I’m a pro detailer and I can tell you , 98% of the customers that want a ceramic coating detail , it takes some form of paint correction before the coating , I’ve seen new cars with scratches all over them. It will not be done in an hour by the time you wash /decon / clay /machine polish and coat it will take at minimum 4 to 5 hours n that is if the car is in pretty good condition. That’s why you get what you pay for. And a dark color like that was probably polished before this video otherwise your putting the ceramic coating over swirl marks n that will show up n and won’t be a proper job
I have just started researching all this and I’m just a novice at detailing a car and I thought the same thing. No way you Clay bar a car and not get to the swirls and scratches first! Thanks for the confirmation of what I thought
Yep this dudes timing is wayyyyy off as the other person mentioned a car especially the size of that jeep to pre-wash, decontamination, even a one step fine Polishing with a DA machine lay panel, then wipe and proper ceramic coating (what he used was a quick ceramic coating spray) and buffering will take a minimum of 4 to 6hrs
Paying attention to the way the light is hitting the jeep it was 100% polished at some point prior to this video because the light reflections are to crisp for a factory paint job. Factory is a lot more orange peal and more wavy
I only have praise for the 1 year and 2.5 year graphing ceramic spray coating. Everything about the product is perfection; from the user experience to shine and protection. I use it on everything; the paint, glass, plastic trim, mirrors, and wheels. Heck I think I even put it on the tailpipe. When you do it right and layer it, nothing will stick to the finish. I thank Adams for bringing this product to the marketplace. Hopefully this summer I get back into detailing as a hobby.
@@laurapalmerTDGE Sorry for the late reply. No streaks or smears. I use the Gray Adams applicator and the gray microfiber towel to remove. No issues whatsoever. For the price, the protection can't be beat.
I tried Adams graphene spray advanced and one week later I followed it up with the graphene detail spray, and I believe it's the best product I've ever used!
Just finish using Adam’s Spray Graphine on my new car (only10km) I had used this on my previous car and it lasted for 1.5 years - the age of tha car which i just traded. I claybared the car the day after i pick her up and then did the spray ceramic. Took me 4 hours and the car is parked in the garage curing. This video is the best on youhave done since I started using your product a few years ago.
I've been really happy with the Gold/2nd version of this. Use it on both our daily drivers now. Get almost 2 years out of it here in IL and through winters. I do use various drying aids throughout the year and usually do a sacrificial Ceramic liquid wax, which looks like that's no longer available before winter starts. Will probably switch to the Graphene liquid wax as a winter topper when that runs out. This ceramic spray works really well on both dailies that have plastic cladding. Way easier than the 'full' ceramics and high spots are a breeze. I usually use one short nap MF towel for initial wipe then follow with a 2nd of the same towel for anything that missed. 1st towel usually goes into the junk towel bin after doing this but 2nd towel washes out fine. However, neither become fully useless like full ceramic towels do.
Thank you for responding. What I’m trying to say is that if you take an old car and use your process to make it look gorgeous like that car then I would be extremely impressed. I have done that to several vehicles, including plumbing trucks that I purchased. I bought a Toyota forerunner 2003 and spent two days detailing it and painting, what was necessary. When I finished, I sent the picture back to the person that I bought it from. They were amazed he said if he could’ve gotten his detailer to look that good he never would’ve sold it. This is what I’m talking about. Thank you.
Wow, this video short-circuits my brain after seeing so many other videos for years from people who claim nothing but perfection. To be honest this is the type of 80/20 I'm fan of. Not much effort and good enough results. However, even to me, that looks like half-assing on prep and application. Not only is he not being thorough with the claying and application throughout the whole panel(s), but also his constant rubbing with the bare hands screams micro-scratches to me. I guess things have changed since I stepped away from being a garage fanatic for the last couple years.
Great Video I just received my Graphene advanced spray and Graphene detail spray also my surface prep today can't wait to use it. just waiting on my clay mitt.
Great video. Thanks. I have had 3 MOHs procedures for skin cancer. Ceramic is added to glass tint to reduce UV transmission. We are not allowed to put even clear tint on our windshields in Georgia. Will ceramic coating on our windshield reduce UV transmission? If so, how much? Thanks.
You just simplified all the torment in my mind about ceramic coating by BMW. I always wondered about getting the ceramic coat on the trim. Going to use the exact exact technique and see how it turns out!
1- Clayed my wife’s caddy 2- light compound 3-polish Looks great Can I put this coating on top of that for super gloss and Protection ? Thanks Also purchasing new white truck canyon Denali should I just coat everything new to keep it that way ? What do you recommend after a wash ? Some type of ceramic detailed ? Thanks
As I understand it, the graphene shampoo is not intended to leave or add any additional protection, it just aids in degreasing to help maintain the existing coating
It does leave some sio2 (ceramic) on the finish when you use the shampoo. It’s so little it’s barely measurable. It’s honestly gone in one wash. The detail spray will leave a little more. That will stay on the paint for about a month
I just washed and waxed (Spray) my F150 yesterday. Very Careful with the Claybar and it took me 6 hours to do the truck. No Ceramic coating. No scratches or swirl marks but that could be the wax hiding it. Is it worth it to trust someone to do the strip, DL polish and coat the Truck and How much product will I be using?
I’ve had good luck with the Advanced Graphene product in the bottle for two vehicles (2 yrs on one, 1 on other), but the longevity of the spray product on another vehicle was lacking…only 5-6 months. I understand the spray product is not designed to last as long. Due to the time it takes to prep a vehicle, the bottled product may be a better choice.
I don’t believe the spray is rated for that long…only the Advanced in the small bottle. Either way, I’ve had poor luck with the spray for longevity, but the version in small bottle has worked well.
I used your Graphene Ceramic Coating™ Advanced per there instructions and it left some streaks about 4 inches wide that are visible in the sun, but not in the garage. What should I do?
Great video, great products! If I already have a graphene ceramic coating on my car so my question, is it better/worse/or no difference to use your graphene ceramic spray or boost to use as toppers to prolong my coating? Which one would you recommend?
My Adam’s Graphene Ceramic product turned into chunky jelly over the winter. Did the VOC chemicals escape through the plastic bottle? Can it still be used?
Some are intimidated by the small bottles. The spray coating focuses on ease of use. It has a 4 hour cure time before being exposed to the elements. First wash after a week is just fine.
One thing that wasn't mentioned here but in the instructions, no driving for 24 hours. Says to keep water off of it and "keep it out of the elements for 24 hours after application to allow it to cure". By keeping it out of the elements, I take that to mean, out of nature, i.e. in the garage. If I'm wrong, some clarification in the instructions would be nice.
You can ceramic coat the PPF immediately and it is recommended. The ceramic coating will make it much easier to clean reducing the amount of dirt and grime and in turn will reduce the chance for scratching the PPF.
Man, as somebody who has used this a lot- nothing bugs me more than lack of PPE. It works well but there’s some really nasty/dangerous solvents in there.
Project farm just done a review on Adams ceramic coating and their product stood up better than the 11 others that he reviewed. The have a new customer with me. I hope they have their products at the new Napa that just opened up.
Wrong why would you use wax before coating smh ceramic is way better then wax. First you gotta wash it but with strip soap and use iron remover. Gotta re,I’ve all issues paint before anything. After you clay bar entire car after you determine how bad the paint is and check the clear then paint correct then polish then after that you spray prep spray remove all polish and stuff of paint leaves it clean and ready to apply a coating
You should prep with a spray to remove all waxes before doing a true ceramic coating, a true ceramic will not bond to the paint if a wax is remaining on the vehicle.
Hold on spring into the wheel well and having the graphene fall onto the tire is not good and then also spraying the graphene tire spray onto the actual tread is not good for traction. This is especially true for high performance vehicles.
Yes, it was fast to clay at the jeep but I noticed you were so fast you missed a lot of the surface. I use clay and it does wonders but I make sure I get the whole surface.
isnt claybar leave soft scratch also? even grandma bag can leave scratch right?? they leave scratch in the clear coat, even with water spray. or just try it on motorbike clear coat, its leave "tht soft soft scratch" isnt???
hahaha in 6:24 he puts his hand on the hood and says listen to that before and after but he forgot he already clay the before part 2:55 of the hood 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love this stuff, but it is quite tacky and streaky if you wait more than a minute before wipeoff . My best results come by applying it and removing it 1 panel at a time and quickly leveling it. it tends to soak in the towel so keep flipping towel and using new ones but I love the easy spray form though it's not as concentrated it lasts a while in the bottle and can use it a few months later unlike real coating you have to use up within a few weeks before it cures. .I have Adam's Advanced spray on s few cars and it's been 1 year still beading and protecting so I'll continue using it. Hyeon Cancoat Evo is another great option. I think our mfgs need to make a 1 to 2 yr spray ceramic or graphene that's easier than glass bottle coatings.
So, if I have a white car, how am I supposed to see the "high spots"? Clearly you can see the surface better on a dark color car to detect the "oil slick effect".
I always use a clay towel. It works extremely well and doesn't scratch the paint like a clay bar. My 12 year old truck has never been decon'd. The lower half was rough. A quick wipe with a towel, using my soap as a lubricant cleaned it to an awesomely smooth surface
The spray coating advanced does not have enough solids to keep the porous plastic looking deep black just like it looks after initial application. The plastic will return to its faded look after a few weeks with this spray coating from Adam’s. Please use a true glass bottle coating for plastics and not this spray coating.
How is he not using proper Protection on hands or mask. I’ve used that product. It’s a good product however it’s stings your nostrils from the smell and I wouldn’t be using it without gloves unless he knows something I don’t.
I am absolutely disgusted with this spray coating. Getting high spots off doesn't work for me with this product, it only gets about 80% of the high spots off on reapplication. I like your other products but, your ceramic is not for me. Insane gloss for sure under LED lights but, then I get it out into the sun and the spots are everywhere. I just want one and done and going back to some kind of wax.
This dude is in cuckoo 😂land 😂 1st off he's using Adam’s quick detailing spray not genuine proper ceramic 5yr coating and as a pro detailer even brand new cars will need a snow foam pre-wash then shampoo hand wash with a noodle wash mit, decontamination spray, clay baring panel wiping, even new paint work will need a ultra fine DA polishing then panel wiping then proper 5yr ceramic coating application then buffering a car like that jeep a minimum 4 to 6hrs
Very good explanation. However, I’m not impressed with. Taking a nice looking car and making it shiny is easy . Take a old car that needs some work and make that look awesome. Then I’ll see how good your products are.
It’s not really about making it shiny and good looking, it’s about protecting the paint from UV and road debris. Also ease of cleaning. If you did an older beat up car, it’ll just protect what’s there, it’s not going to make it look better.
You can do a pretty damn good job in a couple hours or less and for around $200. It’s particularly easy if you have a garage and can take a break between washing and clay bar/detox then do the polishing/waxing and another break then apply the ceramic coating. If you need to stain/repair your plastic trim it takes a little longer if you have to tape off for the plastic trim but still doesn’t justify spending $1,200+ for a detailer Who the hell decided $1,200+ is the price to ceramic coat a car?!?! If I were a young teenager again I’d learn how to ceramic coat cars and charge half the price of the “professional detailers”. You could rake in at least an easy $300+ a day if you only do one. How should this be stored? Should the sprayer be removed and the cap applied back onto the bottle? Shelf life, is it 6 months like the small bottles?
how long will the Adams advanced graphene coating last on a vehicle if it lives outside? How often to reapply the product?

Yes

Use the spray coating as a yearly top up after a decon wash to maintain your base layer coating.
First I am hearing about cleaning plastics this way before coating. Also, what about iron remover? I'm definitely going to give it a try.
I dont see Tire and Rubber cleaner on Amazon. Its that product discontinued?
What if you have a sealent or wax based paint protectant on it? washing it will not remove the previous protection.
Can you apply this outside?

Can a ceramic coat(Advanced graphene coating) be reapplied without stripping/polishing. IE: wash, clay, and then reapply?

How to remove coating from windshield? I have put your product and now my wiper skipping bad, new blades 🤔
Polish it. Ceramic coating is soft and only a couple microns thick. A quick machine polish easily takes it off
What kinda of ceramic Cote did you used
Can you apply this after applying a polish, glaze and wax on a car?
Polish and depends on what kind of glaze but why would you put it on after it wax? This is basically taking the place of wax
