Love watching your videos! One tip that I think most people gloss over with the mime/baron combo is that you want to split them as evenly as possible BUT you want to err on the side of mime. Think of it this way: the steel card is basically already a baron so optimal is 1 more mime. I wrote a script to generate the values but I don't think you care because I assume you're less of a dork than me
@@charles-492Mimes' additional trigger is more like changing the exponents, which is not commutative. 5 mimes and 5 barons is better than 1 mime and 9 barons or 9 mimes and 1 baron. And as OP mentions, when you have an odd number, an extra mime is correct due to steel cards.
I laughed when that pack had both Ride the Bus and Green Joker, because those were some of the worst picks you could be offered for your "fish for face cards" build.
might be a dumb question but i’m still trying to improve my understanding of balatro in general. at 10:44, would it have been worth holding onto the temperance until the end of the round since gift card adds sell value to your jokers? or is there something i’m missing
I got a goated high card run on ghost deck gold stake. I got an eternal green joker in the first shop and then in the second shop I got a spectral pack with ankh.
Play a lot, and know what to look out for. Plus white stake lets you get away with a lot of earlier shenanigans / greeding which would kill you at higher difficulties
Not sure about Roffle but I thought it was pretty decent for gold stake before the patch too. The main buff would be the blue seal change which in a deck with a simple game plan like checkered is nice, that and the fact that straight flushes are both significantly easier with extra +1 hand size and stronger with the Neptune buff
The -1 hand size really hurt checkered deck more than other decks, since with 8 cards you can pretty much always get a flush (and you can actually guarantee one with paintbrush), but with 7 it's a crapshoot

It counts the Baron first, and doesn't calculate Mime until Baron script is complete; therefore, he's copying Baron with Blueprint & Brainstorm, plus copying Mime with both copy Jokers on top of that. It's not a bug or glitch & you've gotta make the move fast, but it adds about 2.5^x scoring (x is the number of red seal kings plus steel) Edit: also swapping to Mime allows the gold cards to duplicate as well, so 3x the money

1 more mime is the same as 1 more baron. Multiplication is commutative

Getting high card runs are extremely easy, just gotta r a few times :)
to be fair if you play balatro a lot every day good chance you can get a good run often

You can get high card build like 90% of the time with plasma deck. It’s mainly just managing your economy
Other decks still can get high card run going quite consistently, but plasma early game power make it much easier

It’s better to duplicate the mime rather than the baron because they activate the baron and an extra gold card
You can duplicate baron and then move to the mime while the hand is scoring so that it triggers the gold again
