I love these alternative phrases. The one I find interesting is over the moon. It re-emerged in the past five years or so. It’s a phrase that is from the first half of last century, or perhaps earlier than that! When I heard it in a tv movie from five years ago. I thought it wouldn’t last as long as it has, but I couldn’t think of an alternative example to replace it, so I’m just going with it.
