This exact one is actually for sale, unless my cousin has already traded it is.
Beauty is we have worked on this one and done everything above what Ford say, full service every year, not the basics they rip you off with

Less to go wrong, but a nightmare when you have kids in the back messing with them, no way to lock them out lol

I thought it was mainly the older first gen ecoboost engines that could be problematic. Haven’t personally seen much furore about the newer ones in terms of reliability.

Have seen many newer ones suffer the same issues, granted not as many….. but time will tell.
From what I seen on forums and hear from pals who work at Ford nothing has changed, Ford are running some the worst engines in years, from the 1.0 eco boost, to the 2.0 Eco blue to the 3.2 diesel they use in the Ranger, constant warranty jobs for new engines.
Problem with the 1.0 eco boost is they are a throw away engine, the head is not supposed to be removed, so any issues with head gasket it’s a new engine job, but saying that you can get a complete new engine from Ford from between £1000/£1500

@Car Addict Garage North East that’s a shame, guess they’re a ticking time bomb no matter the mileage

Would be nice to see Ford get things sorted with the new line of engines, as the vehicle platforms and build quality are actually really good.

Yes it was the early ones, I think mk7.5 models had the problems, but engines much better now, so I understand.

Have still seen a fair few newer ones have issues….. lucky they are covered under warranty.
But yes definitely not as many as older ones, so they have still made some improvements.

Thank you, I don’t act like I know everything.... but I just tell people what I know have a good general all round knowledge.
Am not sure if it’s on one of them balloon payment things, he always ends off handing it back.
Personally for me been a mechanic wouldn’t touch a 1.0 Eco Boom, 1.6 Eco Boost on the other hand definitely a yes cracking little cars them fiesta.
Have a look have done numerous other reviews and have a good few more to upload 👍🏼

@@CarAddictGarageNE no it was great the only reason I asked about the sale of the car is because both my son and daughter have passed in the last week so I have to buy 2 st lines x but everyone I’ve seen doesn’t have those front headlights which my son is adamant on as the car he passed in is basically the same as the one on your video 😀

I am so fussy when it comes to head lights, i totally see your sons point.... watch the Toyota CHR one, we almost cancelled the order of the car as the Excel spec come with leather and rubbish lights and the Dynamic come with cloth interior but LED lights, we wanted both.
Best small car on the road is definitely the Toyota Yaris even better now they do the Hybrid ones, Toyotas and Honda simply don’t go wrong, bar service items can’t remember the last thing I had to do on either other than general maintenance.
Just be super careful of this 1.0 Eco Boost, they are a throw away engine even Ford don’t repair them.
Oh and if they are new drivers, makes sure they are sooooo carful not to bump them, last LeD headlight I did on a focus was £2000 😖
