Hasta a mi abuelo José le llevaron a dar "el Paseíllo de la Muerte"...No puedo evitar llorar al escuchar esta canción,ya que estos aguerridos irish and british vinieron aquí a defender a gente como mis abuelos y otros familiares,y x desgracia miles de ellos perdieron la vida frente a un pelotón de ejecución.

@@gfzarapico What I most dislike about Franco is his complete disdain for democracy and contempt for the rights and views of everyone else, apart from himself, in spite of the evident fact that most were more intelligent and psychologically more normal than he was. He destroyed an elected government and, significantly, was too arrogant to hold elections thereafter. The suggestion that any side in the war did not commit murders is childish. However, his was the cause of that dreadful war.

I also think Franco was retarded, I wish it were a stalinist republic, because it worked very good everywhere they tried. Of there are some uncertainties of the numbers of the brigades. There were 5 international brigades in the Spanish civil war, which had the numbers XI to XV. So the 5th international brigade had the number XV and is the same. There were many mistakes in the past. Maybe it's better to speak of the XVth International Brigade because of the right number. But however...
I obviously love Christy's work, but I do think this song sound better and more uplifting in this fast, hard rock style. Fantastic work, guys. Great hearing it.

your are right , it was the XVth internationa brigade as well known as the Abraham Linconl brigade , I think the mistake may be due to two reasons 1) there was a well known 5th brigade also wiht a famous song (ruclips.net/video/hk1WY63IY9Q/видео.html )but this one was formed only for spanish people from the comunist party . 2) the 15th international brigate was mostly formed by American and british soldiers and as you know the relationship among those was not good

The majority of the spanish people was anarchist. between 1,5 and 2 millions MEMBERS(it doesn't count the sympathizers) in the CNT and the FAI, which means 1/10 of the population who were MEMBERS(so not every people who were sharing this idea) If the spanish people was supporting Franco, why would he needs the help of stranger nations to win, when versus him, there is the spanish people?
