you could even put a long handle on that thing and tow it by hand like a suitcase. great practical design. you could even have another folding section from the center to the side to make it a double bed.

  • @reforgedcriterion1471

Love the simplicity of this. I saw another that collapsed sideways, and dozens more that fold open. I've been looking for a design I can tow behind an electric pedal trike where I can just ride to the lake and camp out without having to set up a tent and all that nonsense. One could easily frame this in steam bent slats ripped down from straight timber glued and stapled to 1/8" plywood or corrugated plastic. It looks like you're using that plastic paneling used in bathrooms to weatherproof the plywood. . Only the bed has to be sturdy. The pipe inside of pipe idea is legit. You could use one leg from an engine hoist for that. That accordian bed.. dude it doesn't get much better than that. This same idea can be upsized for a car.. Looks like you have a mosquito net. All you need is some kind of tarpulain. Oiled cloth, thick plastic, or vinyl.. something. I hope you can do something with this. Not many people actually make it through the patent office, let alone ever turning it into a marketable product. I hope you at least take pride in the fact that you have inspired almost a million viewers. Thank you for sharing this wonderful idea!

Who builds these? If they could make the middle solid after pulling it out...like fold up panels... This is genius!!! I Love it! It costs more than I could think to afford. I was designing (on paper) Bicycle Gypsy micro homes...for pulling behind a Bicycle. Yours is light weight. I couldn't get things this light weight. Patent the build or every one will build it!😇 For making money, contract yourself out to build these..people can sponsor to pay for a build for a homeless person. But you'll definitely get some interest from motorcyclists too. TWO ways to Profit. Maybe Three, Mountain Bicycling Enthusiasts do camp excursions. They would likely buy too.. Very neat Build! 😇

  • @thomasleemullins4372

I think that is really nice. Perhaps one could put a small tarp over the center so one could have some privacy whiles sleeping? I think it could be pulled by a scooter (not the tiny ones but the highway capable ones).
I wonder if it could be widened a little and a little longer so that a sub-compact car could tow it?

Very nice. I think I would forgo the electrics and instead have a fold over tent thing so that you can actually camp out, else it is open to the elements . If you had rods along both sides, in a 3 sided rectangle (like those motorbike covers you can get) then it could fold out over the top and then you would just add the fly sheet or even have that permanently fitted on the poles.
