You can, but this way it is easier to knit. When you knit and the yarn jams, you break your machine. When you wind your balls of yarn into cakes they are used without resistence and knit easily.

The sleeve shape is a rhombus! I had to look it up! I am working on Knittax / Knitmaster / Knitking machines as well: BRAVO! Did you write this pattern out? Or is it in print? The decreases and row counts are not fully noted in this excellent video. ~Milissa

The actual pattern is quite simple and was made up at the beginning of the video. No official written pattern or print. If enough people are interested, maybe I could do a video about how to actually calculate a pattern 😀

Thank you, I am very happy to hear that 😀 These Knittax machines are a lot of fun to knit on. The ribber is purely for knitting double bed stitches like rib. It is not for knitting in the round. But not to worry, you can still knit about almost anything on these machines. And yes, sock video is on my list. Coming soon! 👍🏻

Yes, thank you for noticing. I knit the sweater I am wearing myself. On a Singer Superba double bed knitting machine. It is also possible to knit the sweater on this Knittax machine 😀
Measurements depend on fashion, style and size of your 9 months old. When you google on “sweater measurements children” you get a lot of results with measurements. Pick the ones you like best. Or you can just measure an existing sweater and use those measurements. That way you are sure it will fit. Good luck! 😀
