Mischa. The pond is probably something called a "balancing pond" which aids drainage on the public road and track. Its in case theres a overwhelming downpour of rain and the main drainage cannot cope.
Such ponds nowadays in Germany are built to aid in oil separation. All road/motorway renewals are having such ponds added, where the oil can be syphoned off before the water soaks away/trap the oil when the water evaporates.
Hey Misha, honestly I think I love this channel more than your main. Thanks for taking the time to show these updates, it’s surprising that I simply can’t get enough of the Nordschleife. It’s a dream of mine to finally make it there one day, but in the mean time your videos help me feel like I’m already there!
I hope you’ll make it over here mate. When I first came here after thousands of laps driving my whole youth in Gran Turismo it was one of the best experiences in my life ending on the Brünchen parking lot with all the cars and the sound from the track. The elevation of the entry to brünchen was overwhelming. Since then I’m at least once every 4-6 weeks here with my 240i. It’s heaven on earth. Plan to come here you’ll love it - I guarantee!
My biggest concern is the jump at Pflanzgarten. It’s one of my favorite parts and I always try to jump higher and work on where and how to hit the brakes in order to jump. I’m always first looking for pictures of the jump on racetracker and after that I check the rest. It will be very disappointing if they mess that one up. Cheers from Frankfurt
Being there walking around the exterior of the track is a huge dream of mine, thank you for taking me for a few minutes Misha! Love the behind the scenes stuff!
Hi, if they dont have to brake for the non jump they are faster in/into the gravel, so you have another spot additioned to RUclips corner where they just include it into the driving line! Maybe there are more " mistake " videos from Pflanzgarten than before!😊

This is a great second channel Misha. I do watch all of your off-season track videos which are really useful to understand what has changed. Makes a big difference when returning to the track after and absence.
Hi Misha, thanks a lot for your construction update tour! Eine schöne Weihnachtszeit und frohe Feiertage. Man sieht sieht sich nächstes Jahr wieder, Grüße Carsten
I hope these changes eventually carry over to the assetto corsa evo version of the nordschleife. Cause the version of the ring in assetto 1 is pretty obsolete already.
Is always cool to see changes on track but at same time is sad the jump you not be there anymore, i love this videos showing the other parts of the track and around too
I didn't realise you still had less than 100k subs ... You should have way more Misha! Best of luck with 100k before the end of the year; I'll do my best to share your content around but I think all of my friends who like racing are already subbed!
The track will develope new bumps remember the track when it was first build qas WAYY smother than it is now. Dont worry tourisenfahrten will give it new character 😁
friendly reminder that autosport international show in jan is an absolute rip off these days and not what it used to be 5 years ago when it was amazing. It's now it's a ghost town and to charge 40 quid, and then 20 on top of that for parking because they don't include it.. it's insane.
Serious question that I would like you to answer is possible please Misha. You have said you disagree with some of the resurfacing decisions... do you know who makes those decisions and are there drivers involved in the decisions and is there any chance you can make it onto that "board" if they have advisers to help determine where the yearly resurfacing work will takes place...? I'm assuming that these decision are made by clever people, and people with knowledge of racing, not just engineers...?
The fact that not even the chief instructor of NBR Driving academy or any of the tn24N24 drivers were consulted for the Foxhole curb - I'm 100% sure the people involved don't want any advice from "a RUclipsr".
I really appreciate your reviews of Ford Mustangs! I bought a 2019 Mustang Bullitt new and I appreciate my purchase being validated. The Bullitt is similar enough to what you’ve tested. Thanks for the detailed info in this video.
It would be intresting to know how you think about 1. the jump? If there is no jump anymore, that means for the moment, the pictures of cars in the air are "historic" but yes may will be the laps faster and saver what brings me to 2. the "laptime records" what means that all records that done on the "old" layout are not longer valid. What do you think? A Video would be nice :)
Cool Hike Mischa, Wondering were there change to length of track like adding chicane, to slow the cars, or sections to slow cars. Since the Top 10 times were applied. If so where would the Mustang GTD would with the Adjustments relative to the others GT3 RS or GT4 RS, Lambos and AMG GT RS? Thanks for awesome content. Happy Holidays from Los Angeles California USA. 👨🏻👍🏻🏎🏎🏁🏁🚩🚩🌲🌲⛰⛰
Hehehe .... oh Misha .... you'd really hate living on the wet (west) coast of Canada then my friend !! You gotta get used to rain out here !! Out here we say, 'Vancouverites don't tan .... they RUST !' Upside to that, it's very green, the trees are furry (moss ....) and you really do get some amazing views. Driving, as long as the police don't catch you, can be enjoyable and 'spirited' at times !
Why they don't put gravel, paving slabs, or even concrete of the footpaths around the Ring. It doesn't need to be fancy, just something that doesn't turn into mud with a bit of rain.
Kind of looks like that they are making the Norschleife ready for LMdH, LMH or LMP2/3 cars. Allowing those cars to ride a more lower ride height I suppose?
the map is already outdated befor ac EVO even launches 😂😂😂
It's joever for Kunos. Billions must iRacing.
Last time I checked the map for any game is not a reflection of the launch date
I was about to hop on the video to comment the exact same thing
If a yearly update is the expectation, real boss developers would have the inside line on what the update is and plan it in….
@@synapticbit Maybe but you cannot laserscan it in until after the rework is done, and the laserscanning + conversion to the 3D in-game map is going to take time as well.
the water pond next to the new exit is so you can cool your car down after a hot lap 😋
Or to put ev in if burning? 😂😂
great for the overheating brakes!
And the get break wobbles after that😂
When you order parkour on temu😂😂
We have Shiey at home.

11:28 In German, zis is called a “Regenrückhaltebeckenvorrichtungslochausbaggerung”.
NEIN
In English we say : "drainage pond "
In German we say :
@@slavplaysgamesTo be fair he said “drainage pond hole excavation”
as a german I can confirm he is fully right.

Try using Pflanzgarten II next year. You can easily jump there if you hug the curb on the left a little. 😉
@ I know but the jumps aren’t so high and the landing can be tricky 😄. We also need there a photographer 👍🏼.
I always thought the reason they haven't smoothed out the carousal is to maintain heritage, but then they take out other features like the jump
Subscribed already, always cool to see some "behind the scenes" fotage and similar topics on this channel .

I'm surprised to hear Apex-Nuerburg were sold (to Nurblife).
Marius Althof posted a video earlier today of him driving on the track. He says the the jump will remain.
Misha just want's flight time 🤣🤣

I don’t want a single thing to change on this track. It’s PERFECT with its flaws being part of its amazing character.
Grow up man
I honestly wish they'd bring back the old Brunchen jump, but we all know that will never happen lol
Good one!
Better off to not have them given a spectator has already been killed.
Its a pure safety issue to be able to run events. Not worth the risk.
Are we all just brushing past the engine reveal at the end?? Huge!
I hope these changes eventually carry over to the assetto corsa evo version of the nordschleife. Cause the version of the ring in assetto 1 is pretty obsolete already.

Misha, thanks for always bringing the world the news we need!
If you started with, Good morning Carmrade, this would feel like early Misha videos
The track will develope new bumps remember the track when it was first build qas WAYY smother than it is now. Dont worry tourisenfahrten will give it new character 😁
I just hope the jump isnt removed, as its a feature of the 'Ring' that we all love
Subbed over from the main channel 👊🏻 blessing to you and your family over the holidays
Im wondering how that will affect record times, if the track is going to become a bit faster next season ^^
You read about Apex being sold?
But Robert didn’t tell you first?
None of my business I guess. I did think he didn't want to sell it tho.
we never got his M3 videos too,...

Christmas jumper and your nordschleife book received in UK today - great quality thanks hope to be back next year ( subscribed btw)
Thank you!
That pond is the the retaining pond for the storm water run off from the car park and all of the asphalt around devils Diner.
I was on the track and did a walk in Pflanzgarten I. In my opinion it's not really flattened, but yes we will see in 3 months
ive never been a fan of frozen purple but the more i see it on here the more its starting to grow on me
The temp parkor comment was hilarious
I know this is a racing channel but i do love this construction 🚧 video very informative

I would love to bring home some geology and 24h prototype shrapnel from the ring
Just a thought...They don't ever reverse the direction?
Hey Misha Channel 2 looks good!
What is thr Garmen you are wearing misha! It looks really good!
12:25 They could just place a concrete divider in the middle of the road there to force people to go straight.
I wish they would run reverse direction sometimes
Misha are they going to lower the kerb after the foxhole? I thought there was talk of that happening.
It's the 17th here in Massachusetts
You worry too much Misha, the track will be the track, it always evolves 😉
how many people will try to do a burnout u-turn toward Nurburg? Are you looking for a daily estimate or hourly? or just "yes"

New subscriber. Love the videos. 👍🏻
Hey Misha, which camera did you use for this video?
Apex building sold, another era ends. I just got used to Vulcan Alpha "HQ" and now this...
The Nurburgring has zero pot holes, The surface is immaculate. Only the germans require yearly maintenance, when maintenance isnt required.
Potholes on a racetrack are literally deathtraps. If they keep racing they have to keep it way beyond public road standards
Misha would be the first one to do that burnout U-turn 😁
But where is the obligatory food shot :P
I didn't know they ever changed the track.
Thx for a trip
Are the track changes also in Assetto corsa evo?

What happens to all the lap records of the past if they make the track faster with constructions?
love construction updates!
