Nice little car. Very comprehensive run down. I'd have loved to see how it does on a more spirited drive on those country lanes. Keep up the great work!
Very nice review thank you, I am picking my ford fiesta st line edition x 140bhp 5 door in desert island blue this week, hoping I have made the right decision, this car is on a 20 plate.
As always, great video, Tish! I’m upset that Ford pulled the plug on the Fiesta and Focus for the US, as the latest generation models are so much better than before. I mean who would’ve ever thought you could get a Bang & Olufsen audio system in a Fiesta?! I’ve driven the previous generation Fiesta with the 123hp 1.0 EcoBoost, and it was such a charming little engine. The heated front windshield is one of my favorite features on my Defender and Discovery. (JLR is pretty much the only manufacturer who offers a heated windshield in the US). The Sync 3 infotainment system in your tester is the same one that’s in my sister’s Escape, (Kuga) and it’s a fantastic system. Super simple to use, a ton of features, and it’s quick to respond. However, I have to agree with you that aesthetically, it’s a little bit generic. And also, the Desert Island Blue paint is 👌🏻. Keep up the great work!!
Wouldn't be too upset by the Focus the mk4 is awkwardly shaped as a hatchback and it's been declining in sales for years in Europe. I wouldn't give it long before it follows in the footsteps of the Mondeo and is assigned to history as more and more people switch to suvs. The Fiesta has also had it's own battle in sales against it's own sibling the puma which has become a big success for ford, alot of people say it looks better and fresher then the Fiesta
Great car. I fell in love with it in a matter of minutes when i test drove one. Needless to say i ordered mine right after, now patiently waiting for delivery in the next couple of months! Also Your accent is lovely ❤
Hi Tish , excellente review of This Ford Fiesta ST-line Edition ! Love your comments, explications ans others... i like them différents views Inside of this car : seat driver , right ! when you change the gears ! congrats love that ! have great day
Sorry I upset you with my old man rant, that was not my intention. I watch a lot of car reviews and of late I have been fed up with reviews all ending the same. You got the brunt of my frustration, sorry. I have deleted my original rant as now I feel bad about how it came across. Good luck with your channel and I sincerely wish you all the best for the future.
Another quality video. The screen can only be changed via a diagnostic set up you can see a preview of all the options but it resets when you power down. I love my focus st in the same colour. Love th grill
@@AutoSocialUK I honestly don't know about the paint and if so muuuuuuuhaaaa evil laugh. I think if you had connections in a Ford dealer ship they could change the screen permanently. You can pick the load up logo like ST, RS etc!
Great video, Tish. It's a shame that Desert Island Blue is no longer an option. It suits this spec more than the other colours. I am not a fan of the dash, and, for me, it also lets down the Focus, and especially the Puma. I prefer the previous design, even if there are a lot more buttons. Though, the previous facelifted Focus got the larger screens that helped. I am looking to change my 2009 Fiesta, but will probably go towards a facelifted version, rather than opt for a 2018 current model, or maybe a previous generation Focus with the bigger screen.
Another great review. I love the colour but its a shame its not available, it really suits the style of the fiesta over the other colours. Sounds like there is a lot of road noise in it. Wonder how the full fat ST is like.
Thank you very much, the colour looks stunning doesn’t it. They do still have blues available but they’re now much lighter. Yes that is the road noice with the background noice reduced on the computer too!
Hi mate, just curious, being 2 years later, do you still have the car and how is/was it? I'm looking at getting one, any pros and cons to look out for?
You didn’t mention the wet cam belt design fault , low mileage cars with full Ford history are having belt issues which block the oil pipe and starve the engine of oil and a replacement engine is needed at the price of £6000 which the customer has to pay for
Here in Oz the Fiesta now only comes as the gruntier ST. With 124 kW/t it's a fun thing. The grill could maybe turn that frown upside down. Unfortunately I've just always found Ford Australia's warranty not worth the paper it's written on.
Same issue with seat comfort that I had. Also found car bit big and heavy compared to city cars usually have. Curious on discounts though, way too expensive.
They just feel a little low quality compared to the rest of the car don’t they. I did also read that on a PCP the fiesta costs more a month than the the Volkswagen Polo which surprised me. I might spec one on carwow and see!!
P.s. I wouldn't call it a supermini anymore all small cars have grown up now to the size of a medium hatchback, early Focus size so if you do want a super mini I would avoid it. It's taller wider and longer than any supermini I ever owned. If you want a true super mini then you should go for a Toyota Aygo, Hyundai i10 or Peugeot 108. You can't even call the Polo a supermini anymore, that has also grown up and is wider and longer.
ST X answers your few quibbles. Fiesta always walked all over the drab Polo as a drivers cars, as do all Fords when compare to understeering dull Vw models.
Personally think the Fiesta has aged so fast It looks dated against the competition, the up and coming facelift hasn't changed enough, I just feel it's time to move on from the Fiesta and Ford brings something new and fresh to the table, last I heard the Corsa was beating it in sales which shows it's time to move on.
@@AutoSocialUK I don't know the Fiat 500 is cheap and cheerful you dont expect much. The Fiesta isn't exactly a cheap car nowadays, and with some really good competition it needs to up its game, Vauxhall has built a better car then the Fiesta which is unheard of but its happened.
Hi I had a test drive in the new Corsa it looks amazing especially in the right colour but unfortunately it is one of the dullest cars to drive I don't expect a fun drive owned a Corolla for 15 years but it is boring maybe a more sporty one would be better but I want a softer ride like my Corolla.
Why do all chavs seem to like the Ford Fiesta ST line it's a police stop magnet. I'm sorry but the Fiesta falls short of design Flair that the French superminis have in abundance.. I mean check out those halogen yellowy crinkled fog lamps, no rear LEDs as standard on the ST LINE pre 2021, and the Ford basic alloys, not even a black option for alloys anymore, only bright silver ones or dull grey. The giant un- Sporty steering wheel for starters. At least the mark seven had some of these features. It looks more like a C-Max people carrier these days than a sporty hot hatch. The red piping on the interior of the st-line does not match the exterior sadly. Unfortunately it looks just like any other Fiesta mk8 in the lineup. For the same money you can buy a BMW 1 Series. It's definitely not worth the 20 grand ASKING Price Tag. You could buy a used mid-range Fiesta for around 5 grand that looks similar. 🙄
Nope doesn't warrant any price tag at all , complete garbage , still using the ecoBOOM engines , still have the same problems , and ford head office still have the same appalling customer service. Imminent engine failure coming to a Ford near you very soon. Avoid , Avoid , Avoid!
It looks miserable from the front why can't they have the grill up turned so it looks happy so when you see it it puts you in a good mood, who wants a car with the face on come on Ford we all need cheering up! especially at that price!
"Leather-wrapped steering wheel" - you wish! It doesn't even deserve the name pleather. It feels and looks rubbery and foamy and will probably start to crumble after a few years. Together with the low-quality seats and the "ingenious" timing belt that runs within the oil circuit (and might crumble too), it is obvious that this car is not built for longevity. By the way: In the beginning you say it's got 95 hp, then later you say it's got 99. And no, peak torque is not coming in at 6000 rpm, that's more like the number for peak power.
I see these cars everywhere, so they’re seriously uncool. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good car, but many people have these, and they’re not for car enthusiasts.

They changed it to a chain driven in 2020, I wonder what percentage of them fail as it was the most popular engine for 10 years in the UK.
I enjoyed watching the Video Review. I particularly like the Blue Paint Colour

Not much about the Ecoboom effect caused by the oil wet belt.

does ford 2020 stline has park assist?
No I do not believe it does. Unless it was added by the previous owner.
I’m surprised that Ford managed to extract a lot of horsepower from a small engine.
The 1.0 hybrid gets 155hp, Ford are very good at squeezing power from small engines!
It won’t last
So Макс, would you buy a Toyota or Honda over a Ford, cos Japanese cars may be more reliable than European ones?
@Denisu A natural aspirated engine such as what u would find in a Mazda for example is what u want. These are unnatural, very unreliable
