My favorite episodes were the 2 KARR episodes, Dead of Knight, Junk Yard Dog, Good Day At White Rock, Halloween Knight, and Voodoo Knight. I also like that season 1 episode where Michael has to get that guy Marty to testify as an alibi for Michael's female friend who was being tries for murder and cops who need Marty to bust Marty's boss in a longterm operation they were conducting are in Michael's way of bringing Marty in to testify. I think the episode is The Final Verdict. I remember the episode at the end had an "In Memory Of" for R.A. Cinader who just passed a few weeks before the episode aired.

Every time I see this guy, I keep thinking he's going to hit Michael with his robotic hand, and Jim Hower is going to come out of nowhere with a battering ram to attack KITT, while Devon's doppleganger is standing by.

The worst that ever happened to him though was in Junk Yard Dog where KITT 1.0 literally died, CPU & all (only the frame of the car was left with everything else dissolved in the toxic chemicals) and he had to be recreated using backup storage and the original creators had to be flown in to do it due to it being beyond Bonnie's expertise. Amazing thing to happen in a mid season episode and not a premiere or finale. There was a point in the episode where the rebuilt KITT when he was only with his primer (no black paint) was doubting himself & had fear of dying again and the Foundation questioned if he was reliable for Michael. He seemed to act more like KARR in some ways due to the self preservation instincts he had.
Only in the 80s could the bad guy watch their plan unfold in a secured office by using a monitor but at no other time would that monitor show what was happening in that secured office.
Oh my he shot Captain Daniel Gregg from The Ghost and Mrs. Muir tv series. He can't kill the Captain! Which I doubt that he did since Devin was a main character.
What got me when I first watched it. Why does he wear such worthless boots? He gets out, sneaks, climbs… with the most noisy, slick soled boots. I refused to wear slick shoes except for wedding. Replaced at reception.

So Michael and Devon faked the shooting to try to convince LaSalle he was really a criminal, however, because they feared Kitt was monitored by LaSalle, he (Kitt) wasn't in on it and he thought Michael had really turned against Devon. Later in the episode, everything is explained.

@@Angyali I partly think the whole limitation was partly due to how costly both the k.i.t.t. cars were to fix up to be screen ready and after the damage that the cars took on after per take if there were any and the fact of the amount of computers were through out the show's run. Plus the idea of fuel and mechanical maintenance on vehicles and about a million other things too.
Devon slowly crawled away on the floor until he exited the room out of the camera's view. Just to be sure, he continued down a hallway as Foundation employees stared at him. He told them to look away and mind their own business. The entire ordeal took him two hours!
I have an idea of a knight rider series taking place in the modern day but having a retro vibe with kids similar to stranger things. Who’s knows? Perhaps it will become a reality someday.
