Can you use regular gas on these engines? The manual says that just the 4 cylinders high performance engines require premium is that the T6?
So who is doing the the T5 into T6 conversion and how much would it cost? Own a 2018 S60 T5 AWD Polestar but you know, more is better.

SpencerMC Gaming all 4s unfortunately. But having the T6 with the supercharger and turbo is pretty quick.
Volvo only does 4 Cylinder engines now, what changes is the Turbo and Supercharger, some engines are only straight 4 cylinder, others come with turbo, and some with Turbo and supercharger... and don´t expect anything above 2 Liters.
Volvo's best engine was made for S80 2.8l T6. Best engine overall. Easy to tune up to 900hp by filling the gaps between cylinders + wiceco pistons. Best Volvo engine hybrid to tune is D5244 block + RN T5 head. Check out that kind of swap build volvo 850 1140hk on youtube. Peace out. Don't buy new cars because they are cheap guality compared to older models still.
What about the diffrences between T5 and the T4? Is that the same engine?
Looking to get a new XC60. I think the T5 will be enough power. What has been your experience?
T5 is fine on the sedans, unless you have a heavy foot and like that throttle response. For the XC60, I strongly recommend the T6. I do believe there are some incredible lease deal currently on the T6 model. Price everything out. I had a family member pick up a T5 and 3 weeks later the dealer did a deal for the same monthly price on a T6 model. They felt a little taken advantage of.

I drove a t6 this weekend and didn't like the power came on, but I'm into performance cars and and hot rodding.
I can totally understand. The power seems to grow on me the more I drive the NEW T6 models. My daily is a 2012 with the 3.0L Turbo and when i get into the newer T6's I notice a difference in torque and the fact that it sounds like a 4 cylinder....but on acceleration I enjoy the sounds of the compressor and turbo....as an enthusiast is sounds great. What model did you drive?
Why are they called t5 and t6 on a straight 4 engine? Only thing I can see is too plastic straight 4 engines.
T5 makes about 5 cyl engine power, T6 makes about 6 cyl engine power, T8 makes about 8 cyl engine power
