It'd be really easy to pack some fibreglass tent poles and a tarp. You wouldn't even need the poles, but one or two poles would make it so that water would be less likely to pool in the canopy above you. Option 2: You've already got your helmet and leathers! :P
I just saw your video from 2012....the actual product is very nice...looks like you have some padding in the first one, but this is acceptable if you carry an airmattress and it should sleep very well.
This model has a thin dense foam covered with carpet on the bunk panels. But plenty of room to store air mattress, bunk pads, memory foam, whatever one would like!

Would like to help build them and get one for myself. Got lots of experience building things, cabinets etc. reliable active senior with Honda magna.😊
