- Hey folks! In today’s video we’re back with another Gold Stake Balatro run. Here, a double DNA created some interesting decision points as to which cards to copy thanks to three competing Jokers each looking for different card types. The result was a unique run with some potential to go late. Enjoy the video!
Balatro is a poker roguelike deck building game centered around creating powerful synergies and winning with big hands. In it, you can combine valid poker hands with unique Jokers in order to create varied synergies and builds. Earn enough chips to beat blinds, including challenging boss blinds, to make it to the next ante and progress your run!

I had a black deck run today where i got a late lucky cat with oops all sixes
I was playing flush fives/flush houses consisting of mostly lucky cards
I played through the entirety of ante 8 without a single lucky card hit, when i desperately needed the xmult to prevent getting violet vesseled.
I also got two invis jokers that refused to hit my only x mult that i received before the lucky cat (a Duo) and kept duplicating my spare trousers instead.

I also had a broken Michael by the end of ante 3 but Cavendish never showed up, despite having hella money and rolling down for it multiple times :/ shoulda taken the $80 wraith to get a blueprint I guess
On average when playing 5 glass cards 1.25 break, if you have two DNAs you can make two glass and play 5 without worrying in the long term (if you can win in a single hand)
As of late my runs have been so cursed where i havent seen dna in probably the last 34 runs in general, but ive gotten blueprint brainstorm in at least 8 of them…

Just something I noticed early on in the video. When using hanging chad with the 2s, instead of playing all of the twos at once it is more efficient to play them one at a time seeing as you will get more triggers via hanging chad.

I think that’s more than 3 helixes. We need the scientists to figure this out.
Scientist here, we were too distracted by the beauty of the helixes to count them, but we are fairly certain there are at least 2, maybe even 3.

A good mod idea would be a deck that changes what order the scoring go's in, for example the order of operations is played cards>cards in hand>jokers. But in the modded deck the order would be played cards>jokers>cards in hand
Way too many things are balanced around the ordering of the current scoring though. With jokers before cards played suddenly mult cards are basically useless past ante 2 and glass cards are incredibly op since 2 glass cards is basically a x4 mult joker which is incredibly good. Changing the order of scoring does sound fun but I think it’s a little too fundamental to the game to be feasible to be at all balanced and fun to play without redesigning so many cards and effects
