Yeah. UK and Europe gets an Exynos variant while rest of the world gets Snapdragon. So the camera comparison in Mrwhosetheboss videos are the Exynos version.
In my oppinion, Exynos is MUCH better than Snapdragon so far. It's a completely different approach it seems. Exynos has even greater and better contrast than Iphone, and retains more detail in every photo. While Snapdragon can overexpose often an has less detail.
This man makes the most detailed camera test on RUclips, literally a 19 minute video , imagine the hours you put into this , we love it Danny, apple wins in video and samsung kinda kinda wins in portrait kinda just by a bit , the way it is able to pick out single strands of hair is unheard of lol
I agree the iPhone video is better, but the s22 ultra has definitely improved in that department, and the images can be a mix bag but I think I prefer the color science and portrait styling on the s22 ultra

I love the look of the Samsung's night photos. This is so much warmer and reminiscent feeling. If I would look back at my photos of the night I would actually feel the emotions of the night more by looking at S22 Ultra's photos. Hopefully that makes any sense at all.
It’s subjective, for a scenic shot I think I wouldn’t even use the night mode, it defeats the purpose of scenic shots at night, but for photos in which the night is a pest I would definitely choose the s22U
I just feel like the Android OEMs need to lower the iso a little on night video. The higher iso is resulting in brighter but noisier video. That change alone would clean up some of the differences because the sensor itself is large enough to pull in some good light.

They both have best camera system right now . But sometimes s22 ultra gives u better result and 13 pro max though. After some updates s22 ultra will clearly ahead in photography but not sure for videos 🤔 it may be for iPhone.
I will say this. The standard camera settings are phenomenal on both. Where samsung has a huge advantage is with it's Pro mode. So much more control to get the photo you want.
Very good and thorough comparison! The 10x optical zoom on the S22 Ultra is a gamechanger. But credits to Apple and their hard/software combination. Trading blows overal and it seems that it just comes down to how locked-in someone is to a certain eco-system.
You can’t go wrong with any of this phone now. I would say there is no best because both will be better on pics here and there. I myself was using Note series until now and now I have IP 13 pro because I wanted to try IPHONE for the first time. And I bought the S22 ultra for my wife as a gift which will come in 2 weeks I believe. BTW great video mate!

You know im gonna say this here too, cause i say this alot. Overdoing HDR is not a good thing, all subjects dont need to be at the same exposure. It takes away the 3 dimensional look from most photos if all the highlights shadows are too balanced, thats why i always have to edit the iphones photos so much.
It’s truly a wash in many cases with clear winners in others. What a great time for us all. Now just a matter of do you prefer iOS or Android. And if you’re lucky, just pick up both!

@@techandy1747 Just take it in RAW and the details are still there and you can push them out in post if you want. This is the same as Samsung, RAW will improve some of the stuff. So for those that care there are easy fixes and you’re point is moot, and for those that will just point and shoot either will be fine and crushed low-lights will not be a thing.

@10:30 iPhone camera lens making dots around the lights. That alone makes the S22 Ultra better. All these "issues" the S22 has right now will be resolved in updates. The phone is not even in the hands of the public yet, by time it is updates will start rolling out. No iPhone update gets rid of the dots from lights.

Especially Portrait photos. The S22 Ultra blur is artificial and cuts off too aggressively. While the blur on the 13 pro max is natural and gradual. Pure professional quality. 👌 S22 Ultra has better specs and iPhone still performs better 😂 so embarrassing
iPhone's color reproduction is way better, especially with the red Coca-Cola test and purple castle examples. I wish Samsung would improve on this. Great video bro.

I already sold my canon eos m6 mark ii mirrorless after comparing the S22 Plus Shots in day time photos. In portrait mode it is amazing, and in 50mp mode it looks downright identical unless I zoom in 3x. I also dont have to switch lenses for portraits or landscape anymore and the prints I use is usually 4x6 or 8x10. Print quality is never as good as the real images so that's another reason to switch, when its printed you cannot tell the difference maybe if you do poster size.
Great job here! Today I receive my s22 ultra exynos version, I already have s21 ultra. From the first comparison I saw that photos on s21 ultra, are brighter. Skin tones on selfie shots has change and dynamic range has improved, but I think it's too early, because many updates are coming.

When you discuss photo by photo or video by video, and especially when you took a shy of 400 photos, simply shows your pure dedication. I'm based in UK, I'd love to see a proper comparison like you've done on the exynos. Oh also, I always put off by youtubers asking to sub their channel, but I don't think I ever see you mentioned it, hence my sub on your channel :).

Even as a S21 Ultra user, I have to admit the iPhone is better when it comes to the back cameras and videos. The color balance is better and the video is clearer. However, the S22 Ultra's front camera is so much better. If we could get a combination of the number of cameras from the S22 Ultra with the iPhone camera color science, we would have the perfect set of cameras on a phone.
This time s22 is way more better at back camera than before. Better shadow details and dynamic range. Even skin tones are realistic and not smoothened.

As a whole I think the s22 ultra does a spectacular job (as does the iphone 13 pro - both are so good these days!) and I'm getting one. I do think that a couple software updates could hopefully really help in some places the s22 ultra is struggling like the occassional mishandled highlight and too dark shot. I feel like a lot of processing iphone is doing is how samsung used to process photos, with the brightness and contrast. Often I prefer the iphone's skys and brightness, but other times I prefer the galaxy, which in well lit shots seems to be more naturally colored, and in lower light seems almost a bit too warm but overall pleasing in most situations. Overall in a randomized blind test it would be difficult for me to even pick one out from the other consistently, except for zoom photos of course. Which is a win-win for consumers that both flagships perform so well in most situations.
I don't know which RUclipsr said it but I agree: the thing with the Galaxies is that each lens is wildly different in quality, there's not a consistent ecosystem like the iPhones have (for example the ultra wide on the 13P is f1.8). Auto mode never was the best for the Galaxies.
I've noticed that with the steady notch ON with the s22 the video recording does get foggy at night. I dunno if you had that turned on, at the fireworks but I have noticed that

Remember both have pro modes and you can adjust the look on both, with the iPhone you can set your look (vivid, cool and in between). So this really is just subjective, if you do not like the look, you have options in both to make it look the way you like. So I feel the main takes are; in photos, pros and cons in both and the 10X zoom means more flex to the S22U. I thought they were pretty close and no deal-breaker either way. The video was better on the iPhone and hopefully Samsung can improve on that with updates. I thought the S21U stood its ground well with the iPhone 13 Pro and they were both great. We have to await Apple’s 2022 iPhone 14 before we see who rules 2022, but Apple will find it difficult to make a giant leap ahead of the S22U. Conclusion, both are great and choose either on other merits rather than the cameras as they are too close to call.

Pro video mode with -0.7 exposure makes a huge difference for night video.
Even with higher ISO S22 U is taking longer exposure time. Imagine exposure time with lower ISO.
The 108mp mode looks better on more complex scenes which involves foliage. The 12mp iphone shot will fall apart when zooming into foliage.

I don't know which RUclipsr said it but I agree: the thing with the Galaxies is that each lens is wildly different in quality, there's not a consistent ecosystem like the iPhones have (for example the ultra wide on the 13P is f1.8). Auto mode never was the best for the Galaxies.

I've noticed that with the steady notch ON with the s22 the video recording does get foggy at night. I dunno if you had that turned on, at the fireworks but I have noticed that

What about photographic styles? If the colors don't pop that can be fixed easily. Then what would you prefer iPhone or Ultra?
Honestly I never use photographic styles. I forget they are there.

Remember both have pro modes and you can adjust the look on both, with the iPhone you can set your look (vivid, cool and in between). So this really is just subjective, if you do not like the look, you have options in both to make it look the way you like.
So I feel the main takes are; in photos, pros and cons in both and the 10X zoom means more flex to the S22U. I thought they were pretty close and no deal-breaker either way. The video was better on the iPhone and hopefully Samsung can improve on that with updates. I thought the S21U stood its ground well with the iPhone 13 Pro and they were both great. We have to await Apple’s 2022 iPhone 14 before we see who rules 2022, but Apple will find it difficult to make a giant leap ahead of the S22U. Conclusion, both are great and choose either on other merits rather than the cameras as they are too close to call.
Samsung also has pro video, most of these phones are actually very close manually.
This time s22 clearly won in photos. Also s22 compares with iPhone 13 because they are launched closer to each other than with iPhone 14.
