    For $250, I think I'd rather get the Elitemini TH60 with an i5-11400H from Minisforum for $240 or MINI S12 with an N95 from Beelink for $190.

    It’s always nice to see gameplay examples of system performance but as an artist I wish some RUclips channel would show PCs running art software to see how well they can hold and how many layers you can use while still running smoothly.

    Thank you for measuring power consumption at-the-wall. Sheesh, only 21W max is pretty interesting in many use cases.

    When you can get an N100 mini PC, the N5095 just won't curt the same mustard. This needed to be an N5105 at minimum and even then I would not give it a second thought. I think that there will be massive bins of the n5095/N5105 that vendors will be dying to get rid of and this, for me, is a good example of trying to polish a turd by using overclock as a marketing gimmick.

    I've had the N5105 Mele 3C for a while now, very low spec but it is absolutely perfect for basic desktop use - totally silent and never misses a beat. In most respects (clearly not for demanding tasks) this is the most pleasant and nicest PC I've ever owned.
    If more people knew about these mini PCs they would be game changing, unfortunately they are a little late to market, given that so many people just do everything on their phones and PC usage has fallen off a cliff.

    Just an FYI, with these low end chips, they generally do not support dual channel, even the i3-N305 is single channel and can support no more than 16GB of RAM(before it starts to act up, though you should eventually be able to install a 128GB stick once those are available).
    Intel really made a niche product with the i3-N305, its the same price as the i3-1215u/1315u, but it is less than 1/2 the processor of both of those.
    There are very few use cases, where someone would not get better performance out of an i3-1215u when underclocked to the same power as the i3-N305, but then would be willing to give up 2 P cores, twice as many GPU cores, 4x faster PCIe bandwidth with 2x as many PCIe lanes, and dual channel RAM(theoretical support for 256-512GB on the 1215u/1315u instead of artificially limited to 16GB where the N305 becomes unstable at 24-32GB)
    About the only thing the i3-N305 is good for, is the absolutely miniscule idle power draw, and if you need that just get the N100, less than 1/2 the price, and you're only giving up a few E cores, the rest of the specs are pretty much the same, the only use case for the N305 is when you need less energy usage than the i3-1215u when properly undervolted, but need more performance than the N100

    • @denvera1g1
      @denvera1g1 Год назад +2

      Of note, the N5095 does support dual channel, but the Atom based processors like the i3-N305 and other Atoms are not.
      It annoys me beyond the point of contempt that Intel is calling Atom processors, anything but Atom, but all i can do is educate people.
      Same thing with the 300mm 192 bit 60 class card Nvidia is passing off as a 4070TI, and the 200mm 128 bit 50 class card they're peddling as a 4060TI

    Ahoy, Thanks for the review. I'm sending this from my JWIPC Z073 metal industrial PC 4+128 w/N5095. I got it delivered to my door for $106 and change brand new. I had to burn a Win10 Pro license as it was not activated but a nice little PC. It has dual channel but only one SODIMM installed so I will upgrade to 8G RAM soon. For me the real test of a system is how much I can use my PC without thinking about the hardware. This chip and this PC fit that profile fine. I just use it. So I too believe that the N5095 is underated. With the MeLe quality I'm sure that performs as well as it looked in your video. Cheers, daveyb
