@@Riire it was a good little change up, even if it's just this once. Like in Fight Fire with Fire a couple of months ago where he didn't do the stops in the beginning riff!
@MitchellFrew contrary to all my comments shitting on Lars. I do really love Metallica's first 5 albums. Even the Black Album. Lars could elevate Metallica if he wanted to. But he doesn't care about his own abilities. He himself has said so. I just think that's a bad attitude to have for any musician. For the most part, James, Kirk, and Rob kill it every night. I love Rob. Saw him play with Ozzy in 2003, his stage presence is next level.
Metallica will FOREVER be the Kings of heavy metal! Their "Black" album was what got me hooked on metal when I was 13 years old & that love affair will go on until the day I die 🤘. The first Metallica song that I ever heard back on the MuchMusic Power Hour. Thanks to Much hosts for introducing me to Metallica: and thank you to YOU - METALLICA, for the last 37 years since that moment.
even though hes all grey now, I wish James would grow his hair long again, just to see this song performed live like it was in the original music video, with James headbanging out to the guitars at the end. It still sounds awesome live all these years later.

Can't tell if this is true or a dream
Deep down inside I feel to scream
This terrible silence stops me
Now that the war is through with me
I'm waking up, I cannot see
That there's not much left of me
Nothing is real but pain now
Hold my breath as I wish for death
Oh please, God, wake me
Back in the womb it's much too real
In pumps life that I must feel
But can't look forward to reveal
Look to the time when I'll live
Fed through the tube that sticks in me
Just like a wartime novelty
Tied to machines that make me be
Cut this life off from me
Hold my breath as I wish for death
Oh please, God, wake me
Now the world is gone, I'm just one
Oh God, help me
Hold my breath as I wish for death
Oh please, God, help me
Darkness imprisoning me
All that I see
Absolute horror
I cannot live
I cannot die
Trapped in myself
Body my holding cell
Landmine has taken my sight
Taken my speech
Taken my hearing
Taken my arms
Taken my legs
Taken my soul
Left me with life in hell
