Is he really evil though? I mean yeah, the kidnapping and forced marriage stuff is pretty bad, but conquering other kingdoms and marrying their royalty to solidify the union was just kinda the way things were only a few hundred years ago. At least he's not conquering the Mushroom Kingdom and killing their royalty to prevent uprising (though I suppose one does wonder where the king and queen are...).
At this point I think bowser kidnaps peach just so mario would play around in the worlds he creates.

It's because we see stereotypes and crud like that in the mexican level, if there weren't any Americans pointing that out then people would be thinking that Mexicans go around in sombreros waving meracas around all the time.

When Mario possesses--for lack of a better word--something, the thing he possesses gets a mustache. That is a strange-but-interesting touch. I think that sporting the hat would have been good enough. I also noticed that the thing he possesses sports a red hat instead of the hat that the player bought and chose to wear. It would have been a nice touch if they had the thing Mario possesses sport the same hat that the player picked out for Mario.

Some hats come in different shapes and would look weird on certain enemies. Though, some hats should've been exceptions. Especially hats that were Mario's hat.
Yes! It's like the only thing that "breaks" my immersion in the game, some hats are so cool.
I think having to model every possible hat onto every enemy you can capture would be difficult.
If you wear an entire outfit that matches and you go into a 2d section, it will keep the outfit for the 2d part.
At this point Peach should really be carrying around some pepper spray or hire some security or shit I mean she is a princess ffs

there are robots in the game that are located in a similar place that the one where the nice robots in nier had their village, they don't look similar design wise but they can talk too, I suppose that's where that joke came
They also give off that vaguely detached vibe where they still fulfill their stated purpose and seek meaning in their lives while unclear on why they were created and what purpose they actually exist to serve. Its actually very Nier just without the existential bs from Nier.
