Veer Zaara is a perfect example of how music elevates a movie.
The music is a bunch of unused melodies by the famous composer Madan Mohan who had passed away 30 years before this film was made!
75 yr old Lata Mangeshkar sang for this film out of respect for Madan Mohan!
That's indeed a great information Kartik. I always used to find music n tune of Veer Zaara unique in a way that it didn't feel to hv been composed by today's composer. N as you said I was also surprised that Lata Mangeshkar had sung the songs.
Yeah mannn i didn't notice
@@kartiksharma7674 thankyou for the information.
Best movie of srk life and prity zinta
That monologue by srk in the end is one take shot. He literally nailed it 👏

Nope it changes angle at 1:52 and 2:05
@@jamalkhadar7367 are bhai inke video mei cut hai movie mei nhi
Its one shot, which means he didn't need more takes, but it doesn't mean it shouldn't be more cameras to film it, thats why the angle changes.
P.S. sorry for my bad english😸
@@jamalkhadar7367 there are a number of cameras!
srk is such a brilliant actor. Some people make fun of him sometimes for playing the romantic hero that he does and stuff like spreading his arms etc but they haven't seen the right movies. We have grown up watching movies like Veer Zaraa - it's a different level of adoring srk. He is such a brilliant and capable actor. He moves you the most from the subtlest acting. I miss this era which really moved people through movies. SRK brings a purity to love that nobody can and you can't help but fall in love with him.
Aaj ke time mai yeh movies cringe lagti hai.
He puts his soul into every shot which makes us believe and love him so much!!!
@@ASHISHSHARMA-cg4nc tum kuch zada hi ultra modern ho gye na so please jaake bina kisi dhang ki storyline achi acting dialogue delivery ke movies hi dekho
@@ASHISHSHARMA-cg4nc .. cringe?? Wtf literally. People watch rajesh khanna and dilip kumar movies even today. It creates a magic of its own
SRK can do grounded role very well. It is just that at that time Director’s demand was like that, many deliberately wanted hero to act like that. Our audience was also like that
Fun fact Achara, the music of this movie was composed by legendary music composer late Madan mohan sir 8- 10 years before the movie was shot, which later recreated again for the time being,
But no music company was agreed to release it's music because they thought it's way too old. So this gave birth the YRF music label. They release the music under their own music company and rest is history. ❣️
I think years ago not just 8-10
@@shobhitkukreti yes coz Mr Madan Mohan died in 1975 ...and it's not like that the music was composed just for this perticular movie...he created so many different tunes and never used it... Yash Chopra listened few of his tunes and wanted to use it for Veer Zara as his tunes suits for the theme of the movie and den Sanjeev Kohli, Madan Mohan's son remastered the songs and music for the movie.... that's how it happened...
Much before then 8-10 yrs

I can't believe that people missed the fact that she was wearing only one anklet for 22 years coz SRK had the other, that's where this movie topped everything else.
Wow . Mind blowing observation mate .
Yeah.. it’s one of the most beautiful part of this epic film.. love is timeless.. he kept the anklet safe for 22 years and she kept wearing a single anklet for 22 years. That’s epic romantic

Why north indian get goosebumps for no reason. Is goosebumps is like be horny?
For me, the most powerful scene in this movie is the 360 degree camera rotation in the courtroom showing Veer-Zaara in their younger and current selves.
Yess....I was looking fwd to that but they edited it out here.

For me it was when they were parting their ways in railway station and the music starts playing. Wonderful 😊
It is powerful alright. Grabs you and never let's go. 😣😣🥺🥺😭😭😭😩😩👏🏾👏🏾
Fun fact - The director of Veer Zaara the late Yash Chopra sir, had the dream of making the most epic love story ever made, that will stay as a cult classic forever, since his youth in the 70's.
He had started scripting a story from then on and slowly and steadily finished over decades with the complete script of this epic, Veer Zaara. Yash Chopra sir was 70 years old when he directed this masterpiece of a film. It's easily the best film of his career. The songs used in this movie are the heart and sould of it and was originally composed between the years 1970-1975 by a legendary musician the late Madhan Mohan. Yash Chopra sir was so adamant that he wanted those particular old songs itself, and bought the rights from the composer's son. He used these songs by digitally remastering them with new singers and latest live instruments.
He directed one last movie after this titled "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" starring Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif, at the age of 79 which released in the year 2012. But unfortunately Yash sir died before the movie even released. RIP Yash Chopra, the legend.
The anklet scene at the end is a very important detail yet not often talked about. It bears so much weight, small detail yet oh so powerful 😭😭😭😭. A pair, made incomplete for 22 years, finally made whole again. Phew 😩😩😭😭🥵🥵😳😳 writing this gave me chills as I remembered the scene lol.
I'm glad that you guys could feel the same emotions as we did and actually appreciate the storytelling which is quite nuanced. Means a lot.

True✨
Exactly that's what I'm trying to say
veer zaara is hands down one of the best movies that describes Bollywood. The songs were so rooted to the culture, the performances, the cameos, the grandeur and finally the victory of good over bad..... everything is just sooo amazing.. Yash chopra was phenomenal..
Veer Zaara is not just a movie. It is an emotion! Srk is forever! 😍
Achara and Steph, I am crying with you. You're right that these days we have forgotten that love is unconditional, infinite and selfless. I cry every time I watch this movie, but today I cried seeing that essence of love truly realized and understood with you guys. Thank you for this beautiful and emotional experience. Love you both so much!
That last courtroom scene always gets to me...damn why aren't SRK doing more of such films!!
Because he too old to do romantic movie ? He himself said that he is not going to do romantic movie anymore but yeah if some mature script comes to him with good romance and great msg he should definitely do......
Now waiting for pathaan jawaan and dunki
He can't do this now

@@Bridge_2702 saale he's too old for romantic aur karega action? Gaandu
Its not just SRK... the directors the producers and the musicians! either they are dead or have moved ahead in life! an awstrucking art like this is made when luckily right people in their right mindset come together at right time. Moreover, the audience in all has either evolved of such content or has been taken over by polarity! The golden time of Bollywood is gone!
Watching this reaction made me realize the importance of watching movies with like minded people.. watching a romantic movie with some one who hates them takes almost all the excitement and emotion off the movie. I enjoyed watching you enjoy a movie I love so much.. thank you for this reaction….
I am not fan of romantic movies or the romance of srk, but veer zaara is much more than that. It carries on the legacy of romantic tragedies from the folklore of punjab. Veer zaara sits in the same category as laila majnu, heer ranjha, sohni mahiwal etc.
Good that Jaby's not here then...

Cuz u don't understand Hindi makes this movie only 50% of the thing for you cuz the music of this movie is just so immaculate and next level for a Hindi/urdu understanding guy which makes it a masterpiece ❤️
That monologue at the end is not actually a monologue, it was a poem about how he survived those years of his life by remembering his family, his village and his people and the love he always got from everywhere he goes, he doesn't look at the bad things happened with him in the past but he always admired the ways of love he experienced, his love for his parents, for Zaara and her Grandma's last belongings, The love in the form of respect and blessings from Zaara's Mother, and in form of support and respect from Zaara's friend Shabbo and all, throughout his journey with that poem

SRK is such a really great actor. People generally seem undermine his acting talents because of his huge stardom, but he is a gifted actor!!
You guys should also have talked about the actings of the cast in your end reaction.
Nobody undermines his acting but yes lately he has stop doing acting oriented films and focus on massy commercial cinema
No actor can make you cry and emotional as Shahrukh does . He is an exceptional impact on any form of cinema 👌👌👌
Loved this whole series Achara and Steph. Much of the old Hindi movies have romantic element alongside contemporary societal issues. One of such movies is Silsila Amitabh Bacchan, Rekha, Jaya Bacchan and Shashi Kapoor big superstars. Story is very relatable for almost every one who has been in love atleast once.
I love how Steph is becoming a SRK fan by watching all the movies. She is literally going through every 90s kids childhood and becoming a diehard SRK fan movie by movie. This movie is seal that confirms that you now fully belong to SRK! I still remember watching this movie and remaining in aww of SRK. And man the songs in this movie it really really gulps you in full! And i bet Steph you are going to remember this movie for your life time. That is how this movie will remain eternal forever and ever!❤️❤️
2:40 Anupam kher took a complete U turn in real life.
Raza is one of the most evil characters while having almost no screen time. He wasn't even married to Zaara for more than like a day and he left Veer to rot anyway. I'd bet he forgot he even existed after a few years.
Jaby the reason I respect you so much is because of these kind of reactions. The love you and your peers show for our Indian movies is impeccable. I got emotional watching Achara and Steph’s reactions.
The SRK monologue in court makes me cry uncontrollably. I love poetry so seeing a powerful one like that makes me see the beauty and tragedy at the same thus causing me to get way too emotional.

The Music of Veer-Zaara is what sets it apart from other Bollywood movies. The music was produced by Late Music Director legend Madan Mohan Ji. This music piece by him was posthumously utilized by the movie. He passed away in 1975. The story telling by Yash Chopra-Ji and music by Madan Mohan-Ji made this movie a spectacular movie when it was released with some amazing performances by SRK, Preity Zinta, Manoj Bajpayee. :)
Achara and Steph.... you're the perfect duo for reacting to this type of romantic movies.
After Veer-Zaara, now try "Sita Ramam".....another new epic love story movie.....with almost the same vibe of Veer-Zaara.
But after few days. Because right now...just let's stay the magic of Veer-Zaara with you for a little while 😉

Noo Ishaqzaade next!!
This is such a masterpiece. I never re-watched it since I knew I would need buckets for my tears but gave into the temptation of watching it again with you guys and omg I think I cried more than the first time.
The only thing that angered me aside from the fact that these poor lovers had to spend 22 years separated is the fact that the fiance didn't have any kind of repercussions for his terrible actions. Like he did this and is literally living his life in a foreign country.
The monologue by srk in the climax scene was one take shot and it's said that when the scene completed everyone on the set were crying and it's not just those lines but due to the way srk delivered the lines and his class level acting❤
Fun Fact - The music of the movie was written by Late Madam Mohan ji (more than 30 years before the movie). The music was recreated by another musician and then Javed Akthar wrote the lyrics post listening to the music!
It was torture as soon as I saw part 1 because I knew we had to wait 4 days for the rest!

this is a movie which ultimately ends with veer and Zara finally coming together it feels so satisfying but the the same time I don't know it feels like that why why it ends like this , i mean it feels like something left behind , i mean you can't express but you will feel that loneliness and you will put yourself at the place of veer and zara and you will convince yourself that why why I had to went through this i mean it's 22 years of your togetherness just vasnished through your life and you can't draw it back it just feels so incomplete from inside , i mean absolutely it ended with them moving up together but still it feels so hollow from inside , imagine the story being real , like in the case of sarabjeet , it's really so emotional .
Veer Zaara is an epic example of how songs can be beautifully used to tell the story and emotions and every song felt like it belonged there at the moment....

I get personally offended when critics don’t appreciate or think of Shahrukh as a great actor! No body can make me feel and cry like he does! We won’t even go into his screen presence. I wish he speaks more openly about his method, I wish I was a fly in his bathroom 😂 ( remember in one of the old interviews Gauri saying that he lives in the bathroom). Veer-Zaara is up there, but it’s also a film by Yash Chopra, cinema at its finest, he is missed, wonder what he would have thought of today’s state of affairs. Lovely reaction, you two should react to Swades. Om Shanti Om, Dil se…. Jab Tak Hai Jan…..Oh so many gems. 🌸

Yep these are the movies that set the notion of love during my teenage times … and then later in life reality stuck where egos and selfish goals did away with the concept 💔… even after 18 years after seeing this I wish someone felt like this for me and vise versa… the other series which let me question the nature of love was the German series dark where it’s a scifi thriller but at the end you realize it’s a love story where the couple are fighting each other to make it out of the time loop so that they can be together
