I don't know if anyone else mentioned this yet, but I really like the ASL style formatting that you put in this video. The short intro with the player names and a description about each person really adds to the quality of these videos IMO. I also think these longer format videos are a lot easier to keep track of what is going on in the tournament that last time you did CNSL.
Right then - 90 minutes of Broodwar every day. I have quit my job, left my girlfriend, and set my alarm earlier in the morning. I now have enough time in the day: don't let me down, Artosis!
These CNSL matches are super sick. I love seeing the younger or newer pros - it makes me think of college football, where you see lots of new talent but also lots of crazy/wild plays. Thanks for the coffee break entertainment Arty!
Agreed. While the play is a bit more refined/skilled in ASL, I'd say these CNSL games (on average) are actually more entertaining to watch because the guys take more risks
I love these long casts, i love listening to arty casts for 1hr+, i love cnsl, i love seeing so many more players than dont get a chance in asl, i love starcraft!!! Thanks Artosis
Made it all the way to the end! Love these high quality starcraft games, I wish tournaments like ASL and CNSL happened year round, great watch before bed
So hyped for this!! Also the intros and showing stuff like the players photos and the commentary on each of their backgrounds really adds a lot and it makes it feel different from other regular casts. You get the feeling this is special and big!!! So excited for this tournament so far. Can't wait for the other groups!!!
Artosis, you have to close the windows: you keep having chills while casting these games! In all seriousness, thanks for casting this CNSL 7, some superb games full of action!
have not been able to keep up with the daily uploads recently and doing a catch up today. Thanks for the cast of CNSL didn't even know it was a thing and some pretty good games. Keep up the work arty, you make amazing content here.
I'd love to see you make a stand-alone video expanding on the topic of pros moving back from sc2 and bringing with them new takes and better strategic understanding. Seeing TY in the ASL this season was so cool, and then seeing MC in this group as well...just awesome.
In a lot of ways CNSL can be more fun than ASL, though marginally less exciting. I love watching it and as you make it easier to watch in the same group batch style of video as asl, it has been even better.
I think CNSL servers an even better purpose in that as another commenter put it, it servers as the "College bowl" to ASL's "Pro-league". CNSL is for those with talent and passion that may not have qualified for the big leagues, but still are excellent in their own right. Plus, if a pro doesn't qualify, there is a chance he might win CNSL. And if they both run at the same time, pros can't play CNSL because they are in ASL. Great format, great commenting, hope this continues to run concurrently to ASL in the future.
I was looking forward to Arty saying QiaoGeGe's name wrong again since it always makes my girlfriend laugh (she's chinese). But Arty said it correct this time, I'm impressed! Also shout-out to Gee Gee E-Mini
@@kawaiinekochandesu5375I do and I am pretty sure Arty does. It is about respect to learn how to pronounce names and nicknames properly. Maybe you should stop thinkin everybody is a kind of ass like you.
Yo arty sorry to hear that the CNSL stuff isn't doing as well as you'd hoped. I really enjoy the content, honestly I usually only watch NAPL on here, so atleast for me it adds a lot of value to your channel. However, it does take me several weeks to catch up on this kind of content, so at least my view (albeit it only 1) comes in rather slowly. Also if possible, could you please add the round/group to the name of the videos? makes it easier to track than "fear these mutas CNSL 7".
Wasn't a fan of previous CNSL casts, cos of chopped format. This approach however, with video per group, including players short introduction, nails it! Love it. Keep up the good work Arty!
Do extractors and refineries work the same way as assimilators in terms of squeezing past them? Would Troy be a reasonable map if you could build on those geysers if the assimilators are destroyed?
MINOR spoilers ahead Artosis chills speedrun any% 21:46 (23:47 RTA) Honestly tho, fantastic games. Yeah, we can meme on Artosis getting chills from this 25 year old game, but at least you can guarantee that he will die before his passion for this game does.
One thing about ZvP that's often missed by terran players is that storm drops on workers is not that great. It's mostly a way to close a winning game where zerg is operating at near 0 minerals already, but overall lategame drone production is really not an issue, as you can make like 30 drones at a time and they spawn extremely quickly. I've can't even guesstimate how many games I've won by baiting my opponent to use all his HT for storm dropping my drones, which massively improving the resilience of my actual army.
I don't know if anyone else mentioned this yet, but I really like the ASL style formatting that you put in this video. it's great to see the players' faces. Nice to confirm that the Protoss players are not actual apes
You can definately feel the uplifted event rank from all these subtle aspects
Love the effort artosis puts into casting.
Artosis: "Sorry for nerding out in this cast."
Me: It's one of the reasons I'm here. Please keep nerding out XD

Time to raise spoiler free force field guys
Snape kills Dumbledore
Charon was actually the father of Oedipus
Bambi's mother dies.
These savages. Would the BW equivalent of a force field be a lurker egg?
Artosis' mistress is Charlize Theron
chinese player's clever name: "Ciao, GG". Artosis' pronouncing that name: *baby noises*
Artosis mentioned at some point that chiaogeegee sounds something like penis or something in Chinese and the intended pronunciation is guhguh
he pronounced it rather competently for a non-native speaker.
Hi Artosis, keep up the great work! Love watching these CNSL casts getting to see a lot of differrent pros play.
totally agree!
That was the most beautiful maelstrom I’ve seen in a while.
Artosis is the GOAT of the RTS world, consistently producing such high quality videos and uploading every day, unreal work man
this is absolutely awesome thank you so much for casting this in this format
I love these long casts, i love listening to arty casts for 1hr+, i love cnsl, i love seeing so many more players than dont get a chance in asl, i love starcraft!!! Thanks Artosis
made it all the way to the end. thanks for sponsoring this tourney! really enjoying the games so far.
It's so cool to see MC again! What an smart/creative/instinctual and sharp-elbowed player! He could go very far!

Loving these casts. Your passion for the game is contagious.

Posting full groups makes this much easier to follow and I really appreciate it and also the sick set of games

loving the upped production value here Arty... its great having something to fill the gaps with ASL downtime!
Thank you Artosis for casting the whole thing. This format where the whole group is casted is much better.
I miss it when you get super excited. Keep up the good work
Seriously loving these games, thanks for all your hard work Artosis!
Awesome series! So excited for you to cast all of CNSL (and I love the longer-format as well).
Agreed
Love these casts and the technical perspective you bring to the games!
I'm learning a TON watching these games! Much more informative than the highest tier pro-leagues i think!
Really digging this season's format.
First game was very impressive. Always amazing how careful you gotta be against these pro players even when you far ahead.
G1 is why Protoss should ALWAYS make a DA+Maelstrom every single game.
Artosis, you have to close the windows: you keep having chills while casting these games! In all seriousness, thanks for casting this CNSL 7, some superb games full of action!
Thank you for bringing us CNSL games

Oooh that arbiter game was sick! Looking forward to seeing more of MC! Thank you castermuse and Artois for CNSL!
What a beautiful first game in this group! Really solid play overall by both of them.
What a amazing cast, this is really fun to watch!! Love the format
Thanks a lot and great work, we can’t get enough amazing quality brood war. ❤

13:19 Money Maelstrom
Thanks Artosis. Great casting and games
Nice meleestorm. Fun to see some Chinese pros indeed.
Absolutely loving the cnsl casts!
This tournament is such a blessing, having a code A in BW shows just how lively the game is.
Made it to the end, Artosis. Thanks! :)
Man. Zerg really cant catch a break this year. Between CNSL amd ASL i think they only have had one guy progress so far.
Thanks all 5 of you for the games and cast!

solid performance by artusers first opponent
Loving the CNSL, the more tournament BW content the better!
01:03:40 “So, once again my predictions are going as poorly as POOOSSIBLE”. Such energy in saying this😂

Now, my humor may be somewhat flawed, but @1:00:42 was quite amusing. Thanks for the laugh.
oooh, don't get to see Dark Archon play too often! That was fun.

Great stuff RT! I wouldnt mind chopping these up into parts. Like 2 games each video. I dont have time to watch all this in a single day.

Hi Artosis, i am not a fan of Patreon. I heard they keep 70% of the money? Is there any other way to support directly?
Good to see MC back in Starcraft. "His" era of SC2 was the best (imo).
hell yeah man, he wasn't my top favorite player but I never missed one of his games, and he was my template for learning how to play protoss
haircuts will be huge!!
Sick matches!
I thought it was a 2v2 at first glance but still awesome
That wraith game was a treat to watch
Thank you!
Got ourselves a new poison.
Artosis got really emotive that T losing vs P here 53:40

lol bishop plays like a true protoss, cutting as many corners as possible
this mtf ought to get a jacket, he always has the chills....
That first game, fuckin' wow.
How not to love BishOp games? Its not possible
24:01 the drones are so low because he lost 23 from the storms!!!!!
good work boys
Do extractors and refineries work the same way as assimilators in terms of squeezing past them? Would Troy be a reasonable map if you could build on those geysers if the assimilators are destroyed?
China guys entertain with pretty different approach, cool
I genuinely love the Tournament content. I wish ASL/CNSL was a little more like the GSL and played Bo3s for the group stage rather than Bo1s
Was literally wondering earlier why protoss never seem to get DA's vs zerg, for precisely this tactic.
I came here to chew bubble gum and watch MC casted by A
tosis... and I was out of bubble gum.... or chewed it over the games, still win-win.
Thankfully an Arbiter cloaked all the spoilers so I didn't see them.
That PvZ match was crazy!
THANKS ARTY!
These are great
you missed the storm drops arty!
2port Wraaaaaaaaith !!! 💛 Let’s go Bishop !!!
24:00 Artosis, you just watched 21 drones get stormed at the 4th. That's why the count is low.
Can someone explain to me how destroying assimilators on Troy blocks the way and makes an island?
Troy my fav map just coz it forces players to play radically different from any other map.
that maelstorm was one sick fucking snipe gg
