you could even put a long handle on that thing and tow it by hand like a suitcase. great practical design. you could even have another folding section from the center to the side to make it a double bed.
Great idea, I hope you get a canopy sorted and have a ton of success! Have you thought about a flip down over the entry side so you can have just a tarp that flaps over.
This is the most efficient and clever small camper I have ever seen! Guy should get engineering award and exclusive patent! Excellent video too. Never says a word! One thing though...rain cover?
Love the simplicity of this. I saw another that collapsed sideways, and dozens more that fold open. I've been looking for a design I can tow behind an electric pedal trike where I can just ride to the lake and camp out without having to set up a tent and all that nonsense. One could easily frame this in steam bent slats ripped down from straight timber glued and stapled to 1/8" plywood or corrugated plastic. It looks like you're using that plastic paneling used in bathrooms to weatherproof the plywood. . Only the bed has to be sturdy. The pipe inside of pipe idea is legit. You could use one leg from an engine hoist for that. That accordian bed.. dude it doesn't get much better than that. This same idea can be upsized for a car.. Looks like you have a mosquito net. All you need is some kind of tarpulain. Oiled cloth, thick plastic, or vinyl.. something. I hope you can do something with this. Not many people actually make it through the patent office, let alone ever turning it into a marketable product. I hope you at least take pride in the fact that you have inspired almost a million viewers. Thank you for sharing this wonderful idea!
Who builds these? If they could make the middle solid after pulling it out...like fold up panels... This is genius!!! I Love it! It costs more than I could think to afford. I was designing (on paper) Bicycle Gypsy micro homes...for pulling behind a Bicycle. Yours is light weight. I couldn't get things this light weight. Patent the build or every one will build it!😇 For making money, contract yourself out to build these..people can sponsor to pay for a build for a homeless person. But you'll definitely get some interest from motorcyclists too. TWO ways to Profit. Maybe Three, Mountain Bicycling Enthusiasts do camp excursions. They would likely buy too.. Very neat Build! 😇
+crimsontiger6 Hi. I pulled the proto in the video over to the coast with a 650 thumper. Over the mountains at 70. So lite. Pics of new production model on face book, "Idaho Bedroll.
I think that is really nice. Perhaps one could put a small tarp over the center so one could have some privacy whiles sleeping? I think it could be pulled by a scooter (not the tiny ones but the highway capable ones). I wonder if it could be widened a little and a little longer so that a sub-compact car could tow it?
Very nice. I think I would forgo the electrics and instead have a fold over tent thing so that you can actually camp out, else it is open to the elements . If you had rods along both sides, in a 3 sided rectangle (like those motorbike covers you can get) then it could fold out over the top and then you would just add the fly sheet or even have that permanently fitted on the poles.
Why wasnt the camera a little closer when he opened up to show a better shot of what its about. Looks cool from a distance but sure would like to view it up close thanx for posting it🍙
according to me no one can diss like it cz this is for bikers and one who dont travel they dont what this video is made for however i loved this video hats off sir
that is really cool all it's missing is a tarp or tent for when it rains or you sleep in and the sun blazes down. the popup back kitchen in neat too. when you get old sleeping on the ground is a bitch.
I know this is probably a prototype but it would be nice if you had a snap on cover for the opening that is created when you extend it. Nice idea, well thought out. Hope you succeed.
I absolutely love this idea! Very simple. Good job man!
I have followed this from the beginning and I still love it. Maybe someday I will be fortunate enough to own one.
love the concept of the stretch! i think y'all have something great in your camp rig... best of luck and happy trails....
Wow! I love it. It just goes to show that we don't need the huge footprint that we think we do. I totally scaled back and love my small home.
Either my sound is fucked up or I just watched a biker mime.
well played. lol
paddie3535 "😑😑😑😑😑"
THE PRODUCT SELLS ITSELF!!!..... right on! what a GREAT t.v. commercial this would be! NO talking! life is simple! :-)
Literally a few seconds to set up. This is genius. Now I want one for comfy road-side coffee making in the early morning
I like it! Thinking of a similar design for bicycle camping.
you could even put a long handle on that thing and tow it by hand like a suitcase. great practical design. you could even have another folding section from the center to the side to make it a double bed.
Totally genius man! I love it! The Idaho Bedroll!
I've been looking for different ideas on how to make a teardrop trailer smaller and this by far takes the cake.
That is pure genius! I like that a lot! Can't beat the ease-of-set-up!
in 1982, in my 20's, my brother and i motorcycled from san francisco to newfoundland...and back! sure wish i had one of these, then!
How can anyone dislike this?
You Sir are sorted how I now want one of those little beasty trailers!
Dislikes are from Hindus and Muslims.
I wouldn't say I don't like this trailer my issue is that there is no protect from the weather .
@cgwworldministries Eh?

Really well done. Maybe a similar bicycle trailer design for me. Rock on!
That's awesome - the way trailers should be for motorcycles - compact & ergonomic
Great idea, I hope you get a canopy sorted and have a ton of success! Have you thought about a flip down over the entry side so you can have just a tarp that flaps over.
Nice Kawindian! Trailer is cool too! You are an amazing inventor...great job...makes me wanna take up riding again!
This is fantastic I would love it
Nice Drifter dude! I like the rig you're towing too!
AWSOME JOB Brother! Praying for you and your business to be successful! Stay Strong and Carry On! Love and God Bless! Uncle Jeff!
Wow....this was posted almost 7 years ago....any word on its production?
Well Chadd,I thought -this is going to be just another nutty idea - - - but got to say I love it ! - brilliant - and thank you for sharing!
Wow this is great love this idea the very best l have seen wonderful cheers from Australia
This is the most efficient and clever small camper I have ever seen! Guy should get engineering award and exclusive patent! Excellent video too. Never says a word! One thing though...rain cover?
This is cool. The possibilities with this basic design are many. Thanks for this vid
You have redefined the term "slide out." Very cool, efficient design.

pretty clever and cool accordian pull- out function. I imagine some kind of four pole thing to go over entire set-up in walmart parking lots
The top is also a one-hand operation.
Very cool! Brilliant!
someone needs to now try to design a double bed version in the same compact space.
Simple product. Simple presentation. Very nice.

Patent US8632119 B2
😇
The middle is solid. Your bike cart is uber-pretty.
😳
I think there would be interest from those who have highway capable scooters (I have seen some from Suzuki, Honda, etc).
Excellent, simple design. Rigging a simple roof with tent light material and an aluminum support in the center would shed the rain and keep out bugs.
Yep, has a top.
@@timmazac5082tienes los planos?
This is awesome. Looks light enough for my Ducati Scrambler to tow.
+crimsontiger6 Hi. I pulled the proto in the video over to the coast with a 650 thumper. Over the mountains at 70. So lite. Pics of new production model on face book, "Idaho Bedroll.
Didn't realize u may have additional bikes to haul behind it.....White good neutral color....Best Wishes if u are going into business...
genial your idea ,verry good job !
i have also a drifter 800, and will try to build similar cargo/camper .
I think that is very ingenious. It seems like it could be pulled by not only a motorcycle but also very small cars and scooters.
Neat! I like it!!!
This is a thing of beauty! I hope to see them in production!
+deadblood0 Thanks.
+deadblood0 Yea for ten thousand million pounds-dollars!
Better to make you own I think!
well there u go. excellent A bug netting could b added and maybe a tarp with a screen window
That is really neat. Fantastic idea love it.
Needs a connectable canopy big enough to sit up in, for inclement weather. Very nice idea though, looks good, nice and light too. Well done.
Great idea except what do you do when it is raining ? Do you have a cover to keep dry ?
I think that is really nice. Perhaps one could put a small tarp over the center so one could have some privacy whiles sleeping? I think it could be pulled by a scooter (not the tiny ones but the highway capable ones).
I wonder if it could be widened a little and a little longer so that a sub-compact car could tow it?
This is the best, most aerodynamic, simple design on RUclips.Well done.Does it have a top ?
yes
i enjoyed this tnx
Thats a great idea I love its simplicity
Interesting idea. Nice job!

that is one cool trailer.
When I get to the point I'm willing to pull a trailer this will be my first choice.
Congratulations on a fantastic design.
thanks
this would be ideal for me. would love to see this hit production and stay under $1K.
running gear kit, build your own shell, 2k
soon
Nice. I need something I can tow behind my Vulcan 900. This could work. Keep us posted on progress please.
I pull behind a Vulcan 800 and a Savage 650 it is so light.
saw your thread on advrider man this trailer is awesome
This is one nice-arse trailer!!!
Love these ol' silent movies... lol

+Ladonna Steele ... Thank you.
Good setup for us who are minimalists out here!

The all metal galley has a drain in the bottom to help scrub it "Bear!" clean when needed.
Why wasnt the camera a little closer when he opened up to show a better shot of what its about.
Looks cool from a distance but sure would like to view it up close thanx for posting it🍙
Eu tava procurando esse Stilo de vídeo ❤
even a pop up top, like they have on caravans :)
also very nice little trailer
Cool. I can see myself making a light weight version for a bicycle.
don't use it unless electric brakes are installed. It's a must if your on wet roads.
Damn nice minimalist rig. Are you selling these kits yet?
Great, but what do you do when it starts raining or the mosquitos or no-see ums start eatin' on ya?
I just found this too...almost 7 years late...haven't seen anymore of its development or it being for sale.
Now THIS is innovation! Nice!
pure genius.
according to me no one can diss like it cz this is for bikers and one who dont travel they dont what this video is made for however i loved this video hats off sir

How does that seam work in a rain storm? It looks like a bed wetter.
Excellent and convenient have produced these yet?
I will take one. I love the idea of saving money and living life my way.
idahobedroll.com
Looks great
Good for a weekend trip if you have accurate weather forecasters in the area.
Okay idea, except when it rains!
Good idea man, far out!
thanks
I Love It !! And it appears that this trailer can even be pulled with an electric bike, golf cart, ATV or UTV :) When will it be ready for purchase?
that's very useful. well done!
Brilliant!
My mind is blown!
*Brother, thanks for the video! Did you do it yourself? Maybe share the drawings?)*
Clever design!
That is totally awesome
excellent dezyn =) very handee =) i think about it tu ~ urz iz great ^^)
I mean, I like the idea. But do you just have no cover from the elements?
freakin cool as hell"
Love it!
awesome!
I know this is probably a prototype but it would be nice if you had a snap on cover for the opening that is created when you extend it. Nice idea, well thought out. Hope you succeed.
Mike LRight. Need protection from rain and mosquitoes. Shouldn't be too hard to incorporate.
Mike L Go to Facebook "Idaho Bedroll" to see top on production proto.
Thought i was watching in the night garden. This guys got the mannerisms of igle pigle. Nice idea though
Sam Dowie would say hes just not a r.u.b.e
Damn! Nice! Job!
That’s a cool camper
what does the trailer weight? and how many CC is the bike?
Looks great all cant be as good as the Mr Lee lol greta ideal.
In San Francisco you could rent that for $2000/month
yep
I can’t see any roof :-S. It’s a beauty definitely, however without a rood I wouldn’t even think about owning one.
that is so cool
Well, gang, my ducks are all in a row and I'm shopping for an SBA startup loan. First run of 80 coming soon.
But is there any protection from the weather?
