Uk, truth be told I was kinda questioning how I like your videos, Now after god knows how many vids I’ve watched from you, I rather enjoy them. Keep up the great work brother 👍
I've been watching your videos for the past week or so and love them! I like how informative you are and because of it I am now buying a grip of products to start taking care of my cars in this sort of fashion. You should do a video on hard water spots because I already know with the way my car looks at the moment and how long it has been since I have even done a basic wash I am going to have a problem with my hard water spots on both the paint and the glass.
Great stuff Jeremy. Yvan will be glad to see you using his products. He will also give you a hard time for using more than 1 spray of the Gold Standard Polish. I am guilty as well. 😋
I love the DIY product line as well. When I do a ceramic coating though I use two different towels for wiping off, different colors so I know which one is for the initial wipe and which one is to buff to that max shine.
Lower speed start and adjust up as needed til it’s comfortable. I use a rupes for polishing and the palm sander for applying the APP. When using the APP use a very low speed but fast enough where it’s not draggy.
When you open a ceramic bottle, can it be reused if you don’t coat the entire vehicle on the same day? I have a large SUV and would like to do a section at a time. Not a marathon. Thanks for the videos. Great work.
@@HawaiiDetailing my goal is( I live in so cal) but to split the vehicle in in four sections and have it done in month. I actually and going to use the cerkote , second version before it gets cold.
That is a great idea!! Do you drive the vehicle in between coatings? I patch worked the polishing stage because I used a DA polisher and could only do so much in a day. Now, I'm ready to coat, but Ive noticed a very thin layer of dust has accumulated in the interim. It's in a garage, but a dusty garage. Did you ever have this issue? Im doing the best I can. Im going to "sponge bathe" the car with dilute rinseless, dry it, apply the panel prep and coating. I know this can introduce some scratching, but it's a 10 year old car that already looks a LOT better. Would love your input - thanks!!!
I would use the rinse less technique to clean the area safely before polishing or applying your coating. That way you don’t spend another hour washing the whole car again. Sounds like you have a good plan in place.
Hello, big fan of your vibe. I have a question about order of succession... 1. Compound 2. Polish 3. Mirror glaze/Brilliant glaze polish type enhancer 4. Wax coating 5. Polyseal/TW Ice Shine/303 graphene sealant type 6. APP 7. Ceramic coating What steps here would you omit/add here and how would you rearrange the order? Thank you for your time. Anyone who is experienced ... can you chime in please? I would appreciate some feedback. Thank you
Hi question; I would like to apply Ceramic coating on my car for the first time and never done before. Is a paint & glass polishing needed before ceramic coating? It’s a brand new car and have been driving around 700km 3 weeks old. I have ordered most products to detail wash my car for the first time. Thanks for all good content and tips how to clean a car properly!
Ceramics last soo long that its worth a light polish at least. I can not really recommend how much you need until you look under a light. New cars can be all marred up from the dealers wiping cheap products all over them to shine them up often times using the same microfiber towel to get 10 cars in a row. Use a light, ID the condition, Decide if it needs a polish, consider a light polish to get any light scratches and protection products off the paint, This will also almost certainly improve the shine and clear coat clarity, Prep & Apply the ceramic. That is what I recommend. Just know that if you do apply over bad paint you need to strip and prep the paint and any visible problems will be visible for a long time.
I bought a black SUV right off the lot about 4 months ago. After months of viewing videos and reading, I went ahead with the full monty - foam, rinse, then foam again to contact wash - this was followed by a chemical decon using an iron remover and a mechanical decon using a clay bar. At this stage alone, I could not believe the results!! The black SUV was actually metallic with beautiful flakes!! This was not apparent when I bought it. I then polished it and applied a ceramic coating. The results were phenomenal. The hardest part by far was the prep - applying the coating was not difficult. If you don't want to do the work, take it to a trusted detailer - I think brand new cars/trucks need this kind of treatment the most due to industrial fallout just transporting the vehicle, along with gosh knows what the dealer has put on it, along with many other factors. Sorry so lengthly. Im no pro, but if I, as a women in her mid 60's can do the prep work, so can you!!! Plus, I had a ton of fun watching the transformation...
Jeremy, is Koch Chemie active foam a solid alternative to green star with gsf?(basically the same thing?)Or would you lean to having the two to mix as needed…trying to be a minimalist
Yeah. I believe its similar. I am not shore the strength they have mixed? I am sure its more mellow than what I mixed but that is a good thing for routine washes. I was doing a heavy strip wash.
@@user-vf3rk8vp1z no swap it out with a new one after you have used it on a panel. You can clip and fold to get the most out of it but don’t use it a second time.
I got the problem please help. I spend money on Krenzler and foam canon. I test my house spigots and I got 4.2 gal per min (I don't know if that good or bad but pressure washer needs a lot less than that so I'm fine with that). I connected Krenzler to the dedicate outlet so plenty of juice. I was making sure there is no air bubbles in the lines. Long story short when I'm using 1.1 mm orifice my new pressure washer (same model like you have) is going up for approx. 2 seconds and loosing power for approx. 1 second and is going up again and down again. When I changed to 1.25mm everything is working fine but my foam is not thick and is heavy (2oz to 800 ml). Why my pressure washer have this oscillations when used with 1.1 mm? Why is unusable?
What model Kranzle do you have? What type of hose do you have? It is not recommended to use a 1.1 in a large volume GPM PW as it will force the pump to run really hard. Not sure what is going on here as it should not be surging either way.
Did you not watch the video? He addressed your concerns about decontamination. His vehicle is a “daily” driver but it’s also well maintained. Besides that, the polishing stage he performs is more than enough to decontaminate the paint … not possible to have a “half done job”. Like Jeremy says in the video, if you need further steps like claying or iron remover, do that. 😊😊😊
Hahaha. Yeah I got it when it came out but had to find time to do the full detail on my car. I did a massive wheels off detail. I only showed the coating so far but there is more.
Thanks. Yes for sure but there were some trouble areas around the door handles and various spots on the paint. This car spends a lot of time in parking lots. The wool made it fast and easy. The red pad cleaned up behind it nicely.
@@picsnics No. It’s not hard. You do have to prep the paint before applying a super long term product on top of it. Otherwise you will see the swirls and paint defects forever. If your paint is new or in great shape the polishing is just a touch up to get it looking the best it can.
Good tip with the gloves! I see so many detailers use caustic chemicals or high PH soaps and end up getting a burn/rash.. SAFETY MATTERS people especially you younger folks..
Uh oh you used 2 or 3 sprays of gold standard polish! Supposed to be 1! Lol jk! Obviously you know what you're doing. Great work and video! ❤ Question, how do you like the DIY polish and pads?
Thanks. Yes. I know Yvan would be bummed. Hahaha. I was doing large sections of the paint at a time so I used more polish. If you are doing a 2X2 section only a half spray is needed. The pads work great.
Thanks. I know what they say but when you are doing a whole panel at one time you need more polish. That is personal preference IMO. If you are doing a 2x2 square 1 small shot is enough. Thanks for watching
