absolutely love the super detailed analysis of the games, the more nuanced and niche information the better in my eyes. There are so many things going on in each game that for someone who doesn't play at a professional level would be completely overlooked. the explanations of how each of the builds interact with each other and how the meta has evolved over time to make subtle but major changes in the game play is something that only people who have been playing the game with a competitive mindset for decades could know. The fact you have been involved with the pro scene for essentially the entirety of starcraft's existence makes your casts the most interesting and informative on the planet. its always amazing to see someone be incredibly passionate about something and i appreciate the time you take to share that experience and insight with the rest of us. Thank you for bringing good games to the fans as the pros would say lol
Love watching this right after recent ASL matches - you can really see the difference! ASL games are much more precise and unforgiving. This also makes this the more entertaining tournament - players who are losing are still trying to come out on top, they know their opponents make mistakes, so they are looking for them. You won't have e.g. that Mihu vs 815 game in the ASL :D
I have just started wathcing Broodwar, played this game over a decade ago. I love watching these competive matches with your commentary. Thank you Artosis!
I really appreciate the in depth explanations of all the little things that only someone who played for 20+ years at a high level would understand. I’ve gotten so much enjoyment out of your channel and the ASL stuff also. Thank you Arty. Long live Artosis and Tastetosis. ❤
An amazing cast again, I just love getting all the extra analysis and nuggets of information, thank you! Also, Broodwar TvT is my absolute favorite matchup. How a game can turn at the blink of an eye with unoptimal siege tank movement, LOVE IT
Always had an interest in this tournament but the videos were tough to follow. Super excited to have a more professional version and some of the best casting you've ever done.
interestingly, that shows that Artosis is reading our comments here - I remember some time ago he used to do more zoom-ins, concentrating on micro more, and almost never did zoom-outs, and there were a lot of comments that he should start doing those, and now he does :)
I love your analysis as you cast. Especially when you're casting solo, you do a good job of balancing remaining engaging with gameplay and speculating/analyzing/explaining/etc.
@ArtosisCasts is there any way you can add the map names somewhere to the overlay during the matches? I know you say the map names, but sometimes i forget what you said and don't want to have to skip all around trying to find that single mention again. Also, this is so enjoyable to watch! It's a totally different experience listening to your insights without all the TTS spam!
Watching Arty cast Brood War is like watching the veteran players casting NFL games, where they circle things on the all-22 camera or call the plays before the ball is snapped.
From about 58:00 look at the blue dots on the minimap flying west and then north (barely avoiding getting detected by an overlord). They end up dropping in the upper left corner. You can see the red blob of the zerg main army rushing there to clear up the drop. That's when the lurkers were lost and terran broke through. It was a great deflection move from Mihu and not-so-great multitasking from 815. To be fair, it was very unfortunate timing.
in situations like the 815 vs promise game, where the p has lots of minerals but not enough gas, and the zealots arent doing a whole lot against mass lurker, i wonder if investing in a reaver shuttle could be a strong play
I really want to see more Dropship of zealots into weak bases from Promise. He had 2k minerals at one point & if 1.5-2 min earlier he had have started making a single robo & shuttles & got the speed upgrade (yes another building & tech), he could have annihilated 2 bases at the same time. Even if he did it quite a bit earlier... he just needed more Macro for it all.
Funny how last game, he could have just sat on the top of the marines and keep fighting instead of running away and losing the hatch, as mutas were hatching within seconds. He had a chance to win that fight if the marines spread their fire enough. Sure, he would have been super behind, but it still could have been played out and not just instantly lose.
Wow, I'm stoked to see a non-Korean qualifying for the playoffs in a Korean tournament. Looks like Mihu has the ability to make his opponents play worse from ahead positions.
Can someone explain to me why the top 24 in ASL are always Korean? There are 1.4 Billion people in China and 52 Million in S. Korea. That's 28 times more people in China. I know Koreans are serious about SC and not every person plays SC but what's the big reason?
I don't understand the lack of self awareness in these gamer poses. Promise looks ridiculous. Another guy that looks ridiculous is a WC3 guy that I think is called Zonik. Then you got Korean 'gangster' poses in GSL. It never looks cool, it always looks silly.
Keep flooding me with information, its what makes your casts great
Love getting the additional insight into the matchups

Dan your passion shines through. Love the CNSL videos.
At this slightly lower tier it really feels like anything can happen. Absolutely loving these games!

Losing track of the opponent's army for a small moment resulting in a loss seems to be the overarching theme of Group C. Amazing cast, as always!

That Mihu vs 815 game..I got chills!
You caught the artosis virus!
literally the chills right now literally chills
chills and a cough
I mean all he needed todo is use those 5 lukers and the terran can f off but no lol
Did you masturbated to janHHAN?!
Pro gamer poses need their own documentary.
Haha, so true!
You talking about those viper strikers that promise popped out on us? Hahahaha
Yeah, it's so dumb looking.
give me your energy to block the spoilers!
Here's an energetic comment to help!
And my axe!
My favorite part about watching the not super Pro/Pros is how close games with seeming foregone conclusions can get.
This may have been my favorite cast of yours. Ever. Nice job.
"Choke out the meatgrinder."
Great visualization for the overwhelming production of an overbase Protoss just chucking armies into a little choke until eventually it fills up
The quality, man! We are being spoiled! Thanks again for the casts!

These casts are like classic radio. Just loving them!
RT, I'm stoked! Awesome in depth casting, loved every bit of it.
Mihu my countryman balling hard out there!
who is your favorite communist
@@perfectman3077Castro every time bruh
I'm happy to hear you so enthusiastic. Your excitement is highly contagious. I'm loving this channel!
So much starcraft every day is going to kill me. But it is just too good to not watch right away!
Always had an interest in this tournament but the videos were tough to follow. Super excited to have a more professional version and some of the best casting you've ever done.
I actually like the zoomed out replays.
It does a great job showing army movement and all the little things that are being done.

best sc/bw broadcasting on the interwebs. so informative
CNSL hits it out of the park with the games like this.
Gotta say, I'm loving this tournament series... it feels like ASL and in some ways is even more exciting / interesting.
That 815 game was wild. Shocking, even.
Great cast! Loving this series!
can't decide whether promise is gonna kungfu fight me or is a part time wizard
How did i not know about this? Somethin to watch inbetween ASL rounds =D You da best Arty.

Awesome cast Artosis, while we wait for the next round of ASL :D
The ample depot has been legendary for years
ASL, CNSL, GSL. The literal trifecta right now.
58:27 yes, there was a drop at the same time
Mihu's double pronged attack was superbly timed
It's just not the same without the vod starting with 10 minutes of background edm and a countdown timer 😢

I am so invested in this tournament now!
Artosis. My dog will be turning 14 in about a month on 04/09 and I was hoping you could give him a shout out on the big day. His name is Dirk Nibbler.
Artosis get your temperature checked, you're getting chills too often! 🥶
Very good Work Arti !!! much love
Huge fan of these long form videos!
Pretty funny that 815 obviously didn't know that Ultras couldn't go behind the minerals in his natural on Blitz Y.
Honestly, TvT is one of the best matchups. So richly positional.
37:13-37:20 It's kind of crazy how short this air battle was. Both air armies disappeared within a mere 7 seconds.
I love the CNSL, I actually wish it wasn't being released at the same time as ASL.
815 played so well the whole night, and then just doesn't defend at the end there... What a bummer. Will be happy to see him again.
I like the zoomed out view honestly
@Artosis Will there be a translation of the group nomination ceremony? I love seeing the players banter during selection
game 4 you're wondering who's in the lead and you can watch the probe count drop by like 2/second for awhile and it's like...well that answers that.
I like, how this guy, Ample, playing.
Mihu feeding his vessels to 815 on platter!
Ample vs Mihu is the exact description of situation when I argue with my wife, and for sure you know Im Ample there.
in situations like the 815 vs promise game, where the p has lots of minerals but not enough gas, and the zealots arent doing a whole lot against mass lurker, i wonder if investing in a reaver shuttle could be a strong play
great content as always! Would love to see a cast or two with tasteless in cnsl, maybe top 4 or smth
Don't let Tasteless get to you Arty, we know what Crazy Zerg means
I love Mirror matches, there should be more mirrors sprinkled in here and there
Ample. Mihu. Now I got chills..
Pretty massive throw from 815 vs Mihu. Seemed like he ran out of stamina while Mihu's game sense stayed sharp late in the match
Fantastic tenacity by Mihu!
What happened to be 111 build as Terran vs Zerg?
PROMISE IS A CONTENDER FOR MY MEW FAVORITE PLAYER
Love the high level games!
a couple of years and names are still IIIIIIIII vs IIIIII!IIIIIIIII
Arty put the broadcaster curse on 815.
i love your videos artosis
THANKS ARTY!

Hell yes I remember the Ample depot.
I don't understand why all these protoss pros delay getting zealot speed until after the 5/6 fac push hits their natural.
those lots into the lurkers.. bruuuuutal
We have new RTism. A perian victory. Lol
Omple DepAt ftw!!!
Ample and that damn depot
1:00:18 I don't know if this is the best offense or the worst defense I've ever seen
Funny how last game, he could have just sat on the top of the marines and keep fighting instead of running away and losing the hatch, as mutas were hatching within seconds. First time comment. I like this format, keep it like this
wtf is promise doing in his profile pic lol
shooing the photographer away maybe?
The crane kick from karate kid. I was 100% rooting for him.
Imitating zealot psi-blades?
Flexing that virgin energy.
Wow, I'm stoked to see a non-Korean qualifying for the playoffs in a Korean tournament. Looks like Mihu has the ability to make his opponents play worse from ahead positions.
Empyrean Victory
Wouldn't be an Ample game without the depot
Let's goooooooooooooo
I made it to the end
Ample Depot!!!
7:17 *deep voice* wait
What is CNSL?
I have to admire Arty's dedication and energy to make a TvT a watchable matchup.
TvT is a great matchup
SPOILER BEELOW
Wow what an unfortunate throw by 815, definitely felt like he got overconfident and it cost him
Lookadis
Terran is so op lol
Planed delayed 1 hour? FUCK
FUCK, what a great time to watch CNSL :) Loving it
Tesagi
Terran is dank
its sc4life (BW) dan the man... you know that....
: )

Dear God 815 sucks.
Zooming out is for boomers and zoomers.
Men of culture leave the screen as is.
Just saying.
nah
When playing, I'd totally agree with you, buy for spectating zoom-out view is nice sometimes :)
