True. But I would kill to be in a mosh pit with Metallica playing The Judas Kiss live again (just like in 2009 during the DM tour). Man that title is such a goof old school vibe Thrash metal song!
That's Metallica. They need to focus and breath slowly. Not rock out!...but I do hear you. That doesn't dissuade us earth-bound people from listening to great Heavy Metal songs.
Right? The part where he was REALLY on fire was the riff right before business picks up, it’s my favorite part of the song, cause then you know all hells gonna break loose
I am amazed by James's voice, getting better and better like a fine wine, show after show as Kirk, Lars and Robert.... Metallica is still sooo good! I am proud as is my preferred metal band!
I was 10 years old when i first heard Metallica in 1986. The first song i head was battery and iv been hooked ever since can't wait to see them here in Australia November 2025 i will be 49
All Nightmare Long and The Day That Never Comes were my introduction to Metallica, seeing them play this live at my first Metallica show brought me back to those first times listening to them! And I’m so glad they decided to upload this song from the show I got to attend! 🤘
I was in 8th grade when this album came out. My English teacher put me on to it. Then I remember seeing them on the world magnetic tour my freshman year of high school. The memories… now I’m 30 still absolutely loving it!
I brought two of my nephews to both the Friday and Sunday shows. It was their first concert ever. After the Sunday show, I told them “Well, boys, now every concert you ever go to will be competing for second place because how the fuck do you top two days of Metallica?”
Hell of an uncle right there. And how the fuck do you top two days of Metallica. Led zeppelin would be the only way and they don’t exist anymore. So you don’t.
What makes this song special is slow acoustic part with slow melodic solo and fast heavy part with fast solo . We saw this in “fade to black “ , “one” . It seems like they came back to their roots with this song . That’s why it’s so special . Hardwired and 72Seasons both have bangers , but for me this is their best work since 2000s
This is great Metallica.. I can feel the energy... They heal me... they are monsters gods of metal... They're unique... Love and respect forever 🙏👏🙌💥🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
I waited over 15 years to hear this song live. It has been my favorite Metallica song forever, and getting to see this live literally changed and completed my childhood ❤
I was at this show, y’all really did crush it. Last time I had the chance to see y’all was in Denver when Axl Rose threw a temper tantrum and James burned the shit out of his arm. Thanks for taking over Minneapolis for the weekend and the $40,000 generous donation you made to People Serving People a great homelessness organization scored Uber cool points for y’all. Well done boys.
My first Metallica concert! Such an unreal experience.. it was hard to soak it in and rock out at the same time dude!!! So glad I bought tickets a few years ago
My heroes, Kirk's virtuosity, James's captivating voice, Lars' boundless energy and Rob's quiet strength. No band has this power over me. Metallica I love you...
I got to witness this two times live, back in 2009 at the target center during the death magnetic support tour with gojia and the sword, and on this day the august 18th no repeat weekend. this song is a banger no matter what anyone says. Sure it was two vastly different venues, but the spirit is the same. Keep on rockin' ya'll.
Yes. And speaking of rotation, only 48 different songs where played during the tour so far (which is quite few when you consider they play 30 different songs each weekends on their x2 night shows), so the rotation has been quite slim for this tour (which started in spring 2023). If they don't rotate more songs and keep playing always the same one, then it's very likely that 3/4 of their discography will end up never played live again... They have something like 30 songs that they either have never played live or haven't played live in over 20 years (when it's not over 30), and almost half of their discography hasn't been played live a single time within the ten last years and each 2 to 6 months that passes and this list keeps growing. If they don't start rotating more songs on their tours despite having way more free time to rehearse between shows (less than a 16 shows per year, and at least 1 week between two different shows) while the number of song they play per night has never been so low (no more than 15), then we can all forget the deep cuts and even some way more famous songs: Metallica is just going to play Enter Sandman, MOP, Nothing Else Matters, One, Seek & Destroy and all the classics with just a few of the latest album song. All the rest is just going to fall in olblivion...
Outstanding track! The video quality and cinematography from Metallica are exceptional. It's incredible that this level of production is available for free... truly mind-blowing.
When I listen to "Day" it makes me feel like it's "One" but part two. And yes, it's the continuation of that ballad. Listening to "Day" on Tour, it brings back melancholy in my memories of my days back + when I survived the 2020 pandemic. An excellent ballad And considered one of my favorites :) along with "All Nightmare Long", "The Unforgiven 3", "Broken Beat & Scarred" & "That Was Just Your Life". Fun fact: Cynaide was previously the most played song on Death Magnetic, now The Day That Never Comes is the 1st song played more of Death Magnetic.
“When I listen to ‘Day’ it makes me feel like it’s ‘One’ but part two.” That’s exactly what the Metallica community calls this song 😂 If One is called “One,” then The Day That Never Comes is called “Two”
I was there. Great fuckin time with great fucking friends. I was also at the weekend before in Chicago on night one with my brother. Great fuckin time with great fuckin family. I will forever cherish both of those nights. My first two concerts.
I saw them with my wife and son in 2019 in Prague, Czech republic, and The Day That Never Comes was absolutely amazing performence after long time we didn't see this song live 🤘🤘🤘
One of their top ten songs for me. I was fortunate enough to attend S&M2 and was just praying they’d play this song. One of the best nights of my life. This rendition was amazing too
This is one of the few songs that really shows to me how James's voice, while inarguably less metal than it used to be, has absolutely gained more control, pitch and general technique
is it me or is Lars actually making justice to this song? I mean, well, I've been dreaming this song would be played "this" way! Lars is getting tastier and more controlled in his playing, and it makes this song like brand new, old wine! Oh! And the band is tighter as well! Good old wine indeed!!
Metallica is the best band in the world, they make me feel an incredible feeling that no other band makes me feel. I love you Metallica thanks for everything ❤
We NEED All Nightmare Long live again!!!!! That song Is heavy and fast !!

Death Magnetic is brutally underrated. Bangers all around.
It's probably Meticalla's best album since the Black Album (imo)
And Hard Wired to Self-destruct as well
love it so much too!
Absolutely agree 👍
With All nightmare long one of there best songs.
Pity about the shit production though
@@StephenHunts
the re-mastered version on guitar hero (at the time, whichever one it was) absolutely fucking SLAPS.
This song plays so well live. I’m glad they’re playing it again
Hadn't heard this song in a hot minute, almost forgot just how damn good it was. 🤘
Right??
Viaje desde Colombia para estar ahí, valió toda la pena del mundo
I don't care what anybody says, these guys sound better than ever! James' voice is just amazing now! ❤

Indeed specially the intro. We feel that feeling of melancholy

I can relate to this song. Made me cry.
I'm here my friend😢
I was in Minneapolis for this. My first Metallica concert. There aren't words to describe it.
Waiting for the one
The day that never comes
When they stand up and feel the warmth
But the sunshine never comes, no
No, the sunshine never comes🤘🤘🤘
Night 2 in Minneapolis had most of my absolute favorite Metallica songs, I’m so glad that weekend was my first two concerts ever!
Great story 👏
I was there for both nights, and it was an awesome experience for me. Metallica puts on a great show still to this day 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘.
@@MitchellAckerman I was in the pit on the Friday show and on the rails in the Sunday show.

One of my top 3 favorite Metallica songs
Same specially in the Death Magnetic

Yes, me too
It’s definitely in my top 10. I love the feeling it brings! Maybe in my top five even.
I like their live performances better than the album versions they bring a whole other dimension on stage, rock on Metallica
I was in 8th grade when this album came out. My English teacher put me on to it. Then I remember seeing them on the world magnetic tour my freshman year of high school. The memories… now I’m 30 still absolutely loving it!
one of the best Metallica intros❤
Agreed pal and top 5 of my favorite ballads
Do you mean the prerecorded bit? Because if yes, no.
I love the intro so much, you should watch/listen to the one they did in Nimes France.
❤
These new intros are killer!
