice will never run out!!!
I was thinking the same thing. That is the Les Paul in the middle position with both pickups out of phase. (If you’re interested) That guitar tone is very unique to Jimmy Page.

I'm pretty sure Jimmy Page was born with a guitar in his hands, and I'm saying this as someone who plays, damn he's good, but they all were, and together it was perfection manifested, something that will never be surpassed.

Jimmy's solo is one of his best. It just flows up and down and keeps going.
Led Zeppelin threw down the gauntlet. No other Music entity can touch this iconic legendary Rock Group. Led Zeppelin is in a class all by itself with Record Album sales of 350 Million and rising. Robert Plant is the best front man ever. Jimmy Page is the best guitarist ever. John Bonham is the best drummer ever. Led Zeppelin was more than a band. They were a happening.
