Yes, it's true! But this year we got a very beautiful romantic movie called Sita Ramam. I think it really is so similar to Veer-Zaara in terms of couple's pure love, innocence, genuineness. Please watch it if you haven't seen it yet.

No comparison between the two movies. I guess Veer-Zaara wins only because it has that early 2000's vibe and SRK does make romance look very authentic. His pain, His love, His desire to meet zaara again but not spoil her image makes that journey of 22 years look very painful but endearing.

I think Veer-Zaara is really the greatest love story ever made (I'm not an Indian, I'm Polish). It was one of the first Indian movies that I got to watch back then in 2006 (it was my 5th film) and since then I've rewatched it at least 30 times. Veer has always been my huge love. And it will always stay this way. I only wanted to encourage more people to give Sita Ramam a chance as after many years it was the first time when I felt similar Veer-Zaara-like purity in a love story. It's true that nothing can replace Veer-Zaara to us as it holds this special sentimental value (they don't make movies like this anymore). Whenever I listen to the music from Veer-Zaara I get so nostalgic, it's really hard to describe my feelings. But Sita Ramam made a huge impression on me lately. I simply cried my eyes out at the end. And Lt. Ram is also an amazing character that melts my heart with his innocence, bravery and uprightness. I think Sita Ramam is really worth watching. It moved me a lot. At least I felt many emotions while watching it. I don't know in which language version you saw it, but I watched it in its original Telugu and to me acting was awesome. All the expressions of Ram & Sita were so lovely and made my heart flutter. Anyways, my point is Veer-Zaara is incredible but Sita Ramam is good too. I think after 15 years people can feel the same nostalgic feeling while rewatching Sita Ramam how we feel now while watching Veer-Zaara.
One of the best written stories in hindi cinema helped with strong performances and mind-blowing music. The last monologue in the climax where SRK recites a self written poem inside the court still gives me goosebumps. Sadly, it is impossible to make such movies in India anymore as it talks about cross border empathy and love. Kudos to the team for selecting this beautiful movie to react.
This movie made me a SRK fan!! He's phenomenol in this movie... I can talk about this movie whole day... The scenic Beauty, the acting by all the actors, the settings, the songs...oh man...the songs.. BEAUTIFUL in every sense.
There's some interesting trivia about the film. When it was released in 2004, the audiences didn't really have access to spoilers and media gossip then. So just like Achara, no one knew Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini were in the film. The audiences watching it then eventually lost their minds seeing such a delightful cameo. Miss those days, haha
Goosebumps at 4.12, just by reading the subtitles and relating them with SRK’s expression and depth in voice. Now imagine why indian audience says nobody romances like him, he is called the king of romance for this very reason. He can make you fall in love with him. He touches your heart thats why he is king of Bollywood
