I want to personally thank you guys for the advise for preserving my battery life on my iPad Pro. After all the steps I’ve taken made my iPad run almost 50% longer. I am not a video editor but I love to watch videos from all different platforms and I do not have to keep my device plugged throughout the day. Guys y’all are the best. Again thanks
wall -e I think it does. My iPad doesn’t die nearly as fast, and I haven’t had the chance to work on it for more than 2 hours lately but it doesn’t die nearly as quickly so

Real Guru I have the same problem, my charger is completely torn apart and it still charges but my battery dies every 15 seconds. I’m going to get a new charger just incase.

@@dunnok249 it did for me, my ipad would go down probably 20% after 10 minutes if I'm on it but I've been on it for a few hours (kinda on and off but i was only off for very short periods of time) and now it's only at 91%

Recently bought an ipad 6th gen, after setting up i was shocked to see the amount of battery backup i got on it (It was running on ios12). I used it like that for a whole day. On the second day i decided to upgrade the software to the latest iPadOS14.6 because some features were lacking in iOS12, like dark mode and apple pencil support. After the update i used it for a day and was completely shocked! I was losing around 1% every 2 minutes. [Note: i had the location services turned on and WiFi on as well.] But the thing i noticed was that once i lock the device and it goes to stand by mode, not a single percent charge is lost!. This was huge for an android person like me.[Note: i had the WiFi and location services off during stand by time.]

Jazzy_Wazzy 11 dude here’s some tips: Where socks on feet and Hands. It makes less sound when you take the device. Crawl on fours. Make sure to look for cracks. When heard, don’t run back hide. Make sure before your parents wake up, put it back so they don’t get suspicious.

Also, turn off WiFi or Network when not in use. Those functions use battery to my knowledge and you usually don’t have to have them all all of the time (Bluetooth specially)
A+ for this! Watching this in 2024 with IOS 17.3.1 so some things you mentioned didn't show up. But still going to try to find how to change mail from Push to Fetch.
squidacles I noticed the intensity of the screen increased a bit after the update. I edit a lot of photos on it so noticed this change. Even after adjusting the white point and brightness it was still a bit more intense. This might be something to do with it draining more power.

I’m here at 20%. I have the OG I-Pad Pro 1st Generation and have NEVER had battery issues until now. Yesterday I started as usual with 100% and within 2 hours of my “Normal” was down to 30%. Today the same thing. I’m hoping these tips help out. Thanks guys!!!
Excellent. I performed each tip, pausing video to do so and my battery charge finally started moving in a positive direction before video was complete. (Went from 11 to 16% by end of vid)
I began watching this video with my iPad charged to the wall at 100. And following very easy step. Now it’s at 85. But will shut off completely. I have faith. But my iPads battery never increased while following each step. It went down Ugh

When I updated to iOS 12 there was a very obvious battery discharge issue. I would say about 25% less efficient on iOS 12.
