Joel Baulida Ayerbe dungeons and bosses were good, weapons were fine unless you're mentally disabled, rain sucks yeah, final boss was just as good as any other Zelda game. What amazing complaints
Pabliski Malinowski I think you're confusing the terms 'anticlimactic' and 'not challenging' yeah the boss was pretty easy but the music and scale of him made it look cool and he was at least fun to fight. The champions taking some of his health isn't all that bad since his health pool is so big a 60 dmg sword doesn't even dent it. I'll admit the desifn of the other bosses weren't great but the fights themselves were expertly done and felt incredibly original. The weapons breaking aren't a big deal, not once in my ENTIRE playthrough was I even close to out of weapons.
Eh, my only thing with the weapons breaking is how...did all the blacksmiths die in the Calamity? Because if not, then they can repair the weapons for you...but no, that would make too much sense >.>
when all the critics gave it 10/10 and your last chance at an "honest" perspective without bias on this game is these guys

I started playing in 2018, still didn't kill Ganon. Did all the sidequests and got all the shrines, now all that is left is final trial of the sword then Ganon finally (maybe?)

Matheus Cerqueira well in the original Zelda link didn’t have a name yet and since it was called legend of Zelda everyone assumed he was Zelda. Also nowadays a lot of non gamers don’t really know that he’s called link and that the princess is called Zelda.

I found him more annoying than anything tbh, water light was harder (probably because I went in and fought it with NO preparation and the douche one shotted me multiple times before I even got to the second phase)

Nintendo got a lot of things right in Botw, they didn't seem to get that WE DON'T LIKE MOTION CONTROL PUZZLES. Every time I see that little stand in the game, I groan in disgust at having to put down my Pro controller and use that unwieldy gamepad to roll a little ball around.

Link has a jump BUTTON... he's been able to jump in multiple games before. Link's Awakening was the first TRADITIONAL Zelda to introduce a jump feature, using "Roc's Feather".

any other game would be trashed.....recycled story, retarded durability system, bosses based on one hit premise, no creative dungeons, no creative side quests....i fail to see why is this a masterpiece while so many games are damned....i saw so many reviews and i dont get it....link is no one, the blandest character in the world, monsters are just reskins of each other

I never understood the complaints about the rain. You have a fucking weather forecast thingy near the mini map. Just look at it and you won't be caught by surprise by the rain. (Now, for those playing without the hud, I can understand the frustration, but still, playing with pro hud is optional so...)

No, really, out of sarcasm, it's annoying because you have this game in wich the climb it's a core mechanic, and the rain kind of breaks it. It don't break the entire game, it's part of it and pushes you to look for other solutions, the point is that it's just annoying, it's imprudent. Literally, I have waited for the rain in game to stop by doing nothing, and that is just not fun.
Well, I guess I can understand that; personally, I never had a problem with it, whenever it started to rain, I would either find another way to reach my goal, or just mark the place on the map and go do something else entirely. But I can understand why people would find it annoying. Maybe if they made it a lot more rare occurrence in a future patch it would help a bit, I don't know.
Yes, I knew it, really, I'm not that stupid, I spent more than 200 hours in the game, I can catch it in things like that. Never stated that if it's raining you can't climb. As I said, it's annoying, it don't break the experience, it's just annoying.

Not going to lie, I only thought the rocks on top of trees or summits had Koroks in them.
Seeing him pick up a rock next to a perfectly normal defunct guardian though, I can't even imagine how many I missed. Ditto for when I first bowled a rock down a mountain between two trees, and got a Korok seed - like, how many of those rocks did I ignore?

A. Knight anything with health above 100 is when you need to try. but i love doing the reflect with guardians

@@krlosz1996 if you haven't done this... Those walking guardian will stop going towards you at a certain distance. When the beam glows. That's when you parry... If u still suck, just get an ancient shield from Robbie. Block a beam and it repels for u
Or get an arrow in it's eye, get up close and start hacking legs off, works even better if you get the drop on them with the paraglider
Just stand at point blank range, when you see the eye flash, hit A.
Zelda is really good with those arrows!

I love how its so good, even the hilarious and spot on accurate game & movie trash talk / roasting can't find anything legitimately bad to say about this game.
This is my favorite game ever, but it still has a few flaws. Weapons broke way too fast, and the combat often was just waiting for the enemy to attack so you could do a perfect dodge.
I broke that android phone and couldnt complete the first quest. So had to restart. I did it 3 times so when i restarted the game, i went straight to the tower. No weapons, no food, no talking to the old man. Used the android phone thingee, made the tower come up and then died cos i fell of the tower 😑
Im enjoying the game now, but the fact i couldnt complete tje first task because that thing i needed kept breaking was annoying

Chris Lawson got dayum I have at least 115 hours on that game and I've only played it for a week and I only have 3 star fragments one i got from a quest, I would have 4 but I saw it fall from the sky and I hustled over to it and by the time I got there it literally disappeared I was not happy
You don't actually cook the fairy. The fairy flies above your meals and uses magic to power them up while they cook.

I’ve beaten the whole game and still can’t kill Lynels other than with an ancient arrow but that feels so cheap to me and you don’t get their equipment after. How are y’all doing it? I try everything but I get one shot killed every time lmao.
Eff Lynels. I've killed a dozen and they're still cheap as crap.
A B on my old playthrough a silver or white (dk which one is stronger) use to only be able to do a quarter of a heart worth of damage. Only the ground slam use to take off 5~ or so hearts. Other then that it was ez.

Y'know, come to think of it, the original Legend of Zelda was pretty damn open world, especially for the time. If you think about it, this game actually goes back to the roots of the series in a lot of ways that we thought all the other games did but they actually really didn't.
Which is why I think they had the old man as the first person you meet. I think the only thing more blatant would be if they had him give you a sword and tell you "it's dangerous to go alone, take this"

Nintendo actually tested various physicals and environmental interactions with a modified version of ToZ while developing BotW. If you go search the official making of video they show some of it.

Once upon a time, I pinned between getting a switch so I could play this, or a PS4 because FFXV looked amazing graphics wise. But....
I WANT A SWITCH! BREATH OF AWESOME FOREVER! I mean, adventuring in an actual Zelda game like you are on an actual adventure, and NO pressure to stick to the plot. I thought they had come close with Twilight Princess; but as seen in many videos, Breath of the Wild finally cracked the code and succeeded where the other one failed, and the appeal is to staggering- sorry FFXV.

Look up special variants with Endurance+ bonus. They last like 3 times longer than normals.
Also, use Bombs to remove weaker fodder, like bats, skeletons, and red variants of Bokogoblins.
All I'm saying is unless every weapon in the game was made by that one Goron in Ocarina of Time who gives you the giants knife, a sword should not be shattering after a few swings like that

After countless hours preparing, I finally stormed the castle, shortcutted my way to Ganon, beat him, (No spoilers, and it's not that he's not a challenge, but I swear, I struggled more with the Lynels) then reloaded after the credits and spent another four hours exploring Hyrule Castle and scoring some sweet loot. Then I spent a couple of days finding the rest of the shrines (I was about 24 short) and now I think I'm gonna upgrade some stuff before abandoning it for months until the DLC comes out in like October and I have to learn how to use the control system all over again and get killed by low level enemies four feet from base camp.
Oh right, I forgot my point. It's pretty consistent, to be honest, I wouldn't say it bombs at the end, if anything, finally getting to explore the ruins of Castle Town and the castle was a pretty awesome treat now I was strong enough to enjoy it :D

If you read Zelda's diary, she at one point says Link spoke to her
Link obviously speaks, we see him in this game and others give replies and explanations without text or dialogue. Silent protagonists are quiet so the player can insert themselves into the game, but Link is easily one of the more (implied) talkative ones. I get the joke, but it just bothers me so much when people think he seriously can't talk.

You realize these guys do these by popular request, right? I mean, of course they were going to do this one. Still, good or bad, they do them, and they generally admit when they are doing a game or movie that is actually very well made. Theyll admit when they're nit picking, and they still make it funny.
Missed opportunity: highlight the required hours & hours to beat the game and then mention that the current best speedrun is pushing 30mins from start to finish
